Bhagwant Mann Govt’s Punjab Trade Commission Rollout Begins: Meetings Held in 10 Districts to Streamline Traders’ Work

Harpal Singh Cheema

The Bhagwant Mann Government has announced the formation of a Punjab Trade Commission in a significant step aimed at strengthening the state’s trading community and simplifying business operations for small traders, shopkeepers and entrepreneurs. Punjab Finance, Excise & Taxation, and Planning Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to making governance more accessible and responsive to those who drive Punjab’s economy.

Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said, “The key objective of the Commission is to ensure that traders no longer have to run pillar to post for routine approvals, departmental clearances and day-to-day business-related work. For years, small traders and shopkeepers have been forced to waste valuable time moving between multiple offices even for minor issues. This must change, and this government is determined to change it.”

ThePunjabMinister stated, “The Punjab Trade Commission will act as a dedicated platform to save the time, effort and money of the trading community. It will provide a faster and smoother resolution mechanism for their issues, with a structured system, clear accountability and time-bound solutions so that problems are not left hanging indefinitely.”

As part of the groundwork for the initiative, review meetings were held in Faridkot, Fatehgarh Sahib, Ludhiana, Moga, Malerkotla, Patiala, Roopnagar, Sangrur, Barnala and Bathinda. In these meetings, government representatives, local administration and concerned teams discussed the operational roadmap and district-level coordination with local shopkeepers, small business owners and traders to ensure effective implementation of the Commission.

Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said, “Traders and small businesses are the backbone of the state’s economy. Our government is fully committed to building a Punjab where honest business people can focus on expanding their work instead of getting stuck in paperwork, delays and unnecessary harassment.”

The Minister reiterated, “The Punjab Trade Commission will be formed with the spirit of public service, transparency and ease of doing business. Under one platform, traders will receive support, guidance and quick solutions, ensuring that governance works for them, not against them.”

Bhagwant Mann Government Launches New VDC App in Punjab: Arvind Kejriwal Says Identity of Informers Will Remain Confidential

Bhagwant mann: Punjab has taken a decisive technological leap in its war against drugs. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the state government has launched a dedicated mobile application for Village Defence Committees to strengthen grassroots action against drug trafficking.

The move is part of the broader “Nasha Mukti Yatra” campaign and aims to empower citizens with a secure and confidential platform to report drug-related activities in their areas. With technology now directly in the hands of communities, the government is reinforcing its zero-tolerance stance on narcotics.

Tech-Driven Vigilance at the Grassroots Level

The newly launched Village Defence Committee application allows members to share real-time tips about suspected drug peddlers directly with authorities. The system is designed to speed up intelligence flow while maintaining strict confidentiality.

According to Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal, the identity of informers will remain completely confidential, ensuring that citizens can report information without fear. This assurance is expected to boost public participation in the anti-drug mission.

More than 33,000 tips have already been received through earlier coordination mechanisms, showing strong community support for the campaign.

Strengthening the Nasha Mukti Yatra Mission

The app complements ongoing district-level meetings involving sarpanches, ward members, and police officials. It ensures seamless coordination between citizens and law enforcement agencies.

This initiative reflects Bhagwant Mann’s broader governance model that combines technology with accountability. From transport monitoring apps to women’s safety tools, the Punjab government has consistently adopted digital solutions to improve transparency and service delivery.

With the launch of the Village Defence Committee application, the Mann government signals that the fight against drugs is not just administrative — it is a collective movement powered by community trust and secure digital infrastructure.

Historic Moga Rally begins second phase of Punjab’s ‘Yudh Nashean Virudh’; opposition unnerved as their ‘political shops’ face closure: Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal

Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab Chief Spokesperson and MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal on Tuesday declared the massive gathering in Moga for the oath-taking of Village Defence Committee (VDC) members as a historic moment and a decisive milestone in Punjab’s ongoing fight against drugs. He said the overwhelming participation reflected a new wave of public resolve to free the state from the menace of narcotics.

Addressing a press conference, AAP Punjab Chief Spokesperson Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said the Punjab Government led by CM Bhagwant Singh Mann launched the ‘Yudh Nashean Virudh’ campaign in March last year and that it has delivered strong results across the state. “Big smugglers were arrested and sent to jail, cases were registered, and action was taken against drug networks. Along with enforcement, the government also carried out awareness drives in thousands of villages,” he said.

