Weather forecast: IMD issues thunderstorm-rainfall warning

For the last two days, due to the sudden change in the weather pattern in the national capital Delhi, winter has increased once again. In the last 48 hours, there has been hailstorm along with heavy rain in many areas.

According to the Meteorological Department, due to this rain, strong winds will prevail for the next two days and the temperature will also drop. Delhi has recorded 10.1 mm of rain till 8.30 am on Saturday. On the other hand, the day’s mercury dropped two points from normal to 23.8 degree Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, the sky will remain cloudy in Delhi and its adjoining areas on Sunday as well.

The weather may once again take a turn in Uttar Pradesh. While issuing an alert, the Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of rain in the coming days in many parts of western Uttar Pradesh.

The possibility of hailstorm has also been expressed in some areas. Earlier on Friday, hailstorm accompanied with rain occurred in some areas including Saharanpur and Muzaffarnagar. At the same time, it rained in some areas of Meerut countryside. Due to strong wind, rain and hailstorm, the mustard crop has suffered heavy damage, while the winter has also increased. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain in Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand and Odisha for the next two days, while there is a possibility of hailstorm and lightning at isolated places during the next 24 hours.

In Rajasthan, the cold has completely gone and the heat has knocked. The maximum temperature recorded here in the last 24 hours was 35 degree Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department of the capital Jaipur, the highest temperature in the last 24 hours was recorded in the border city of Barmer.

Light rain is also likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura for the next two days. The Meteorological Department has said that a low pressure area has formed in the Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea, due to which there is a possibility of rain in the nearby areas.
