Celina Jaitly REACTS After Brother Refuses To Contact Her
On Monday, Celina posted on Instagram and shared an old family photo with her brother and their parents. Along with the picture, she wrote a long note thanking the Delhi High Court for hearing her plea. She wrote, “Gratitude to the Hon’ble Court & Government of India. Today was the last hearing of my writ petition before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi.”
She explained the reason behind filing the petition and said, “I had approached the Hon’ble Court out of deep concern for the safety, security & well-being of my brother, Maj Vikrant Kumar Jaitly. He is in a foreign nation, and as his sister, especially in the absence of our parents, I felt it was my duty to ensure that he was not left without protection or support. I am myself navigating extremely difficult personal circumstances, including ongoing matrimonial proceedings, yet my concern for my brother’s welfare compelled me to seek judicial intervention.”
Celina also said she received updates from the authorities about her brother’s situation. She was informed that he had been given legal access several times and would continue to receive proper legal representation. She said this made her feel relieved and reassured that the Government of India is supporting him.
She further thanked the court, the legal system and the Ministry of External Affairs for looking into the matter. In her note, she also thanked Senior Partner Sandeep Kapur for standing by her brother and Senior Advocate Sanjay Jain for his support during the case.
Ending her message on an emotional note, Celina wrote, “My only intention has always been his safety, dignity & fair treatment. I remain hopeful & thankful for the continued support extended to him by our Government as a son of our nation.”

Why High Court Closed The Matter
Celina Jaitly’s brother, Major Vikrant Jaitly, a retired Indian Army officer, has been detained in the United Arab Emirates since September 6, 2024. According to reports, the case is linked to alleged national security concerns, but the exact charges have not been made public.
Celina had earlier raised concerns about the long period without clear updates, legal representation or direct communication with him. Because of this, she filed a petition in the Delhi High Court asking for help to meet her brother and ensure his safety.
However, during the hearing on March 16, the court was told that Vikrant had already been given consular access. Authorities also said that he refused legal representation and did not want to communicate with his sister. The court noted that he had unequivocally stated that he is not willing to be represented by any of the law firms.
Since he declined both legal help and contact, the High Court decided to close the petition. At the same time, the court directed the authorities to stay in touch with him and continue providing any help available under the law.
