CDS Anil Chauhan, Diwali, the festival of light is being celebrated with great pomp across the country. Where Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Ladakh to celebrate Diwali with the soldiers. At the same time, CDS Anil Chauhan also reached Jammu and Kashmir with army personnel to celebrate Diwali. Army Chief General Manoj Pandey also reached Diwali with Indian Army personnel posted in the Sikkim region.
Top officers of the Armed Forces including CDS General Anil Chauhan, Air Chief Marshal VR Choudhary and General Manoj Pandey arrived to celebrate the Diwali festival with troops deployed at forward locations. CDS Anil Chauhan and Air Chief Marshal VR Choudhary celebrate Diwali with soldiers along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.
CDS General Anil Chauhan inquired about the condition of the soldiers. He distributed sweets among the soldiers.
General Manoj Pandey visited the military station in North Bengal and the border area of Sikkim on Sunday and Monday. He extended Diwali greetings to all the soldiers and reviewed the operational preparedness along the Line of Actual Control.
General Manoj Pandey praised the enthusiasm of the soldiers and the fully prepared and alert soldiers to deal with every situation. He also reviewed the ongoing infrastructure projects in the border area and expressed satisfaction over the pace of work. Observed operational preparedness of field formations deployed in Sikkim Sector. Eastern Army Commander Lt Gen RP Kalita also accompanied him in this visit.
