Operation Sindoor:  May 7, 2026, marks the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor that was carried out by the armed forces of India in retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack. Today, several top political and other dignitaries mourn the loss of innocent lives during the terror operations of Pakistani infiltrators.

Political Dignitaries Remember Martyrs

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted on X that our armed forces displayed unparalleled courage, precision and resolve during Operation Sindoor. Modi added that the event reflected India’s firm response against terrorism and an unwavering commitment to safeguarding national security.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh remarked that India salutes the valour and sacrifices of our armed forces, whose courage and dedication continue to safeguard the nation.  Singh added that their actions during the operation reflected unmatched precision, seamless unity and deep synergy across services, setting a benchmark for modern military operations.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis remarked that Operation Sindoor stood as a resolute response by the Indian Armed Forces, neutralising terror camps across the border and sending a clear message against those who seek to harm.

Brave Acts Of Rizwan Malik

Squadron Leader Rizwan Malik, a highly talent and resourceful fighter pilot from Manipur, emerged as one of the symbols of courage and precision during Operation Sindoor 2025 in modern aerial warfare. Malik was awarded the prestigious Vir Chakra, the country’s third-highest wartime gallantry medal, on Independence Day last year for his heroics.

Malik piloted a Su-30MKI fighter jet during Operation Sindoor airstrikes to deliver lethal strikes deep inside the territory of Pakistan. The brave pilot’s actions helped greatly in neutralizing key terror infrastructure of the terror state while also exemplifying the evolving doctrine of calibrated deterrence of the Indian Air Force (IAF).

A Sainik-school passout, Malik applied for the National Defence Academy (NDA) was commissioned in the country’s armed forces in the year 2014. He went on to join the 195th Flying (Pilot) Course of the IAF in 2015 and became a Flight Lieutenant in 2017 before being promoted as a Squadron Leader in 2021.

Malik flew his fighter jet in complete darkness and successfully navigated hostile airspace to evade detection and align for weapon release. Malik went on to successfully operate within a high-risk engagement zone to neutralize a series of targets.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are on a roll in the Indian Premier League 2026 and with every win the popularity of co-owner Kavya Maran is increasing, who is fast becoming one of the most talked about faces in the stands. Her animated reactions during the matches have gone viral once again and have added a new dimension to SRH’s impressive campaign.

The latest moment came after the thrilling 10-run victory of Hyderabad over Chennai Super Kings at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. The hard-fought contest not only helped SRH improve their position in the points table but also gave another priceless reaction from Kavya Maran.

Explosive Performances Power SRH’s Ascent

Sunrisers Hyderabad came up with a clinical performance against Chennai. Young opener Abhishek Sharma set the tone with fearless batting as he blazed a stunning 59 off 22 balls. Heinrich Klaasen then scored a vital 59 off 39 balls to help SRH reach a competitive total of 194/9.

Eshan Malinga and Nitish Kumar Reddy held their nerve in the final overs to seal the victory. The result helped SRH move into the top four with three wins from six matches, improving their chances of making the playoffs.

Kavya Maran’s Party Creates New Buzz Again

The winning moment arrived with Cameras capturing Kavya Maran celebrating with pure emotion. She was seen clapping wildly, punching the air and cheering passionately from the stands. The clip was picked up immediately on social media, with fans describing her reactions as “heartwarming” and “the spirit of cricket fandom.”

This isn’t the first time her celebrations are not making headlines. Earlier in the season, she had become a social media sensation during Abhishek Sharma’s explosive 135* against Delhi Capitals and his quickfire 15-ball fifty against Chennai.

But what makes Kavya Maran special is the fact that her emotions appear real. Her celebrations are natural and relatable, unlike the often contrived corporate reactions seen in sports ownership circles.

The latest National Crime Records Bureau report has identified Delhi as the most crime-affected metro city in India, with high numbers of murders, kidnappings, thefts, and crimes against women. The report has sparked fresh concerns over public safety, policing efficiency, and rising urban crime in the national capital. Experts believe population pressure and rapid urbanization are contributing to the growing challenge.

Capital Under Pressure as NCRB Data Sparks Concern

The latest National Crime Records Bureau report has placed Delhi under fresh scrutiny after the city recorded the highest number of serious crimes among Indian metros. The data has raised concerns over public safety and law enforcement effectiveness.

