Mulayam Singh Yadav’s Wife Dies At Gurugram Hospital

Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav’s wife Sadhna Gupta died after a prolonged illness at Gurugram’s Medanta Hospital on Saturday.

She was recently admitted to the hospital after complaining of health problems. After her condition deteriorated, she was shifted to the intensive care unit.

Sadhna Gupta was Mulayam Singh Yadav’s second wife. Her son’s name is Prateek Yadav while Bharatiya Janata Party leader Aparna Yadav is her daughter-in-law.

For unversed in the year 2003, Malti Devi, the first wife of Mulayam Singh and mother of Akhilesh Yadav, passed away. A few days later, the SP leader had given the status of the second wife to Sadhna Gupta who is 20 years younger than him.

Sadhna Gupta was a resident of Bidhuna tehsil of Etawah in Uttar Pradesh. On 4 July 1986, she was married to Chandraprakash Gupta of Farrukhabad. After their marriage, Prateek Yadav was born on 7 July 1987. Sadhna and Chandraprakash separated after two years. After this, Sadhna Gupta came in contact with the then SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav.

The deputy CM of Uttar Pradesh, Keshav Prasad Maurya, condoled Gupta’s demise.
