Speculation around celebrities entering politics has intensified after TVK chief and actor Thalapathy Vijay officially stepped into the political arena. Amid this shift, Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh found himself at the centre of fresh rumours suggesting he could be considered a political face of Punjab. However, the singer-actor has now firmly shut down the chatter with a clear and direct response.
The buzz began after a Punjabi newspaper article went viral on social media, questioning whether Diljit Dosanjh could take on a leadership role in Punjab politics. The discussion gained further momentum after a civic appeal by “Jago Punjab Manch” called for a new kind of public leadership, naming Diljit in its outreach. But the singer wasted no time addressing the speculation himself.

The speculation gained traction after an appeal by “Jago Punjab Manch” circulated online, urging Diljit to consider a larger public role. The message highlighted social and political concerns in Punjab and positioned him as a possible unifying figure.
The appeal mentioned issues like governance, social challenges, and public responsibility, framing Diljit Dosanjh as someone who could “answer the moment.” Despite the attention, Diljit has chosen to stay firmly away from political discussions.
