34-year-old singer, actress, fashion designer and businesswoman, Rihanna has become America’s youngest self-made billionaire woman, as per Forbes 2022 list revealed last month.
Forbes recently released its 2022 list of “America’s Richest Self-Made Women,” the publication’s annual ranking of the nation’s most financially successful women entrepreneurs, executives, entertainers and more.
No. 21 on the list is 34-year-old Rihanna, the youngest on the entire tally to have a net worth of more than one billion dollars. Her $1.4 billion comes primarily from the success of her cosmetics line, Fenty Beauty, according to Forbes. “She also has a 30% stake in the Savage x Fenty lingerie line, which raised money at a $1 billion valuation in February 2021,” the site also mentions. RiRi is said to be Barbados’ first billionaire, and in April, was announced as the world’s richest female musician.
In 2019, the nine-time Grammy Award winner told The New York Times’ T Magazine that because she never planned on making a fortune, reaching financial milestones was going to stop her from working. She also said that she wants to give the money away to causes that matter.
“My money is not for me; it’s always the thought that I can help someone else. The world can really make you believe that the wrong things are priority, and it makes you really miss the core of life, what it means to be alive,” Rihanna told the magazine, as per CNBC.
