Shatrughan Sinha On Dhurandhar 2 Propaganda Claims
In a recent interview, Shatrughan Sinha addressed the claims around Dhurandhar 2. He clearly said he does not agree with the idea that the film is propaganda. He told News18, “I haven’t seen Dhurandhar 2, but I have seen Dhurandhar 1, and I really liked the film. I even tweeted about it.”
He added that films should be seen as entertainment rather than judged too quickly. “I’ve read those claims, but I wouldn’t call it propaganda. A film is a film – it has entertainment, it has grip.”

Sinha also praised director Aditya Dhar for his work and vision. He said, “I believe Aditya Dhar has emerged as a role model today. Such a fine director, such a well-made film. We haven’t seen such engaging cinema in a long time.”

When asked to choose between films like Dhurandhar, Pathaan, Ek Tha Tiger, and Dhurandhar 2, Shatrughan Sinha said, “Dhurandhar, I liked it very much.”
He also spoke about Shah Rukh Khan, but admitted he has not watched Pathaan yet. “And Pathaan — Shah Rukh Khan is a national icon. Of course, I like his films, but I haven’t watched Pathaan.”
The actor once again praised the original film and stood by his opinion. “Dhurandhar was very good. I really liked it.”
When asked about the criticism around Dhurandhar 2, Sinha chose to wait before commenting. He said, “I’ll say something after I watch it. If you want me to say ‘Khamosh,’ I won’t say it right now. I’ll say it after watching the film. I’ve already praised Dhurandhar 1. Once I’ve praised it, that’s the end of the matter.”
Despite the debate, Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge is enjoying a strong run in theatres. The film features actors like R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt and Rakesh Bedi. Within just one week, the film has crossed Rs 1000 crore worldwide. It is now one of the fastest films to reach this mark. The film has also defeated every other Bollywood movie. At present, it is chasing records set by big pan-India films like Pushpa 2 and Baahubali 2.