Murder and Kidnapping Figures Raise Alarm

Delhi reported a high number of murder and kidnapping cases in the NCRB report. Crimes involving women and minors especially became a major concern, prompting demands for stricter policing and better surveillance systems.

Theft and Street Crime Continue to Rise

The report also showed a rise in theft, snatching, burglary, and vehicle-related crimes in Delhi. Residents in several areas have expressed worries about increasing street crimes and delayed police response during emergencies.

Crimes Against Women Remain a Serious Issue

Cases related to harassment, assault, and stalking continued to remain high in Delhi. Activists and citizens are urging authorities to improve women’s safety through stronger security measures and faster legal action.

Experts Link Crime to Urban Pressure

Experts believe Delhi’s growing population, urban stress, and economic inequality are contributing factors behind rising crime rates. They also noted that better reporting systems may partially explain the higher numbers recorded in the city.

Public Demands Stronger Safety Measures

Following the NCRB report, people have demanded stricter patrolling, better emergency response systems, and improved public safety infrastructure. The report has once again intensified discussions around crime control in the national capital.

Meanwhile, Nora Fatehi is also making headlines for another reason. The actor is scheduled to appear before the National Commission for Women (NCW) after being summoned over the alleged indecent portrayal of women in the song Sarke Chunar from the film KD The Devil.

Last month, actor Sanjay Dutt also appeared before the Commission in connection with the controversy and submitted a written apology, expressing regret for any “unintended” harm caused to society.

Nora Fatehi had earlier clarified that she shot only the Kannada version of the song and claimed her permission was not taken for the Hindi version.

Ted Turner Death: From Calling Christianity ‘For Losers’ To Defending 9/11 Attackers, CNN Founder’s Most Explosive Moments Revisited

Ted Turner Death - His Most Explosive Moments Revisited

Ted Turner, the legendary founder of CNN and one of the most influential figures in global media, has died at the age of 87. Turner passed away peacefully at his home near Tallahassee, Florida, on May 6, 2026. His death marks the end of a media era that changed television news forever. While tributes continue to pour in for his groundbreaking work, many are also revisiting the controversies that made Turner one of America’s most outspoken and divisive public figures.

Known as the “Mouth of the South,” Ted Turner built a reputation not only for creating the world’s first 24-hour news channel but also for making shocking public remarks that often sparked outrage. From controversial comments about Christianity and overpopulation to his statements following the 9/11 attacks, Turner repeatedly found himself at the center of heated national debates. Despite the backlash, he remained unapologetically outspoken for decades.

Ted Turner Remembered As Media Visionary

Turner launched CNN in 1980 and forever transformed the television news industry. Many experts initially doubted whether viewers would watch news around the clock. However, Turner proved critics wrong and turned CNN into a global powerhouse.

Following news of his death, several media personalities and political figures paid tribute to him. CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer described Turner as a fearless leader, while CNN CEO Mark Thompson called him the presiding spirit behind the network’s success.

Turner had been living with Lewy body dementia since at least 2018. He once described the condition as a “mild” but exhausting form of memory loss. He is survived by his five children, 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His family plans to hold a private service before organizing a public memorial later.

Most Controversial Statements By Ted Turner

Even as he reshaped the media world, Ted Turner’s comments regularly triggered public backlash. One of his most criticised remarks came in 1990 when he referred to Christianity as a “religion for losers.” The statement angered religious groups across the United States and became one of the defining controversies of his career.

In 2001, Turner again faced criticism after reportedly calling Catholic employees wearing Ash Wednesday crosses “Jesus freaks.” He later issued a formal apology for the comment.

Turner also sparked outrage over his views on overpopulation and environmental issues. He openly supported strict population control measures and once suggested that a global population of 250–300 million people would be ideal for the planet. He even urged world leaders to adopt policies similar to China’s former one-child policy.

9/11 Remarks And Rupert Murdoch Feud Fueled Outrage

Ted Turner’s comments after the September 11 terror attacks created another major controversy. While discussing extremism, Turner described the attackers as “brave,” a word that immediately triggered backlash nationwide. He later clarified that he had “grabbed the wrong word” while attempting to explain the motivations behind extremists.

Another controversy erupted in 2012 when Turner described rising military suicide rates as “good.” After criticism, he explained that he meant it was “good” that people were becoming more opposed to war.

Turner was also famous for his bitter rivalry with media tycoon Rupert Murdoch. Their feud became one of the biggest media battles of the era. At one point, Turner compared Murdoch to Adolf Hitler and even challenged him to a televised boxing match.

