Shark Tank India 5 is bringing both inspiring brand stories and controversies since its premiere. While some entrepreneurs have walked away with big deals, others have left the Tank empty-handed. The latest pitch has triggered strong buzz online after a founder claimed his rehabilitation device could help paralysis patients walk again within just two months, leaving the Sharks curious and sceptical.

Shark Tank India 5 Pitcher Stuns Sharks

In a new promo shared by the makers, the Sharks meet a pitcher who enters the Tank to present his brand, StepX. From the opening line, the pitch hints at a high-impact moment this season. Speaking confidently, the founder tells the panel, “Humne develop kiya hai ek rehabilitation device jisse spinal cord injury aur cerebral palsy patients ki paralysis treat ho sakti hai.”

The claim instantly grabs attention. Namita Thapar asks, “Isme kitna time lagta hai?”

The response shocks everyone in the room. The pitcher says, “Five minutes. Dedh -Do mahine baad yeh bachcha khud apne ghar mein bicycle chala raha tha.”

Although the promo does not show the full discussion, the Sharks’ reactions suggest a mix of interest and doubt. Since spinal cord injury and cerebral palsy are serious medical conditions, such claims naturally invite close questioning. Viewers can expect detailed scrutiny when the episode airs.

Another Pitch, Another Big Valuation Debate

The same promo also features another group of entrepreneurs pitching their hair and beauty brand. Stressing their experience, the founders say, “Hamara saat saal ka industry experience, toh investors ask karna sirf chalis crore thoda ajeeb lagta hai, given the factors.” Their valuation quickly becomes a talking point.

One of the Sharks steers the discussion towards revenue and logic, asking, “Aapka first year ka revenue hi hoga teen crore. Agar aapko lagta hai ki is business mein value hai, woh kya hai?”

Watch the promo below!

MP News: Cop Recreates Amitabh Bachchan’s Reel Role in Reality, Cook-Driver Becomes Witness in 106 Crimes, Check

MP News

MP News: An investigation in police records in Mauganj has revealed that drivers, vegetable vendors, cooks and even a physically disabled man were repeatedly used by the then Station House Officer Jagdish Singh Thakur in more than 100 cases.

Madhya Pradesh police’s own Crime and Criminal Tracking and Network System (CCTNS) revealed that Amit Kushwaha, the personal driver of Thakur, and Dinesh Kushwaha, a vegetable vendor who cooked at the Mauganj police station, were listed jointly as informants or witnesses in 106 cases. In 18 cases, Amit was mentioned as the sole listed witness.

NDTV reported that these cases included offences associated with illegal liquor, arms and cannabis. It was indicated by police records that the name of Amit Kushwaha appeared as a case witness wherever Jagdish was posted.

MP News-The Interesting Joke

In 2020, the age of Amit was recorded as 20 years. Interestingly, his age was recorded as only 21 five years later. When confronted, Dinesh said he testified only in a single case during the tenure of Jagdish and is not aware as to how his name popped up in so many FIRs.

In another turn of events, the CCTNS records suggested a similar pattern. A physically disabled resident, Arun Tiwari is listed as an informant and witness along with Amit in six cases. A robbery case was registered against Arun himself while he was out of town between May 17 and May 19.

Meanwhile, Ramakant Yadav – a cleaner at the Naigarhi police station – becomes a witness in 14 cases. Rahul Vishwakarma, who drives the vehicle of the police station, is a witness in 18 cases. Interestingly, both denied giving any testimony even once.

It is alleged that more than 500 cases were registered between 2022 and 2025 on such “pocket” or “fixed” witnesses.

The End of the Conspiracy

Kunjbihari Tiwari, a social activist, brought this interesting cop saga to the attention of senior officials. She remarked the witness goes with the police cop whenever he is transferred.

Jagdish Singh Thakur was removed from the Naigarhi police station after the issue came to light. Mauganj Superintendent of Police Dilip Kumar Soni removed him and handed the matter to the Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDOP) for investigation.

Toxic Teaser Row: ‘Same Happened With Triptii Dimri…’ Netizens Question Gendered Backlash As Beatriz Taufenbach Deletes Her Instagram, Compare It To Animal

Toxic Teaser Row - Netizens Comapre Beatriz Taufenbach Facing Backlash to Triptii Dimri in Animal

Toxic Teaser: The teaser of Yash’s upcoming film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups landed in controversy soon after its release. While the film was expected to set the mood for a dark and intense story, one scene has instead triggered strong backlash online. The teaser shows a graphic intimate moment between Yash and a woman inside a car near a cemetery, a visual many viewers have found disturbing and unnecessary.

