World record for Yoga session: Guinness world record for most nationalities in a Yoga session

PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday (June 21) led the yoga ceremony organized on the International Day of Yoga at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. In this program, people from many countries did yoga with PM Modi. Yoga World Record has also been made for doing yoga together with people from many countries.

Official adjudicator and spokesperson of Guinness World Records, Michael Emprik said that the yoga session led by Prime Minister Modi at the United Nations has created a Guinness World Record in terms of participation of people from the largest number of countries. A large number of people reached the United Nations Headquarters to participate in this historic program organized on the occasion of International Yoga Day.

PM Modi also addressed this program before doing yoga. The Prime Minister thanked all the people who came to do yoga. He said that I have been told that people of almost every nationality are present here today. I am happy to see all of you and thank you all for coming here. About nine years ago, here at the United Nations, I got the opportunity to make a proposal regarding the International Day of Yoga on 21st June.

“Yoga Copyright Free, Patent Free”

He said that yoga came from India and like all ancient Indian traditions, it is also alive. Yoga is free from copyrights, patents and royalty payments. Yoga is a way of life. It is a way of being careful in thoughts and actions. It is a way of living in harmony with oneself, with others and with nature. Yoga means to join so you are coming together, this is the expression of another form of yoga.