Despite decades of controversy, Ted Turner’s influence on journalism and television remains undeniable. His bold vision changed news broadcasting forever, while his outspoken personality ensured he was rarely out of headlines.

BJP never seeks votes on economic progress or development, it fights elections through religion & caste divisions, hatred and attempts to fracture national unity: Harpal Singh Cheema

Harpal Cheema

Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema on Wednesday strongly condemned the recent blasts in the Khasa area of Amritsar and at Border Security Force (BSF) Chowk in Jalandhar, describing them as a deliberate attempt to spread terror and disturb Punjab’s hard-earned peace and communal harmony.

Addressing a press conference at Punjab Bhawan, Cabinet Minister Harpal Singh Cheema asserted that the BJP is attempting to create an atmosphere of fear and division in Punjab for political gains ahead of elections. “Wherever state assembly elections approach, whether it is West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu or Uttar Pradesh, the BJP follows the same strategy of sowing hatred and division among people. Instead of focusing on the economy or the condition of the poor, the BJP tries to polarise voters on the basis of caste and religion.”

He affirmed, “By inciting violence and playing with the blood of innocent people, they (BJP) seek power at any cost. The AAP strongly condemns such politics.”

Referring to the recent meeting led by CM Bhagwant Singh Mann with the President of India, Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said, “The AAP leadership raised the concerns and voice of three crore Punjabis before the highest constitutional authority of the country. Soon after that, statements and rhetoric from BJP leaders made it evident that Punjab had become their next political target. The recent blasts are a direct reflection of this dangerous and destructive agenda.”

Reaffirming Punjab’s unity and resilience, the Minister stated, “Punjab is the sacred land of Gurus, Pirs and brave warriors. I want to remind those trying to divide Punjab that the seeds of hatred have never succeeded in this land and never will. Punjabis have always stood united and defeated divisive forces.”

Paying tribute to the immense sacrifices made by Punjabis for the nation, Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema said, “Punjabis have made unparalleled contributions in safeguarding the country, from the freedom struggle to the wars of 1962, 1965 and 1971. The spirit of sacrifice runs in the veins of Punjab’s youth. Even during recent border tensions, young children from Punjab came forward to provide milk and food to soldiers deployed at the border.”

Drawing a contrast between the politics of the AAP and the BJP, Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said, “Under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal and CM Bhagwant Singh Mann, the AAP is committed to politics based on work and development. Our government is focused on world-class education, better healthcare infrastructure, strong public services and maintaining strict law and order. On the other hand, the BJP depends on religion, caste politics and poaching elected representatives to destabilise democracy.”

In his concluding remarks, Minister Harpal Singh Cheema assured the people that Punjab stands firmly united against every attempt to disturb peace and harmony. He said, “The Punjab Government is fully committed to protecting the sovereignty, unity and integrity of India. Strict action will be taken against anti-social elements and those backing them politically. The Bhagwant Mann government will not allow anyone to terrorise Punjab or weaken its social fabric.”

Punjab Police’s ‘Yuva Saanjh’ Programme Tracks 2,358 At-Risk Youth Online, Pulls Them Back Before Gangs Do

Punjab Police

Taking community policing to the next level, Punjab Police, under its ‘Yuva Saanjh Programme’, has intensified its outreach to disoriented youth, complementing its ongoing crackdown against organised crime under Operation ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’. A series of meetings, chaired by Special Director General of Police (SDGP), Community Affairs Division (CAD), Gurpreet Kaur Deo, has been conducted since January to sensitise officers and community stakeholders on implementation modalities.

Positioned as the preventive arm of ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’, the programme focuses on offering constructive alternatives to prevent youth from drifting towards extremism, gun culture, drug abuse, and other harmful influences. In the past four months, five interactions have been held—the highest since inception, with 11 more planned over the next eight months to further expand outreach.

Under the initiative, Punjab Police identifies vulnerable youth across communities, including those influenced by online extremism, violence, or gangster culture. So far, 2,358 individuals have been identified through social media analysis, with 1,519 profiles created on the state-level ‘Yuva Saanjh Software’.

Punjab Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said, “Punjab Police is pursuing a calibrated two-pronged strategy, decisive enforcement through ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’ and sustained preventive engagement through ‘Yuva Saanjh’. Psychological profiling, structured counselling, and family involvement form the backbone of this initiative. Cases requiring deeper intervention are referred to sub-divisional community centres, ensuring continuity of care. Our objective is clear: to dismantle criminal networks while simultaneously insulating our youth from being drawn into them.”