Highlighting the structural measures taken under the campaign, the AAP Punjab Chief Spokesperson stated that one of the most significant steps was the formation of 10-member Village Defence Committees in every village, city and ward. “These committees have played a crucial role by mobilising people against drugs and by sharing credible information with Punjab Police and the district administration about those involved in drug peddling,” he added.

Calling the movement a collective responsibility, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal noted, “This fight cannot be won by police alone, nor by the administration alone, nor by people alone. It is a three-front battle. VDCs, Punjab Police and administrative officers are fighting together to eliminate drugs from Punjab.”

Describing the Moga programme as the beginning of the second phase of the anti-drug campaign, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said the participation of thousands of VDC members clearly showed that people have risen against drugs. “When people rise, drugs can be eliminated. Yesterday’s gathering was not an AAP rally; it was a VDC gathering, which is why the Chief Secretary and DGP addressed it,” he said.

The AAP MLA pointed out that opposition leaders are unsettled after witnessing the scale of public mobilisation. “They are giving baseless statements because they know if drugs are eradicated, their political shops will be shut for good,” he said.

Challenging the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and the Congress, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal asked them to account for their record during their years in power. “During ten years of Akali rule and five years of Congress rule, what action did they take against drug smugglers? Did they ever run such a campaign, demolish smugglers’ properties, or send big smugglers to jail?” he asked.

Citing a recent example to underline the impact of the campaign, the AAP Punjab Chief Spokesperson noted a sarpanch was rewarded with ₹10 lakh after information shared by their VDC led to the recovery of 40 kg of heroin. He added that officers involved in key operations were also rewarded and that the government will continue recognising such efforts.

Congratulating all VDC members for their commitment, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal urged them to remain united and steadfast until drugs are completely eliminated from Punjab.

BMC Bans Dhurandhar Director Aditya Dhar’s Production House For THIS Reason, Toxic Actor Yash UPSET With Makers Of Ranveer Singh Starrer

Dhurandhar Director Aditya Dhar's Production house banned, Yash also upset with makers

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has permanently blacklisted Aditya Dhar’s production house, B62 Studios, after repeated safety and regulatory violations during the filming of Dhurandhar The Revenge (Dhurandhar 2) in South Mumbai.

The move has sparked conversations across the film industry about safety protocols, filming permissions, and professional conduct in Bollywood productions.

BMC Takes Strict Action Against B62 Studios

The BMC’s decision includes several penalties against the studio:

  • Permanent Blacklist: B62 Studios and individual applicants Komal Pokhriyal and Nasir Khan are barred from applying for filming permissions via the Maharashtra Film, Stage and Cultural Development Corporation portal.
  • Monetary Fines: A fine of Rs 1 lakh was imposed for unauthorised filming on a terrace and using generator vans without permission.
  • Security Deposit Forfeiture: The studio’s Rs 25,000 deposit has been seized.

The crackdown came after multiple violations in Mumbai’s heritage Fort area (A Ward). During a night shoot on February 14, the crew was caught using lit torches (mashals) even though they had promised to use VFX for fire effects. They also filmed on a terrace without approval and moved between locations irregularly.

This was not the first warning. Earlier incidents, including unauthorised drone usage on February 1, had already led to verbal and written notices and an FIR against the location manager.

While the blacklist is permanent, reports suggest a legal loophole may allow the production to continue if permissions are applied for through a different, non-blacklisted applicant.

Yash Also Upset Over Dhurandhar 2 Release

The ban comes amid a box-office clash. South superstar Yash is reportedly upset with Dhurandhar 2 makers for releasing their film on the same date as his Toxic, scheduled for March 19, 2026.

A source told Variety India, “Toxic was officially announced three years ago in December 2023. His fans have since been waiting to see him on screen. Yash doesn’t want to back off and disappoint his fans.”

Insiders added that Yash and his team were frustrated by the lack of communication. They believe a simple call could have avoided this clash. Despite the tension, Yash remains confident about Toxic and is firm on its release date.

While B62 Studios faces restrictions, the makers may still try alternative ways to continue filming. Meanwhile, the box-office face-off between Ranveer Singh‘s Dhurandhar 2 and Yash’s Toxic is already generating buzz. Everyone is eager to see how the films perform and whether the controversies affect their release.

From Ego to Intention: The Pause That Transforms Leadership

Pankaj Belwariar

In the fast-paced world of leadership, where decisions are often made under pressure and conversations can quickly escalate, the difference between reaction and response is profound. It is the difference between ego and intention, between defensiveness and transformation.

