DON'T MISS
According to her, the impact of the film stayed with her long after the screening ended. She had to rush to catch a flight soon after watching it, but she could not focus on anything else.
She said, “I had to read a script, but I couldn’t. I had to watch something, but I couldn’t. I was just watching the beautiful sunset outside and wondering what I would tell Aditya when the flight landed.”
Yami explained that she wanted to express her feelings properly before speaking to Aditya Dhar. The film had touched her deeply and needed time to sink in.
She also praised the director’s dedication and said, “Aditya loves his audience and the country, and he has given his life’s effort to make this film. Dhurandhar 2 will be an experience the audience will never forget.”
Yami also spoke about her first reaction to the original Dhurandhar. She was shooting for Article 370 when she read the early draft of the script. She shared, “It was just 40 pages, but my eyes welled up. I wasn’t able to say anything, and my reaction was enough to tell Aditya how I truly felt.”
About The Franchise
The Dhurandhar franchise revolves around a high-stakes covert counter-terrorism mission. The story follows an undercover Indian intelligence officer who infiltrates criminal networks and political systems in Karachi to stop a terror operation targeting India. The narrative draws loose inspiration from real events such as the Indian Airlines Flight 814 hijacking, the 2001 Indian Parliament attack and the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
This time, the sequel promises bigger action and higher stakes. However, the box office battle will be intense. Dhurandhar: The Revenge will clash with Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown Ups, starring Yash, which is releasing on the same day.
