BTS: By winning Pop Duo/Group for the fourth year in a row and the top prize for Favorite K-Pop Artist at the 2022 American Music Awards, BTS got through record victories.
When they won the title for “Favorite Social Artist” at the 2018 American Music Awards, BTS established their first award-winning relationship with the ceremony. They performed at this awards ceremony for the first time as a K-pop group a year ago, in 2017. From that point until this year, it was included on the list of winners five times in a row.

Which awards did they win?
One of the top popular music award shows in the United States, the American Music Awards, saw BTS take home two awards. This makes it five years in a row that BTS has been successful in winning. BTS took home two prizes for “Favorite Pop Duo or Group” and “Favorite K-Pop Artist” during the November 21st awards presentation in Los Angeles, California, USA
Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Moneskin, and One Republic were among the notable contenders in the category of “Favorite Pop Duo or Group”, however BTS created a record by taking home the trophy for 4 straight years starting in 2019. The four awards, in particular, are acknowledged as being the most in the category since the first event in 1974. Additionally, the ‘Favorite K-Pop Artist’ category, which was only created this year, saw them as winners. Major K-pop artists like TWICE, TOMORROW X Jointly, BLACKPINK, and SEVENTEEN were nominated together in this category.
BTS was absent in 2017 awards ceremony
BTS group was absent from the award ceremony in 2017. Jungkook, a member of BTS, gave a memorable performance in the Qatar 2022 World Cup opening ceremony.