The First Emotion Is Rarely the Wisest

Every leader knows the familiar rush—the urge to correct, to defend, to react when challenged. Reaction is instinctive. It springs from ego, from the need to protect one’s authority or prove one’s point. Yet, as experience teaches us, the first emotion is rarely the wisest one.

The true strength of a leader lies not in the immediacy of their words, but in the pause they choose before speaking. That pause is not weakness; it is wisdom. It is the conscious act of shifting from ego to intention.

Defensive or Transformative?

Communication in leadership is never neutral. It either builds bridges or erects walls. A defensive dialogue, born of ego, closes doors and diminishes trust. A transformative dialogue, born of intention, opens possibilities and strengthens relationships.

When leaders pause, they create space for clarity, empathy, and purpose. They move beyond the impulse to win an argument and instead focus on elevating the conversation. This mindful engagement turns disagreement into dialogue, and dialogue into progress.

The Essence of Mindful Engagement

Mindful communication is not about silence—it is about presence. It is about listening deeply, choosing words deliberately, and aligning speech with values. Leaders who embody this practice inspire confidence because their communication is not reactive noise but intentional resonance.

Clarity ensures that the message is understood. Empathy ensures that the message is felt. Purpose ensures that the message is remembered.

Together, these qualities transform communication from a transactional exchange into a relational experience.

Leadership in the Age of Noise

In an era where voices compete for attention and reactions dominate digital spaces, the leader who pauses stands apart. Their restraint signals maturity. Their intention signals vision. Their words, chosen with care, carry weight far beyond the moment.

This is the essence of mindful leadership: the courage to resist ego, the discipline to embrace intention, and the wisdom to know that every conversation is an opportunity to build trust and inspire change.

Conclusion: Reaction is about ego. Response is about intention. And intention, expressed with clarity, empathy, and purpose, is the true language of leadership. The pause is not a delay—it is the bridge between conflict and connection, between defensiveness and transformation.

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Takes Action to Curb Gangster Activities and Strengthen Law Enforcement

Bhagwant-Mann

Bhagwant Mann: Punjab has been facing serious challenges due to rising gangster activities over the past few years. From extortion calls to targeted killings, such incidents have raised concerns among citizens. In response to this growing threat, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has stepped up efforts to tighten law enforcement and restore public confidence in the system

Crackdown on Gang Networks

The state government has directed the Punjab Police to intensify operations against gangster groups operating both within the state and from abroad. Many gang leaders who were allegedly running operations from foreign countries are now under tighter surveillance. Special task forces have been activated to track illegal activities, freeze financial assets, and arrest key operatives.

Strengthening Intelligence and Surveillance

One of the major steps taken by the government is strengthening intelligence gathering. Advanced technology and digital monitoring tools are being used to track communication channels often used by criminal gangs. The administration has also focused on better coordination between central agencies and state police forces to ensure that no criminal escapes due to jurisdictional gaps.

Strict Action Against Extortion and Drug Nexus

Gangster activities in Punjab are often linked to extortion and drug trafficking. The Mann government has emphasized a zero-tolerance policy toward such crimes. By targeting the financial backbone of these gangs, authorities aim to weaken their influence. Several properties linked to criminal elements have reportedly been identified for legal action.

Police Modernization and Recruitment

To further strengthen law enforcement, the Punjab government has accelerated police recruitment drives and modernization programs. More personnel, improved training, and better equipment are being provided to ensure quicker response times and effective crime control.

Restoring Public Confidence

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has repeatedly assured citizens that maintaining law and order is a top priority. Public safety, he stated, is non-negotiable. The government has also encouraged citizens to cooperate with law enforcement by reporting suspicious activities.

Manisha Rani’s Ice Bath Challenge In The 50

In The 50, contestants recently faced a demanding “Ice Bath” challenge. The task required participants to sit in a tub filled with freezing water for a duration they selected themselves.

Initially, Manisha appeared nervous and hesitant. However, she pushed through her fear and chose a time slot between two and three minutes. Showing remarkable mental strength, she remained in the icy water for the complete three minutes (reaching the maximum limit).

Her successful attempt brought major rewards:

  • She added Rs 1 lakh to the show’s money pot for her fans
  • She earned a special strategic power from the show’s host, “Lion”

With this power, Manisha gained the authority to decide which teams would compete in upcoming rounds, significantly impacting the game’s dynamics.

