All About Rajpal Yadav’s Rs 9 Crore Cheque Bounce Case
The Delhi High Court granted interim relief after Rs 1.5 crore was deposited into the respondent’s bank account. The court suspended the sentence on the condition that Rajpal Yadav furnish a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh along with one surety of the same amount. As per the court’s order, the actor will remain out of custody until March 18, when the matter will be heard again.
The case dates back to 2010, when Rajpal Yadav reportedly borrowed Rs 5 crore from a Delhi-based businessman to finance his directorial debut, Ata Pata Laapata. The loan amount allegedly grew to Rs 9 crore over time. The businessman filed a complaint in 2018 against Rajpal Yadav and his wife, Radha, citing non-repayment. Ata Pata Laapata failed at the box office, further complicating matters.