A total of 1,490 individuals have undergone sensitisation, while 1,109 have attended counselling sessions. Overall, 1,836 individuals have been brought under counselling by district intelligence units, with an additional 522 identified independently by district teams.

At the field level, District Yuva Saanjh Committees, headed by SP/DCPO-rank officers nominated by CPs/SSPs, are driving implementation. These committees bring together civil society members, retired officials, psychologists, NGOs, and community representatives to ensure a coordinated, community-led response.

SDGP Gurpreet Kaur Deo said, “While ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’ is aimed at dismantling organised crime networks, ‘Yuva Saanjh’ focuses on prevention, identifying vulnerable youth at an early stage and guiding them towards constructive pathways. Our approach is firm where required, but equally empathetic where timely intervention can change the course of a young life.”

Rehabilitation is facilitated by CPs/SSPs in coordination with the District Administration, Punjab Skill Development Mission (PSDM), and partner organisations. Support includes skill development, employment linkage, and financial assistance where required, ensuring our youth are guided towards stable and productive pathways, away from negative influences.

“The initiative has helped the Punjab Police to not only reduce the crime rate on ground, but also in preventing the state youth from supporting trouble makers. This is perhaps the first of its kind initiative launched by any state police in the country. The Punjab Police has launched such a massive programme to allow youth to clear their doubts and come face-to-face with reality,” said Gurmeet Singh, SSP, Fazilka.

He further added, “In our district alone, we have managed to build a good stronghold of law-abiding youth to strengthen the power of state.”

Previous rulers who shielded those responsible for beadbi will soon be behind bars: CM Bhagwant Singh Mann

CM Mann

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Wednesday declared that those who remained hand in glove with the perpetrators of beadbi (sacrilege) of Sri Guru Granth Sahib during previous regimes would soon be put behind bars, asserting that the Punjab Government has now ensured strict legal punishment for anyone involved in desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji through the historic Jaagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar (Amendment) Act 2026.

Addressing a massive gathering during the Shukrana Yatra, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said the Act would act as a permanent deterrent against beadbi and ensure that no one dares to disturb Punjab’s peace and communal harmony again. Expressing gratitude to the Almighty for giving him the opportunity to serve humanity through the enactment of the law, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “My heart is indebted to the Almighty for blessing me with the service of enacting the Jaagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar (Amendment) Act 2026, which provides harsher punishment for beadbi.”

He urged people to spread awareness in villages about the provisions of the law and ensure that the masses know that anyone indulging in beadbi would now face stern punishment. “Fearing punishment, top opposition leaders, including Akali leader Sukhbir Singh Badal, are already on the run,” he added.

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said previous rulers neither had the intent nor the will to enact a law to stop beadbi, due to which incidents of desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji became a recurring tragedy during their rule. “The Punjab Government has now passed a law that will put an end to this forever because no one will dare to commit such an unpardonable offence again,” he stated. Slamming the Akali leadership, he said they had ordered firing on innocent people who were protesting against beadbi incidents across Punjab.

Targeting the Akali leadership over the drug menace, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “The Akalis should be booked for the genocide of generations because they patronised the drug trade, which flourished during their long misrule.” He asserted that the hands of these leaders were stained with the blood of Punjab’s youth who fell prey to drugs allegedly supplied in official vehicles during previous regimes. “Their sins are unpardonable and the people of Punjab can never forgive them for destroying generations,” he remarked.

Condemning the Akali Dal for hurting the sentiments of Punjabis through beadbi incidents, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said the Akalis sought votes in the name of Gurbani while simultaneously disrespecting the bani of the Gurus. Referring to the former Deputy Chief Minister, he said Akali leaders often boast of development during their tenure but deliberately ignore Kotakpura, Behbal Kalan and other incidents where beadbi took place and innocent people lost their lives.

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann further said that the Akali leadership mercilessly looted Punjab and patronised mafias that weakened the state socially and economically. “They emotionally bruised Punjabis and protected mafias that ruined Punjab. Their role in encouraging the drug trade during their rule amounts to betrayal of the people,” he said.