Despite the pressure of the challenge, Manisha kept her spirits high. During the task, she even joked about the identity of the mysterious host behind the lion mask, playfully guessing it could be Allu Arjun.

Meanwhile, Manisha’s bond with Pawan Singh has been mutual. She had previously supported him during his political candidacy and encouraged her followers to vote for him.

Although she admitted feeling nervous about competing against 49 contestants, Manisha declared – “Ek Bihari Sab Par Bhari.”

Record-Breaking Magh Mela 2026: Over 22 Crore Take Holy Dip at Prayagraj Sangam, Says CM Yogi Adityanath

CM-Yogi-Adityanath

The sacred sands of Prayagraj witnessed history as over 22 crore devotees took the holy dip at the Sangam during Magh Mela 2026. Announcing the milestone, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath described it as a testament to faith, discipline, and world-class governance.

Held from Paush Purnima on January 3 to Mahashivratri on February 15, the 44-day spiritual gathering surpassed previous attendance records, including the 2013 Kumbh’s 12 crore and the 2023 Magh Mela’s 9 crore footfall. Under Yogi Adityanath’s guidance, the Magh Mela has evolved into a globally admired spiritual congregation blending devotion with meticulous planning.

Faith Meets Flawless Administration

From the very first bathing day, the turnout signalled something extraordinary. Single-day peaks included nearly 1 crore devotees on Ekadashi, 2.2 crore on Maghi Purnima, and lakhs on the concluding Mahashivratri. By early February, participation had crossed 21 crore.

Such unprecedented numbers were managed with remarkable discipline. Expanded ghats stretching over 12,100 feet, parking facilities for more than one lakh vehicles, improved connectivity, and even bike taxi services ensured smooth access despite winter conditions.

The Chief Minister personally monitored preparations, directing Mahakumbh-level cleanliness, security, and crowd management — turning devotion into a seamless spiritual experience.

A Spiritual Renaissance Under Yogi’s Leadership

Magh Mela, once primarily associated with Kalpvasis, has now emerged as a grand spiritual movement drawing global attention. Enhanced infrastructure following Mahakumbh 2025 upgrades ensured international standards in sanitation, lighting, health services, and surveillance.

CM Yogi Adityanath governance model — blending spirituality with structured planning — showcased Uttar Pradesh’s ability to host one of the world’s largest peaceful gatherings. The atmosphere of devotion, unity, and cultural pride reflected a spiritual renaissance powered by visionary leadership.

Magh Mela 2026 will be remembered not just for its record-breaking numbers but falso or reaffirming India’s timeless faith tradition under strong administrative stewardship.

Tu Yaa Main Box Office Collection Day 4: Shanaya Kapoor-Adarsh Gourav’s Survival Thriller Struggles To Survive With 56% Monday Drop, Yet To Cross Rs 5 Cr Mark

Tu Yaa Main Box Office Collection Day 4: Tu Yaa Main is finding it tough going at the box office. The survival thriller starring Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav opened in cinemas on February 13. While the weekend showed a small rise, the film could not hold steady on Monday.

Early trade reports suggest the film witnessed a 56% drop on Day 4. The fall has sparked fresh discussion about the movie’s theatrical performance. Despite an unusual premise and genre appeal, audience turnout remains limited.

Tu Yaa Main Box Office Collection Day 4

Directed by Bejoy Nambiar, the film started its run on a slow note. On Day 1 (Friday), Tu Yaa Main collected Rs 0.6 crore. The opening reflected muted buzz and low footfall. However, Saturday brought some improvement. On Day 2, the film earned Rs 1.45 crore. The sharp jump was largely driven by weekend audiences and Valentine’s Day viewership. For a moment, the numbers hinted at possible momentum.

That optimism did not last long. On Day 3 (Sunday), collections slipped again. The film managed Rs 0.8 crore, indicating that the Saturday growth was not fully sustained. On Monday (Day 4), collections stood at just Rs 0.35 crore. The 56% decline highlights weak weekday stability.

After four days, the Tu Yaa Main Box Office Collection totals approximately Rs 3.2 crore (India net). Notably, the film is still below the Rs 5 crore mark.

Shahid Kapoor’s crime thriller O Romeo continues to attract viewers and dominate screens. At the same time, holdover releases like Mardaani 3 and Border 2 are still drawing audience interest. With multiple options available, smaller films often struggle to retain visibility.

