Security Alert! Khalistani Leader Urges Kashmiri Muslims to Disrupt G20 Summit in Delhi; Report

G20 Summit

G20 Summit: Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a founder of Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) and a Khalistani separatist, recorded an audio message in which he urged Kashmiri Muslims living in the Valley to travel to Delhi and disrupt the G20 Summit. On September 9 and 10, the two-day summit will be place in New Delhi. After Friday prayers, Pannun also urged people to march to Pragati Maidan, the venue for the meeting. Additionally, he made threats to fly the Khalistani flag above Delhi’s IGI airport.

Pro-Khalistan Graffiti Evidences Rising Tensions in Delhi

Just a few days prior, pro-Khalistan graffiti was scrawled all over Delhi’s metro stations. Two SFJ members were detained by the police for using anti-Indian language. Officials claimed that Gurupatwant Singh Pannu ordered the slogans to be written. Several metro stations in west Delhi, including Punjabi Bagh, Shivaji Park, Madipur, Paschim Vihar, Udyog Nagar, Maharaja Surajmal Stadium, and Nangloi, have slogans like “Delhi Banega Khalistan” and “Khalistan Referendum Zindabad” spray-painted on their walls.

Security Measures Fortified Ahead of Historic G20 Summit in Delhi

According to authorities, Pannun’s audio message exposed his affiliation with the ISI and its K2 (Kashmir-Khalistan) agenda. With the exception of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping, G20 leaders will shortly arrive in Delhi to participate in the two-day conference. The G20 Summit is being held in India for the first time, making this a historic occasion. The Delhi Police stated that extensive security measures are in place and that 1,30,000 security personnel will be deployed to make sure that no infiltration, terror act, or sabotage occurs. Additionally, authorities will deploy Artificial Intelligence (AI) modules to guarantee impenetrable security at the event locations.