Taking a jibe at Sukhbir Singh Badal, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said the Akalis have completely lost their support base among the masses and now rely on paid workers to create crowds at rallies. “The same faces are visible in every Akali rally,” he said, adding that leaders who once claimed they would rule Punjab for 25 years have now been pushed into political oblivion by the wise and courageous people of Punjab. Calling the Akali leadership opportunistic, he said they change their stance and ideology according to political convenience.

Citing an example, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said leaders responsible for beadbi had once appeared before Sri Akal Takht Sahib and admitted their mistakes publicly, but later took a complete U-turn when it no longer suited their political interests. “The people of Punjab know their real face and understand how they have repeatedly misled the public through political gimmicks,” he asserted. He added that leaders once considered politically invincible are today unable to even find five members to constitute a party committee.

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann reminded people that previous rulers had patronised gangsters and shielded drug smugglers, pushing Punjab’s youth toward addiction. “The people of Punjab will never forgive the Akalis for these sins and will teach them another befitting lesson,” he said, adding that despite repeatedly being elected by the people, the Akalis betrayed Punjab and backstabbed its citizens. “They misused religion for political interests and the people can never forgive them for this,” he added.

Highlighting the significance of the legislation, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said the Punjab Government was fortunate to have been entrusted with the responsibility of passing such a historic Act. “Beadbi of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was part of a deep-rooted conspiracy to disturb peace, brotherhood and communal harmony in Punjab,” he stated, adding that the Act clearly stipulates exemplary punishment for anyone found guilty of the offence.

Expressing hope that the law would deter future incidents, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is like a father to every Sikh and protecting its sanctity is the collective responsibility of society.

He said people across the world are expressing gratitude and happiness over the enactment of the law. “To thank the Almighty for giving us the strength and courage to pass this historic Act, I have begun this Shukrana Yatra from Sri Anandpur Sahib,” he said, adding that till May 9 he would pay obeisance at Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib, Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Damdama Sahib, Mastuana Sahib, Gurdwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib and Sri Fatehgarh Sahib.

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said the sole objective of the yatra is to express gratitude to the Almighty for enabling the Punjab Government to enact this important legislation. Thanking the people who gathered in large numbers despite the scorching heat, he said he remains committed to serving the people. “Unlike leaders who step out only after checking the temperature outside, I remain among the people for their welfare,” he added.

Divisive politics & attempts to create conflict among communities are dangerous for democracy & against the ideals of our martyrs: CM Bhagwant Singh Mann

CM Mann

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Wednesday launched a blistering attack on divisive politics being promoted across the country, warning that deliberate attempts to create conflict among communities are pushing the nation away from the ideals for which Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh and other martyrs sacrificed their lives. Addressing a massive gathering during the “Shukrana Yatra” after paying obeisance at Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s native village Khatkar Kalan, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said the Punjab Government has enacted a strict anti-beadbi law to ensure no culprit escapes punishment by exploiting legal loopholes.

Sharing a few snippets of X, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann stated: “Today, I bowed at the sacred land of Khatkar Kalan, the birthplace of Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh Ji, and paid tribute to the unparalleled sacrifices of our martyrs. Every step taken by the massive gathering of devotees who joined the Shukrana Yatra is deeply honourable for us.”

“By the immense grace of the Almighty, we have been blessed with the opportunity to enact a strict law against beadbi, for which we remain grateful to Guru Sahib. The universal message of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji shows us the path of ‘Sarbat da Bhala’. Our work to protect the religious sentiments of people and ensure the welfare of the public will continue relentlessly,” the post concluded.

Addressing a massive gathering during the “Shukrana Yatra”, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said that while the Punjab Government is committed to following the path shown by the great martyrs, the dream of freedom envisioned by Shaheed Bhagat Singh and his comrades still remains incomplete. “This is not the India for which our martyrs sacrificed their lives. Today, divisive politics and attempts are constantly being made to create conflicts among communities. This goes against the very spirit of democracy and nationalism,” he said.

The Chief Minister said that the Punjab Government is continuously working to fulfil the aspirations of the freedom fighters and will never allow the sacrifices of the martyrs to fade away. He said that a world-class museum is being constructed so that people from across the globe can visit and understand that India’s freedom was not achieved through gifts or favours, but through the supreme sacrifices of priceless gems like Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Rajguru and Shaheed Sukhdev.

