Weather Update: The meteorological service has forecasted that there would be mostly clear skies, a heat wave, and strong surface winds in Delhi during daytime. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave warning in a number of areas of Uttar Pradesh. In addition to the heatwave, the IMD issued a red alert for four districts in West Bengal( including Kolkata) and it's neighbouring state like Sikkim. The IMD also predicted the possibility of flooding and landslides in West Bengal, despite the region's ongoing deluge of rain. In its most recent Mumbai weather report, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted a typically cloudy sky with a chance of thundershowers. However it may have moderate to heavy rain in Mumbai. The nation's capital, Delhi along with Chennai and Ranchi have continuous heat wave conditions.
According to the IMD, Meghalaya will likely see some areas of severe to very heavy rainfall. Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, and Telangana are likely to see heavy rains in certain areas. According to IMD, heat waves are quite likely to occur across the parts of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab,Bihar and Jharkhand. Additionally, the heat wave conditions are present in several areas of Uttarakhand, Odisha, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
