Akshay Kumar Announces Bhooth Bangla Shoot Wrap, Recreates De Dana Dan Song ‘Gale Lag Ja’ With Wamiqa Gabbi

Akshay Kumar has wrapped up the shoot for his upcoming horror comedy Bhooth Bangla. He shared the update on Instagram with a behind-the-scenes video featuring Wamiqa Gabbi. The video shows them recreating the iconic song “Gale Lag Jaa” from De Dana Dan.

In the video, Akshay wears a green t-shirt and a hat, while Wamiqa stuns in a saree that reminds fans of Katrina Kaif’s look in the original song. They are seen near a waterfall, recreating the same vibe as the 2009 hit.

Sharing the video, Akshay wrote, “And that’s a wrap on #BhoothBangla! My seventh madcap adventure with the ever-inventive Priyan sir, my second outing with the unstoppable Ekta, and my first but hopefully not the last magical journey with the ever-surprising Wamiqa. Grateful for the madness, the magic, and the memories.”

Fans quickly flooded the comments, guessing that the song might also be recreated in the film.

Director Priyadarshan has helmed Bhooth Bangla, with producers Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, and Akshay’s Cape of Good Films backing it. The film is set to release on April 2, 2026. This marks Akshay’s seventh collaboration with Priyadarshan, following hits like Hera Pheri and Bhagam Bhag.

The original “Gale Lag Jaa” featured Akshay and Katrina Kaif. Their sizzling chemistry made the song a fan favourite. The film De Dana Dan also starred Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal, who are now part of Akshay’s upcoming film Welcome To The Jungle.

Akshay To Resume Welcome To The Jungle Shoot Next

After finishing Bhooth Bangla, Akshay will return to shoot Welcome To The Jungle with Suniel and Paresh. However, fans are still concerned about Hera Pheri 3, as Paresh Rawal recently confirmed his exit from the project. Many hope he will return, especially after Akshay had also left and later rejoined the franchise.