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said that he had begun the “Shukrana Yatra” by paying obeisance at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib and throughout the journey, devotees welcomed the yatra with flowers and Siropas. He said that this gratitude does not belong to any individual but to the Almighty, who entrusted the Punjab Government with the responsibility of enacting strict laws to stop incidents of beadbi of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

“The Almighty blessed us with the opportunity to bring and implement a strict law against beadbi of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. We have come here to express gratitude for that service,” he said.

Thanking the people, especially mothers and sisters who gathered in huge numbers despite the intense heat, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said that every incident of beadbi deeply wounded the sentiments of millions of people. He said that while people always hoped the culprits would be punished, legal loopholes repeatedly allowed the accused to walk free by claiming mental instability.

“Many times, accused escaped punishment by saying that their mind was disturbed or that they were mentally unstable. But if someone is truly mentally unstable, why does he target only Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji? Why does he not crash into a train engine or touch live electric wires? The truth is that many such acts were deliberate and orchestrated,” CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said.

The Chief Minister said that to prevent misuse of such loopholes, the Punjab Government has incorporated strict provisions in the law under which even if an accused is medically declared mentally unstable, the custodians, parents, guardians or caretakers of that person will also face criminal charges.

He further said that under the law, there will be no bail for at least ten years and in serious cases, punishment can extend to life imprisonment. CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the legislation was drafted after extensive consultations with legal experts to ensure that no future loophole or amendment weakens it.

“The Almighty blessed us with the wisdom and strength to bring this law. We drafted it carefully so that nobody can weaken it in future,” he added.

Targeting the Akali leadership, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the Badal family would never support such a law because their own names were linked to beadbi incidents. He said that people supported them believing they carried forward Baba Nanak’s legacy, but during their tenure Baba Nanak’s Bani was insulted on the streets. “They ordered water cannons and bullets on peacefully protesting devotees. What else can be expected from such people? Ever since this law has been passed, not a single Akali Dal leader is visible in Punjab because they fear that their names may surface,” CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said.

The Chief Minister said that dishonest people can never continue receiving the blessings of the Almighty forever. Referring to past political claims by Akali leaders, he said that those who once boasted of ruling Punjab for 25 years are today struggling to even find 25 candidates to contest elections because people have politically rejected them.

Earlier, while addressing the gathering at Balachaur, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said that it gives him immense happiness to witness massive public participation in the yatra wherever it is reaching. He said that the Punjab Government is honestly fulfilling every responsibility entrusted to it by the people in 2022 and delivering on every promise made to the public.

Highlighting the Punjab Government’s achievements, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said that Aam Aadmi Clinics have been opened across Punjab providing free treatment to people, government schools are being transformed, 90% households are receiving free electricity, sewer systems are being upgraded, hospitals have been modernised and every family in Punjab can avail free treatment up to ₹10 lakh under the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna.

He further said that farmers are receiving free daytime electricity, nearly 14,000 kilometres of pipelines have been laid and canals revived to ensure that Punjab’s water reaches every field.

Again attacking the Akalis, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said that they were never sincere about enacting such a law when they were in power because their intentions were politically motivated. He said that beadbi incidents were allowed to happen for political gains and despite admitting mistakes before Akal Takht Sahib, they later denied them publicly. “Those who can lie before the Sri Akal Takht Sahib can never remain loyal to anyone. People of Punjab must remain cautious of such leaders,” CM Bhagwant Singh Mann warned.

Viral Video: Man Visits Married Girlfriend in Begusarai, Locals Teach Him Lesson of Life

Viral- Video

A viral video from Bihar’s Begusarai has stirred intense reactions online, bringing a private relationship into the harsh glare of public judgment. The incident has not only shocked viewers but also triggered debates around morality, privacy, and societal boundaries.

What Happened?

Viral Video: According to reports, a man had gone to meet his married girlfriend in Begusarai. However, locals caught him during the visit, leading to a tense situation. The crowd confronted him, called the police, and recorded the entire episode on video. The clip was later shared online, quickly going viral and drawing widespread attention. What began as a private meeting soon turned into a public spectacle, with the man facing humiliation in front of a crowd.

When Private Relationships Turn Public Spectacles

Incidents like this raise serious questions about where society draws the line between personal choices and public intervention. While extramarital affairs are often viewed critically, the act of publicly shaming individuals and turning such moments into viral content reflects a growing trend of digital vigilantism. The involvement of bystanders, recording and sharing the video, further complicates the issue by amplifying the situation far beyond the immediate context.

