Indian Navy successfully test fired BrahMos missile from a Kolkatta class guided missile destroyer warship in the Arabian Sea. The missile managed to hit target with precision.

12 Indians who were taken to Libya by an agent in a fake job racket has been rescued by National Commission for Minorities (NCM) from Libya. This update was given by Iqbal Singh Lalpura, chairman of the National Commission for Minorities (NCM). Commission coordinated with the Indian Embassy in Tunisia in organizing the rescue operations of stranded Indians from war torn Libya.

China hiked its defense budget by 7.2 per cent, which is marginally higher than last year (about USD 225 billion). It is the eighth consecutive year of increase in its military spending.

Deputy Foreign Minister Evgeny Ivanov has stated that Russia is working on easing visa procedures for six countries, including India, Syria and Indonesia. Earlier Ivanov had stated that Russia is also preparing intergovernmental agreements on visa-free trips with 11 countries, including Saudi Arabia, Barbados, Haiti, Zambia ,Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico and Trinidad.
7. Penny Saved Penny Earned: India saves just $2 per barrel even after Russia’s deep discount
Analysis by IndiaTrade reveals that as increase in India’s subsidized purchases of Russian crude following Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine a year ago is likely to save around $2.5 billion in the first three quarters of the current fiscal year. Though the savings might be substantial for India, are far less than many expected amid reports of huge discounts offered by Russia.
