Shah Rukh Khan: The uproar over Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film, Pathaan, shows no signs of subsiding. In the latest development, a Hindu seer from Ayodhya made disturbing comments about Pathaan actors Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, following anger from politicians and right-wing supporters over the song from the movie Besharam Rang.
In a startling statement, seer Paramhans Acharya from Tapasvi Chhavni, stated that he would burn Shah Rukh Khan alive if he had the chance. According to Paramhans Acharya, the song “Besharam rang” includes objectionable lyrics because it ridicules the color saffron.
‘Will burn him alive’
“People of our Sanatan Dharma are protesting continuously regarding this. Today we have burnt the poster of Shahrukh Khan. If I get to meet the film Jihadi Shah Rukh Khan, I will burn him alive,” the seer said.
He declared that if Pathaan film was shown in theatres, he would burn the building in protest. He also appealed to people not to watch Pathaan. Earlier, Raju Das, the priest of Hanumangarhi, had also voiced opposition to the movie.
Meanwhile, the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) ‘s right-wing party has already expressed their displeasure with Deepika Padukone’s saffron attire and specific sequences in the song “Pathan.”
Anger over Deepika’s outfit
The group demanded that the movie be edited immediately. Padukone’s outfit drew the ire of the VHP, a group associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The group objected to the song’s title, Besharam Rang, and claimed that the Hindu society would never consent to a film of this nature.
Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police received a written complaint demanding an FIR in this regard. A complaint was filed on Saturday against the film’s producer, director, and lead actor-actress for deliberately using saffron to hurt Hindu sentiments.
