Trivendra Singh Rawat has resigned as the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. Trivendra Singh Rawat met Governor Baby Rani Maurya on Tuesday evening and submitted his resignation. There is a meeting of the BJP Legislature Party in Dehradun on Wednesday and it is expected that the name of the new Chief Minister will be announced tomorrow. At the moment, the Governor has asked Trivendra Singh Rawat to remain the acting Chief Minister till the time of the appointment of the new Chief Minister in the state and taking over.

In the press conference after resigning, Trivendra Singh Rawat said that I have been doing politics for a long time. For four years, the party gave me the opportunity to serve as CM. I could not think that I could ever become CM but BJP gave me a chance to serve.

Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the party gave me a golden opportunity to serve this state for four years. I never thought that I would get such an opportunity. The party has now decided that the opportunity to serve as CM should now be given to someone else. As a CM, I am reduced to 9 days in four years.

“All decisions in the party are taken in a collective way. The party has collectively decided that I should now pass on the baton to someone else. Why? For this you will have to go to Delhi,” Rawat said.

It is being told that the central leadership has decided to remove Trivendra Singh Rawat from the post of Chief Minister on the basis of the report of observers. Observers have told the central leadership based on the opinions of the core group and key legislators-MPs that the situation in the state is not very good for next year’s elections. Since then, the role of leadership change in the state was ready. He was informed about this late Monday evening when Trivendra Singh Rawat met BJP President JP Nadda in Delhi. Rawat arrived in Dehradun on Tuesday afternoon after meeting the central leadership in Delhi. He has resigned at a time when his four-year term was to be completed a few days later.


Their name is going forward
As the next Chief Minister of the state, three names are at the forefront. It is believed that one of the Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni, Lok Sabha MP from Nainital, Ajay Bhatt and Cabinet Minister Dhan Singh Rawat can be entrusted with the responsibility of the next Chief Minister of the state. Apart from this, the name of Satpal Maharaj is also included in the race. He recently met prominent Sangh leaders in this regarding . Since the formation of the state in 2000, no Chief Minister has been able to complete his term except for Narayan Dutt Tiwari of the Congress.

Trivendra Singh Rawat was summoned to Delhi on Monday (March 8) by the party high command amid growing political stir in the state. Rawat was about to go to Garrison, the summer capital of the state, but canceled his tour and reached Delhi. He met party president JP Nadda in the afternoon. At the same time, till late evening there was an important meeting between Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah, which also included Organization General Secretary BL Santosh.
