There will be several benefits and challenges faced by users because of this transition. - Will probably need a new charging brick.
- Apple will lose money.
- Apple will need to invest in changes for both hardware and software changes.
- Apple will have to invest in new production lines.
These are some of the benefits and challenges that will be faced by the users as well as Apple. We do prefer this change as there are more benefits of the new USB port than there are challenges to be faced. This transition should have happened years ago with the inclusion of USB Type-C ports in the iPad.
