Odisha train tragedy: Uttarakhand CM cancels roadshow

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed deep sorrow over the train accident in Odisha. CM Dhami said that the accident in Odisha is heart-wrenching. The CM issued a statement saying that I pray to God that the souls of the deceased rest in peace and the bereaved families find strength in this hour of grief.

Due to the accident, CM Dhami has canceled all the cultural programs and road shows to be organized in Champawat on the completion of one year of his victory in the assembly elections. In the Coromandel Express accident near Bahanaga railway station in Balasore district of Odisha, around 261 people were killed and more than 900 were injured.

There was a wave of mourning in the country due to the worst train accident after independence. The rescue operation of the railway, which started after the incident that took place at 7 pm on Friday, is still going on.