As criticism grew, attention quickly shifted to the woman seen in the scene. She has now been identified as Brazilian model and actor Beatriz Taufenbach. Soon after the backlash picked up pace, fans noticed that Beatriz’s Instagram account was no longer accessible. When users searched for her profile, it showed the message – “Profile isn’t available.”

Who Is The Woman Seen Opposite Yash In Toxic Teaser

After the teaser dropped, there was confusion about the woman’s identity. Several early reports incorrectly claimed that the actor was Natalie Burn. However, director Geetu Mohandas later clarified the matter on Instagram. Sharing Beatriz’s photo, she wrote, “This beauty is my cemetery girl Beatriz Taufenbach.”

Despite this clarification, the focus of online criticism did not shift to the makers or the content of the teaser. Instead, Beatriz became the main target of trolling. Many social media users began questioning why the backlash appeared to be directed almost entirely at her.

Netizens Call Out Gendered Backlash

As Beatriz faced heavy online criticism and slut-shaming, several users questioned why Yash remained largely unaffected. Many pointed out that this is a repeated pattern in Indian cinema, where women are targeted for intimate scenes while male actors walk away without consequences.

Read some online user comments below:

“Wonder if the male actor would ever face consequences for such backlash?”

“This is honestly disturbing. The male star stays untouched, the makers intellectualise it as female gaze, and the woman takes the hit through trolling and slut-shaming. Criticise the teaser if you want, but the gendered backlash exposes the real hypocrisy.”

“So again a woman was slut shamed for a sex scene in which the man was an equal partner. Great. Just great. And I cannot believe a woman directed that scene, it was such a vulgar scene. There have been so many intimate scenes in movies and there is a way where you can be respectful about a woman in those scenes. This was not it.”

“Not only that, but as makers of the movie, they don’t even care to come out in defence of this girl, their male superstar is fine, all the harassment for a product they made is directed at her and that’s all that matters to them.”

“But then why didn’t the rockstar Yash receive backlash for it? Both of them were in the scene right?? Yet the woman was trolled. And the man? Oh well, he is such a star. Same happened with Tripti Dimri in animal. Both Ranbir nd Tripti did the scene, but only she was hated. Called bhabhi 2 and whatnot, and to the people who reacted negatively to this woman and bullied her and slut shamed her, shame on you.”

“Saw that coming, all the negative slut shaming jokes were mainly targeted towards her while Yash got a free pass .”

“LOL, a film cannot even defend its actress against cyberbullying, and they want to clash with a mega monster wave like Dhurandhar 2.”

“Of course, once again, it’s only the female who gets shamed.”

What CBFC Said About Toxic Teaser

The teaser also drew the attention of regulatory bodies. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Women’s Wing and the Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights filed complaints, calling the content “obscene” and “sexually explicit.”

However, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) clarified that it has no authority over the teaser. Officials stated that the video was released only on digital platforms like YouTube, and certification is required only for films and trailers meant for theatrical release. Sources added that the makers have not yet submitted the film or its promotional material for certification.

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is scheduled to release in theatres on March 19, 2026. Along with Yash, the film also stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth.

High Salt, Sugar And Fat After 40 Can Trigger Dementia And High Blood Pressure – AIIMS Doctor Shares Tips To Protect Yourself!

Why Diet matters for Dementia and High Blood Pressure

Dementia And High Blood Pressure: Are you over 40 and worried about memory loss or rising blood pressure? You’re not alone. Many people in this age group begin to pay more attention to their health. But did you know that what you eat every day can make a big difference to your brain and heart health? Recent advice from an AIIMS doctor might change how you view your diet after 40.

Why Diet Matters For Dementia And High Blood Pressure

In a recent Instagram video, AIIMS doctor Priyanka Sehrawat explained that diet plays a key role in reducing the risk of many conditions, including dementia and high blood pressure. According to her, people aged 40 and above must make smart food choices to stay healthy into later life.

She pointed out that many common foods today are high in fat, salt, and sugar (often called HFSS foods). These include fried snacks, sugary drinks, cakes, processed meats and many fast-food items. Dr Sehrawat said these foods can harm your body over time, especially if eaten regularly.

