The discussion gained further momentum after a civic appeal by “Jago Punjab Manch” called for a new kind of public leadership, naming Diljit in its outreach. On the work front, Diljit Dosanjh continues to stay active in films and music. He was recently seen in Border 2, a sequel set against the backdrop of the 1971 India-Pakistan war, featuring an ensemble cast including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty.
He is also gearing up for Main Vapas Aaunga, a period romantic drama directed by Imtiaz Ali. The film explores love and separation during the Partition era and stars Sharvari, Naseeruddin Shah and Vedang Raina.
