Delhi Lt Governor Locks Up Top Official’s Office

Lieutenant Governor of Delhi VK Saxena has sacked Jasmine Shah, Vice Chairperson of Delhi Dialogue and Development Commission (DDCD). Shah was accused of misusing his official position to meet political objectives. LG has also written a letter to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in this matter. Officials said that apart from this, Jasmine Shah’s office has been sealed and the facilities given to his have been withdrawn.

Know Reason

The official said that the process is on to bring back his official vehicle and personnel provided by the government. BJP MP Parvesh Verma had complained that Jasmine Shah, despite being the vice president of DDCD, was working as a spokesperson for the Aam Aadmi Party. After receiving this complaint, action was taken against Jasmine Shah.

Lieutenant Governor stopped all facilities of Jasmine The Planning Department of Delhi Government issued an order on Thursday stating that the Lieutenant Governor has ordered Jasmine Shah to stop working as Vice-Chairman of DDCD and avail any privileges and facilities attached to it.

Allegations of power subsidy irregularities Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena ordered the removal of Shah from the post of vice-chairman of DDCD on charges of misusing his office for ‘political purposes’. Shah was accused of irregularities in electricity subsidy. In this matter, the LG had ordered the Chief Secretary to investigate irregularities and discrepancies in the power subsidy received by the AAP government to the BSES discoms.