People’s Opinions

Viral Video: Social media users have expressed mixed reactions to the incident. Some people supported the locals, arguing that such actions act as a deterrent against unethical behavior and uphold social values. Others, however, criticized the crowd for taking matters into their own hands, stating that public humiliation and viral exposure violate individual privacy and dignity.

Indian Economy: India Surpasses Expectations, Outshines Major Emerging Market Peers! Moody’s Hail Strong Macroeconomic Fundamentals

Indian Economy

Indian Economy: In a recent report, Moody’s have remarked that the Indian economy is well-positioned to manage global future shocks as the country’s monetary policy frameworks are predictable and clear. It was also commented that India’s inflation expectations are well-anchored and the country’s exchange rates are easily adjustable when required.

Indian Economy Outperform Expectations

Moody’s commented that India has been one of the top resilient large emerging market economies since 2020 and the trend is not likely to go down anytime soon. It also commented that the massive forex reserves of the country have helped it easily counter currency volatility while reinforcing market and investor confidence during times of global uncertainties.

Moody’s was focusing on large emerging market economies like India, Indonesia, Mexico, South Africa, Nigeria, Turkiye, Malaysia, Thailand, Brazil and Argentina.

Moody’s highlighted India’s strong macroeconomic fundamentals as a key driver behind its sustained growth momentum. India appears to be leveraging a unique combination of policy discipline, domestic demand and institutional stability to outperform expectations while several economies finding it difficult to cope up with structural weaknesses and external shocks.

How Has India Stayed Shock-Proof Against Global Challenges?

India’s consistent GDP growth trajectory has remained comparatively strong even during times of global slowdowns. Unlike many export-dependent economies, India benefits from a large domestic consumption base that acts as a cushion against external demand shocks.

Equally significant is the country’s prudent monetary and fiscal framework. Inflation, while occasionally elevated, has largely been kept within a manageable range through calibrated interventions by the central bank. Fiscal consolidation efforts, though gradual, signal a commitment to long-term sustainability rather than short-term populism.

Foreign exchange reserves remain substantial, providing a buffer against currency volatility and external financing pressures. The independence and responsiveness of India’s monetary authority, coupled with a transparent regulatory environment, have enhanced policy transmission and investor trust.

Most people start their day on autopilot. Alarm rings, eyes open and within seconds you are already sitting up, reaching for your phone, and rushing into routine life. But what if this normal morning habit is quietly putting stress on your heart?

In a video shared on YouTube, cardiologist Dr Richard Collins explained something that sounds surprising at first. According to him, the first 30 seconds after waking may be one of the most vulnerable moments for your body. Not exercise, not stress, not even late-night strain—but the very start of your day. During this short window, certain actions may increase the risk of a heart attack without you even realising it.

Heart Attack Risk: Why The First Minutes After Waking Matter

Doctors explain that when you wake up, your body does not switch on smoothly. It shifts suddenly from rest to activity. Your heart rate rises, blood pressure increases and stress hormones like cortisol surge. At the same time, your blood is slightly thicker due to hours of sleep and mild dehydration.

Now imagine adding sudden movement on top of this natural shift. Even standing up too quickly can cause a rapid drop in blood flow to the brain, forcing the heart to compensate instantly. For most people, this only causes brief dizziness. But for some, especially those with hidden risk factors, it can add strain on the heart.

A case shared in a medical discussion highlights a man named Khalid, who experienced severe distress shortly after waking. He had no major illness, exercised regularly and appeared healthy. Yet doctors later pointed out that his morning habit of jumping out of bed quickly may have contributed to a sudden cardiac event.

Heart Attack Risk Hidden In Your Morning Routine

What makes this situation more concerning is that millions of people follow the same pattern every day without thinking:

  • Waking up and immediately sitting or standing
  • Grabbing the phone within seconds
  • Flooding the brain with messages and notifications
  • Skipping hydration first thing in the morning

Doctors warn that these actions stack multiple stress signals at once. This sudden shift from deep rest to high stimulation can quietly increase strain on the cardiovascular system over time.

In rare cases, this buildup may contribute to a heart attack, especially when combined with other risk factors like dehydration, poor sleep, or underlying artery issues.

A Simple Habit That May Reduce Morning Strain

Cardiologists suggest a small change called the “60-second buffer.” The idea is simple but powerful:

  1. Stay still for a few seconds after waking
  2. Sit up slowly instead of jumping out of bed
  3. Pause again before standing
  4. Drink water before checking your phone

This short pause allows the heart and circulation to adjust gradually instead of facing a sudden shock.

