Weather Update: The Indian Southwest monsoon is expected to continue advancing due to favourable atmospheric conditions, according to the IMD. The department has issued a yellow notice for central Maharashtra, which includes Pune, and an orange alert for Sindhudurg. There is a red alert warning for heavy rain across Kerala, Karnataka, and Goa, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). However, the meteorological office is predicting mostly cloudy sky with light rain or drizzle on Sunday in Delhi. It will give some relief to the Delhiites. According to weather official, the southwest monsoon moved into Jharkhand and reached two of the state's twenty-four districts.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) says that the partly overcast weather will continue, adding that Mumbai and its suburbs will see some mild rains in the afternoon and evening. It is anticipated that Delhi would have maximum and minimum temperatures of approximately 40°C and 30°C, respectively. Moreover, Patna and Ranchi would have partly cloudy sky with the possibility of little rain.

According to IMD, some parts of Goa, Kerala, and Karnataka are likely to see extremely heavy rainfall. However the IMD reports that there has been heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in various areas of Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. Additionally the IMD anticipates severe rainfall in isolated areas of Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Assam, Tripura, Lakshadweep and Karnataka. According to IMD, there is a high probability of heat waves in certain areas of Uttar Pradesh.
