YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra and 5 More Persons Arrested for Traitor Activities, Check Details

YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra: Haryana based youtuber Jyoti and five other persons were arrested for passing sensitive information with Pakistani intelligence operatives(PIOs) through whatsapp and telegram. These traitors were getting regular payment from Pakistan for these activities.

Who is Youtuber Jyoti Malhotra and How She Got Involved in These Activities?

•    Jyoti Malhotra is a youtuber who runs the YouTube channel named as "Travel with Jo". 
•    Authorities have exposed that she visited Pakistan in 2023 after acquiring a visa through commission agents. During this trip, she extended close links with Ehsan-ur-Rahim /Danish, an official at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi.
•    Danish, who has since been declared persona non grata by the government and expelled on May 13, 2025, introduced Jyoti to multiple PIOs. Jyoti continued in contact on encrypted platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, and Snapchat with PIOs including Shakir/ Rana Shahbaz, whom she saved as Jatt Randhawa. 
•    She shared sensitive information regarding Indian places. She was also aggressively projecting a positive image of Pakistan on social media. As per investigators she was also entered into an intimate relationship with a PIO and even travelled to Bali, Indonesia with him. 
•    She  has been charged under Section 152 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 3, 4, and 5 of the Official Secrets Act, 1923. A written confession has been obtained from her, and the case has been given to the Economic Offences Wing, Hisar.

Another Main Accused Guzala from Punjab Also Arrested

•    Another main accused person is Guzala, a 32-year-old widow from Malerkotla, Punjab. To apply for a visa, she visited the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi on 27th February 2025. There, she met Danish and started talking to him on a regular basis. 
•    Danish ultimately convinced her to switch from WhatsApp to Telegram to be safer. He achieved her trust by promising marriage, initiating a romantic relationship through chats and video calls.
•    Later, Danish started sending money to Guzala: 10,000 on 7th March through PhonePe, and  20,000 on 23rd March 23 through Google Pay. 
•    On April 23, Guzala again went to the Pakistan High Commission with her friend Banu Nasreena, another widow from Malerkotla. Danish again enabled their visa.

Who are the Remaining Accused  and Arrested Persons?

•    Others arrested persons include Yameen, Devinder, and Arman for allegedly passing sensitive information to Pakistani operatives. The network extended across Haryana and Punjab.
•    Yameen Mohd from Malerkotla, collaborated with the Danish in financial transactions and visa-related activities
•    Devinder Singh Dhillon from Kaithal, Haryana, a Sikh student came in contact during a pilgrimage to Pakistan and sent videos of Patiala cantonment
•     Arman from Nuh, Haryana supplied Indian SIM cards, transferred funds, and visited the Defence Expo 2025 on directions from PIOs.

As per officials the case is part of a larger spying operation, where susceptible individuals from religious and social backgrounds were influenced  through emotions, connections, monetary rewards, and fake promises of marriage. These accused have admitted their roles and addition investigations are ongoing.