To be specific, she explained:

High salt means eating more than 5 grams of salt per day. Too much salt can raise your blood pressure.

High sugar means consuming more than 25 grams of sugar per day. Excess sugar affects your blood vessels and brain health.

High fat refers to eating more than 30 grams of fat daily. Saturated fat should be under 10 grams per day.

By keeping these limits in mind, you can support healthier blood pressure levels and protect your brain.

Simple Changes To Improve Long-Term Health

Beyond salt, sugar and fat, overall diet quality matters. As per the World Health Organisation, a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins and healthy fats can lower the risk of not only high blood pressure but also diabetes and heart disease. Regular exercise, enough sleep and managing stress also help keep your body and mind strong.

Avoiding processed and junk foods is one of the easiest steps you can take. These foods are often high in HFSS elements and low in nutrition. Instead, choose fresh foods that fuel your body without adding extra risk.

Cutting down on salt can be as simple as cooking more meals at home. Reducing sugary drinks and sweets can help keep your energy balanced. And choosing healthier fats (like those in nuts, seeds, olive oil and fish) can support your heart and brain.

As we age, our body becomes more sensitive to what we eat. Eating too much salt, sugar or fat can hurt your blood pressure and increase the risk of dementia and other serious conditions. You can take control by making small changes in your diet that can lead to big improvements in long-term health.

Stay informed, choose fresh foods and make healthy eating a part of your life after 40. Your brain and heart will thank you for it.

Bhagwant Mann Government Intensifies Anti-Drug Drive in Punjab

According to official data shared by Punjab Police, coordinated raids were conducted at 228 locations across the state, reflecting the government’s zero-tolerance approach towards narcotics. With these arrests, the total number of drug smugglers apprehended in 318 days has risen to 44,312, highlighting the scale and consistency of the ongoing operation.

68 Smugglers Arrested on Day 318

Alongside strict enforcement, the Bhagwant Mann government is also focusing on rehabilitation and recovery. On the same day, 31 individuals were motivated to undergo de-addiction and rehabilitation treatment, reinforcing the state’s twin strategy of law enforcement and social reform. Officials said the aim is not only to dismantle drug supply chains but also to help affected individuals return to a healthy and productive life.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has repeatedly stated that Punjab’s peace, youth, and future will not be compromised at any cost. The anti-drug campaign, led by Punjab Police and the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), is being monitored closely at the highest levels to ensure accountability and results.

Senior police officials noted that intelligence-led operations, technological surveillance, and inter-district coordination have strengthened the effectiveness of the drive. The campaign has also encouraged public cooperation, with citizens increasingly coming forward to share information related to drug peddling.

Under the vision of a #NashaMuktPunjab, the Mann government continues to combine strict action against smugglers with preventive measures, awareness, and rehabilitation. As the operation progresses, the state administration maintains that the fight against drugs will remain relentless until Punjab is freed from the menace completely.

8th Pay Commission: Salary Hike Expectations, Fitment Factor, and What May Change for Central Government Employees

8th Pay Commission

As 2026 begins, discussions around the 8th Pay Commission have gained strong momentum among central government employees and pensioners across India. With the 7th Pay Commission, implemented in 2016, nearing the end of its lifecycle, expectations of a fresh salary revision are now a key topic within employee unions, policy circles, and government salary discussions.

Pay Commissions are traditionally constituted every ten years to revise salaries, pensions, and allowances of central government employees. Although the Union Government has not yet issued an official notification regarding the 8th Pay Commission, growing economic pressures have made the demand increasingly prominent in national discourse.

Why the 8th Pay Commission Is Important in 2026

Over the last decade, rising inflation, higher housing costs, healthcare expenses, and changes in work environments have significantly impacted the financial well-being of government employees. While Dearness Allowance (DA) revisions help partially offset inflation, employee organizations argue that DA alone is insufficient to manage long-term cost-of-living pressures.

This has led to strong calls for a comprehensive salary restructuring through the 8th Pay Commission, making it a necessity rather than a policy choice.

Expected Timeline of the 8th Pay Commission

Based on previous Pay Commission patterns, the likely process includes:

  • Formation of the Pay Commission before the end of the current pay cycle
  • Submission of recommendations within 18–24 months
  • Final approval by the Union Cabinet
  • Implementation following approval, with possible arrears from the notified date

If the established timeline is followed, salary revisions under the 8th Pay Commission could come into effect in the latter part of this decade.