The most dangerous habits are often the ones that feel completely normal. Morning routines rarely feel risky, yet they may quietly influence heart health over time. Experts stress that awareness of these small moments could help reduce unnecessary strain and lower long-term risk.

Viral Video: ‘4-5 Body Count Acceptable…’ Girl Normalises Casual Flings, Netizens School

Viral- Video
Google

A viral video has been making rounds on social media of a young woman casually saying that a “4-5 body count” is fine with modern dating. The comment quickly garnered attention, sparking a flurry of heated responses and becoming a trending topic within hours.

What was probably a personal opinion shared in a casual setting quickly turned into a larger cultural conversation, with people on both sides of the issue weighing in across platforms.

Why it Spread so Quickly

Unsurprisingly, the video is going viral. It’s a topic that gets people talking, especially when it involves relationships, personal values, and changing social standards. Short-form video platforms amplify the effect by pushing out controversial clips and broadening their reach as people react, comment, and share.

Such clips often go viral not because they are profound but because they are easy to evoke emotion, whether it is agreement, shock or criticism.

Split Among Netizens

Reaction has been sharply divided. Others defended the woman, saying that personal choices in relationships should be private and not open to criticism. They see it as part of a broader shift toward openness and personal freedom.

But a large part of netizens slammed the statement, saying it oversimplifies relationships and promotes a casual approach that might ignore emotional consequences. Some also worried about the effect of such content on younger audiences.

A Reflection of Changing Times

This viral moment is part of a shift in how we view relationships today. With dating apps and lifestyle changes, attitudes towards commitment and casual dating have changed drastically.

Traditional views are still very much alive, and in the public domain, when these issues arise, there is bound to be a conflict of opinion. Viral videos like this tend to pit these opposing views against each other.

Fatty Liver Symptoms: Delhi Doctor Warns 61% Urban Indians Facing Silent Liver Damage, Shares 5 Crucial Early Clues

Fatty liver is becoming one of the most overlooked health issues in urban India today. A Delhi-based doctor has raised concern after revealing that nearly 61% of adults in cities may already be suffering from non-alcoholic fatty liver disease without even knowing it. The biggest danger is that it often develops silently, showing almost no clear warning signs in the beginning.

Dr Saleem Zaidi, in a video on his YouTube channel Healthy Hamesha, explained that the disease is far more common than people assume. He highlighted that most individuals only discover the condition when it has already progressed. In severe cases, it can lead to liver cirrhosis, where liver tissue becomes permanently damaged.

He also explained that fatty liver happens when fat accumulation in the liver crosses 10% of its total weight. There are two types: non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, linked to lifestyle factors and alcoholic fatty liver disease, caused by excessive alcohol intake. The non-alcoholic form is more widespread due to rising obesity, poor diet, diabetes and insulin resistance.

According to the doctor, FL does not develop overnight. It slowly builds up in the body while remaining unnoticed, which makes early awareness extremely important.

5 Early Warning Signs Of Fatty Liver

Dr Zaidi shared five key symptoms that may indicate fatty liver at an early stage:

  1. Constant fatigue and weakness
Even after proper sleep, people feel tired, low on energy and mentally unfocused. This happens because the liver fails to convert nutrients into usable energy efficiently.
  2. Discomfort on the right side of the abdomen
A dull heaviness or pressure under the right ribs may appear, especially after oily meals. This is where the liver is located.
  3. Poor digestion and bloating
Frequent acidity, gas, bloating, or constipation can signal reduced bile function, which affects fat digestion.
  4. Increasing belly fat
Fatty liver is strongly linked with central obesity. A growing waistline, even in otherwise normal-weight individuals, is a major warning sign.
  5. No symptoms in early stages
In many cases, FL shows no visible signs at all, making it even more dangerous if ignored.

Why Early Detection Matters

The doctor stressed that fatty liver should never be ignored. Routine tests like SGOT, SGPT, cholesterol, triglycerides and fasting sugar can help detect problems early. These tests are simple but crucial for prevention.

He added that this is not a condition that “shouts” for attention. Instead, it develops quietly over time. This is why awareness is the strongest tool for prevention.

Lifestyle changes such as a balanced diet, regular exercise, weight control, and reduced sugar intake can significantly reduce the risk. Early action can prevent long-term damage and serious complications.