A Monday drop is normal for most releases. Yet, the absolute figure here remains underwhelming. Films without major star power usually depend on strong word-of-mouth. So far, Tu Yaa Main has not seen a significant boost from audience chatter.

Some trade observers also mention the remake tag as a possible factor. Familiarity with the concept may have reduced urgency among certain viewers.

About the Film

Tu Yaa Main blends romance, survival, and thriller elements. The story follows two social media influencers from very different worlds.

Adarsh Gourav plays Maruti Kadam, also known as Aala Flowpara, a rapper from Nalasopara’s chawls. Shanaya Kapoor appears as Avani Shah, aka Miss Vanity, a glamorous and wealthy influencer.

Their professional collaboration slowly turns into romance. But the narrative takes a dramatic turn when the couple escapes to a remote coastal resort. A series of mishaps leaves them trapped inside a drained swimming pool — alongside a deadly crocodile.

The supporting cast includes Parul Gulati, Kshitee Jog, Shrikant Yadav, Ansh Chopra, and Rajendra Gupta.

Produced by Bhanushali Studios and Colour Yellow Productions, the film reportedly carries an estimated budget of Rs 20 crore. The runtime is approximately 2 hours and 25 minutes.

Rs 1K Crore Push: Aggressive Incentives Under GCC Policy 2024

Noida, Lucknow, Varanasi: Emerging Global Growth Engines

Under CM Yogi Adityanath leadership, Noida has already emerged as a tech and electronics manufacturing powerhouse. Lucknow is being positioned as a governance-tech and services hub, while Varanasi is expanding as a logistics and cultural-industrial center.

Improved law and order, expressway connectivity, industrial corridors, and policy stability have strengthened investor confidence. This post-Budget global tour reinforces UP’s readiness to compete with top Asian investment destinations.

Ek rais gharane ki Scorpio, jo speed aur stunt karne ke liye ghar se gaadi lekar nikli thi, bina licence. Us ladke ko gaadi chalani bhi nahin aati thi. Driver ne 3 February ko mere bachhe ko uda diya. Mere bachche ko uda diya, phir address badal diya.”

She added, “I request all media and people of Dwarka to come forward to help. Please, I request. Mothers, please save your children. Please guide your children and help me also. Please come forward.”

Makan insisted that this was not just an accident but a “criminal act.” She argued that performing stunts and filming videos on busy roads puts lives at risk. Her plea for strict punishment has resonated widely, with many expressing sympathy and concern.

Bhagwant Mann: Punjab is witnessing an education revolution under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, whose flagship Sikhya Kranti initiative is redefining government schooling. With a clear focus on youth formation and future-ready infrastructure, Mann has positioned Punjab as a pioneer in modern education reform.

From once-neglected campuses to vibrant learning hubs, the transformation is visible — and the latest example from Ghulal village has captured statewide attention.

Sikhya Kranti: Building the Future of Punjab’s Youth

The Sikhya Kranti mission aims to revamp nearly 20,000 government schools across Punjab. Thousands have already been upgraded with modern classrooms, improved sanitation, digital learning tools, and strengthened academic systems.

Under Mann’s leadership, education is no longer limited to textbooks — it is about nurturing confidence, skill development, and competitive readiness. By investing in infrastructure and teacher support, the government is creating equal opportunities for rural and urban students alike.

This bold vision reflects Mann’s commitment to empowering Punjab’s youth with quality education that matches global standards.

Ghulal Village School: From Neglect to Model Campus

The Government Primary School in Ghulal near Neelon stands as a shining symbol of this transformation. Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains recently shared a detailed video tour showcasing the school’s upgraded campus.

Once struggling with poor infrastructure, the school now boasts clean classrooms, modern facilities, and an inspiring learning environment. The video, shared on X (formerly Twitter), has drawn admiration from across the state, with neighbouring villages visiting to witness the change firsthand.

A Proven Model: From Masol to Ghulal

The success story is not isolated. Masol Government School, once infamous for its deteriorated condition, has also undergone a dramatic turnaround following direct intervention by the education department.

These examples highlight how Sikhya Kranti is not just about renovation — it is about rebuilding confidence in public education. Just minutes away from Chandigarh, rural schools are now competing with private institutions in quality and performance.

Bhagwant Mann’s forward-thinking education reforms are laying the foundation for a stronger, smarter, and more empowered Punjab.