Fitment Factor and Salary Hike Expectations

The fitment factor is among the most closely watched components of any Pay Commission. It determines how existing basic pay is multiplied to arrive at the revised pay structure. Under the 7th Pay Commission, the fitment factor was set at 2.57, resulting in a substantial increase in basic salaries.

For the 8th Pay Commission, employee unions are reportedly demanding a higher fitment factor to reflect inflation and real income erosion over the past ten years. While no official figures have been confirmed, expectations range from moderate to significant increases, depending on fiscal feasibility and economic conditions.

Possible Changes in Allowances and Pensions

In addition to salary hikes, the 8th Pay Commission is expected to review:

  • House Rent Allowance (HRA)
  • Travel and transport allowances
  • Medical benefits and pension calculations
  • Pay parity across departments and cadres

Pensioners are also closely tracking developments, as any revision is likely to impact pension amounts and related benefits.

What Central Government Employees Can Expect

While official confirmation is still awaited, the growing discussions indicate that the government may soon take steps toward constituting the 8th Pay Commission. For millions of employees and retirees, the proposed pay revision represents not just a salary hike but financial stability amid rising living costs.

Until a formal announcement is made, employees are advised to rely on verified updates and government notifications rather than speculation. However, the 8th Pay Commission has clearly emerged as one of the most significant policy expectations for central government staff in 2026 and beyond.

Anders Antonsen

Anders Antonsen: Anders Antonsen, the current world’s no. 2 in the men’s singles and four-time World Championship medallist, has withdrawn from the India Open 2026 citing severe pollution in Delhi.

This marks Antonsen’s third consecutive absence from the prestigious Super 750 event.

Talking to social media, Antonsen shared a picture of the Air Quality Index of Delhi that has been hovering in the “severe” and “very poor” categories. The Danish star said the capital city is not a fit environment for professional badminton events.

Anders Antonsen-Fine Ahead

The Badminton World Federation (BWF) regulations mandate that all the top 15 players should confirm their participation in Super 750 events or face financial penalties. Antonsen risks being fined USD 5,000 once again. The Danish badminton player said he is crossing fingers for the summer when the World Championship happens in Delhi.

A few days back, Mia Blichfeldt also voiced criticisms after a match at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium. Mia praised the arena’s scale but said the weather conditions were unprofessional and unhealthy, citing the presence of birds inside the hall and a lack of cleanliness.

The Journey of Antonsen

The 27-year-old Danish dynamo is globally renowned for his tactical brilliance, unrelenting grit and explosive power. Born on 27 April 1997 in Aarhus, Antonsen has made a name for himself in the world badminton circuits because of his blistering smashes, iron defence and deceptive drops, which make him a nightmare for elites like Viktor Axelsen and Shi Yuqi.

The journey of Antonsen ignited with the 2015 European Junior Championships gold, signalling Denmark’s next superstar. By 2016, Antonsen swept three International Series titles: Swedish Masters, Austrian Open and Spanish International. His national dominance soon followed when he clinched Danish Championships from 2017-2019. The Super Series explosion of Antonsen came at the 2019 Indonesia Masters when he dethroned World No. 1 Kento Momota 21-16, 14-21, 21-16 in the final.

From Punjab Gullies to Global Glory

Born in Moga in Punjab, Kaur rose from dusty gullies where she honed her street-smart batting amid limited facilities. She rejected a stable railway job to chase her cricketing dreams. Kaur rose to nationwide prominence after she scored 103 runs off 36 balls in the 2017 World Cup semi-final vs Australia.

Greatest Punjab-Born Batter?

Kaur’s stats dazzle: most WPL fifties (10), overtaking Nat Sciver-Brunt and Meg Lanning (9 each). Internationally, she’s the T20I centurion queen of India with explosive power-hitting. Compared to Punjab peers like Punam Raut or Harleen Deol, Kaur’s leadership and clutch performances shine brightest.

Is Harmanpreet Kaur the GOAT Indian women’s top batter from the heartland of Punjab? While Smriti Mandhana boasts elegance, the raw power, milestones and captaincy steel tilt the scale in her favour. The daughter of Punjab is not just greatest from the gullies of Punjab but also the one who has redefined women’s cricket globally.
