Indian men in their thirties are facing a health and lifestyle crisis. While men in other parts of the world, like Europe, continue to look fit and energetic, many Indian men struggle with hair loss, weight gain and low energy.
According to Mumbai-based doctor Manan Vora, the main culprits are lifestyle habits and diet choices.
Mumbai Doctor Manan Vora Explains The Struggle
Dr Vora says, “This year’s guys are facing a struggle. Some are going bald, some have lost hair, some have gained weight, and some can’t even find a partner. Compare that with thirty-something men in Europe – they still look fit, and you won’t believe it until you see it.”
He explains that after thirty, Indian men start showing signs of ageing more quickly. These include:
- Belly fat accumulation
- Receding hairlines
- Sagging facial features
- Low energy levels
Dr Vora points out that the biggest reasons are long hours of sitting at work, unhealthy snacks and insufficient physical activity. Foods like samosas and kachoris, which are deep-fried, are common and tea is consumed multiple times a day. Main meals often contain mostly carbs and very little protein or vitamins.
How Indian Men Can Fix Their Health
The doctor warns that ignoring protein intake after thirty can worsen the problem. Lack of protein leads to:
- Increased body fat
- Poor posture
- Low energy levels
He stresses that no medicine can fix this—lifestyle changes are essential. To reverse these effects, Indian men should:
- Include protein in every meal, at least four times a week
- Eat a balanced diet with vitamins and minerals
- Engage in regular physical activity, even short workouts, daily
- Reduce consumption of deep-fried snacks and excessive tea
Dr Vora adds, “Yes, it’s basic and boring, but fixing your habits will improve your looks, confidence, and health. No man in his thirties should ignore this.”
With small, consistent changes, Indian men in their thirties can regain energy, improve fitness, and prevent hair loss and weight gain. Prioritising protein-rich meals and cutting down on unhealthy habits is the first step toward a healthier, more confident life.
