Ketan Agarwal: The Ketan Agarwal murder case inquiry has now become emotionally charged following the breaking of the silence of Siya Goyal’s parents. Showing grief over Ketan’s death, they said that if the case goes against their daughter in a court of law, justice needs to prevail over personal ties and their daughter must get the maximum punishment possible.
Parents Want Justice Done
Speaking to the press, the father of Siya Goyal said that “Ketan was like a son to our family,” and the whole incident was heartbreaking for him. He went further and said that if anyone is proven guilty, then he should get the maximum punishment, irrespective of whether it is his daughter or not. The same was said by the mother of Siya.
Investigation Underway
This case is under the investigation of the police department, which is looking at the witness statements, cyber evidence, telephone calls, CCTV footage, and forensic evidence. It has been asserted by the authorities that the inquiry is currently underway, and whatever the end result may be will depend on the findings of evidence collected and the court.
Emotional Reactions Across The Country
The family’s remarks have sparked widespread discussion on social media. Many have praised their call for justice despite the personal tragedy, while others have urged people to avoid drawing conclusions until the judicial process is complete. What Lies Ahead?
Ketan Agarwal: As the investigation progresses, the focus remains on establishing the facts through evidence and due process. The court will determine guilt or innocence based on the investigation, and the case is expected to remain under close public scrutiny in the coming weeks.
Ram Mandir Donation Row: The Ram Mandir Donation Scandal has witnessed a huge legal and political twist as an FIR has been lodged in relation to the allegations of financial irregularities involving donations for the construction of temples. The issue has gained a lot of political momentum in the state of Uttar Pradesh with opposition leaders calling for accountability as some religious organizations have also weighed in on the issue.
FIR Lodged In The Case
The case involves multiple accused, and it has been filed by one of the members of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust following the recommendation of Special Investigation Team (SIT). An FIR has been filed by Ayodhya Police based on the recommendation of SIT. Multiple sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) are involved in the case.
Political Responses Intensify
The issue has quickly turned out to be highly political in nature. Opposing political leaders have called into question the manner in which financial irregularities have been handled and have demanded strict action against guilty individuals.
Ayodhya Witnessing Tensions
The incident has not only raised a wave of reactions from the religious section of the community. After making statements from the political quarters, some religious organizations came out in protest against it, while others made a plea for carrying out the investigation in an apolitical manner. The whole scenario has created a tension-filled environment in Ayodhya.
Investigation is ongoing
The police and SIT are investigating the case through examination of the financial transactions and other relevant documents and statements.
What Lies Ahead?

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, a young batting prodigy, is in the limelight before India’s T20I series against Ireland. This time, the focus isn’t on his batting prowess but rather on an unconventional off-field situation. Sources indicate that the youngster will be using a separate dressing room for the series, and the reasons for such an arrangement have raised questions among cricket enthusiasts.
Why Will Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Use A Separate Dressing Room?
This unusual arrangement is due to age-related considerations. As the youngster Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is underage, there will be certain safety and welfare provisions needed to be taken care of during international tours. In order to abide by such rules, the youngster will be having separate dressing rooms instead of being in the common dressing room with the senior team.
Standard Procedure
There shouldn’t be any doubt that this is an act of favor. Cricket governing bodies have very stringent policies regarding safety and welfare measures for underage players who play in the senior ranks. Such arrangements are regularly made wherever necessary.
A Big Opportunity For The Young Star
Despite the unique dressing room setup, Vaibhav remains fully involved with the Indian squad during training sessions, team meetings, and match preparations. The Ireland series offers the youngster a valuable opportunity to learn from experienced international cricketers and gain exposure at the highest level.
Fans React To The News
The unusual arrangement quickly became a talking point on social media. While many fans were initially surprised, several welcomed the decision after learning that it was based on player welfare guidelines rather than cricketing reasons.
There will be a new political development that is likely to happen in West Bengal as the state government is preparing to bring forth the Uniform Civil Code Bill in the Assembly. Once passed, Bengal will join the other three states, like Uttarakhand, Gujarat, and Assam, to implement the UCC in their jurisdictions. This is likely to bring out heated political arguments throughout the state.
What Is the UCC Bill?
Uniform Civil Code involves the creation of a set of civil laws that govern issues relating to marriage, divorce, inheritance, and succession regardless of religion. Those who support this idea claim that UCC is important in fostering equality before the law, while opponents claim that the law raises issues of religious and cultural freedom.
Why Is Bengal in the spotlight?
The present BJP government has promised to introduce the UCC law in its election manifesto, and it is proceeding with the plan. With the majority in the assembly, the government is poised to table the bill in the current legislative session.
Opposition’s Response
Opposition leaders have strongly criticised the proposed legislation, saying they will oppose it in the Assembly. They argue that the UCC is a sensitive issue that requires wider public consultation and could affect the country’s religious diversity.
How Will Mamata Banerjee Pacify Her Voters?
The proposed UCC Bill has intensified the political atmosphere in West Bengal. Mamata Banerjee is expected to strongly oppose the move and reassure her supporters by reiterating her government’s commitment to protecting the state’s cultural diversity and constitutional values. Her response in the coming days could play a key role in shaping the political narrative ahead of future elections.
An earthquake in Venezuela, almost 14,000 km away from India, has sparked worries about global energy markets. Despite the faraway location of the quake, experts believe it may have an impact on crude oil transport in the coming weeks due to damage to ports and oil industry infrastructure.
Why Is This Important To India?
India is among the many countries that rely on the import of crude oil from overseas, with an increasing share being provided by Venezuela. If the country’s loading/unloading ports and export routes are disrupted, there can be delays in the transport of oil.
How Might The Earthquake Impact Oil Supplies?
It has been reported that outages of electricity, destruction of infrastructure, and emergency restrictions at ports could cause problems in cargo deliveries for days or even weeks. If oil exports remain disrupted, then the refining facilities worldwide, including India’s, could be negatively affected.
Will Prices Of Fuel Increase In India?
There is no certainty of an increase in prices. If the global production of crude oil becomes scarce or there is an increase in the price of crude oil due to disruption, Indian oil refineries might experience higher prices while importing crude oil. This would largely depend upon how soon Venezuela gets back on track in its exports.
Is India Capable Of Handling This Situation?
The good part about India’s dependence on crude oil imports is that it comes from a diversified range of sources including various countries from the Middle East, Africa, Americas, and Russia. Thus, the chances of any significant disruption from one country are low.
What Lies Ahead?
The coming days will be crucial as Venezuelan authorities continue rescue operations and assess damage to key infrastructure. If oil facilities and ports return to normal quickly, the impact on India’s energy supply chain is likely to remain limited. However, prolonged disruptions could create fresh volatility in global crude markets and shipping schedules.

Coming heavily on gang-related activities and hitting massively to their networks’ spine, the Bhagwant Mann Government’s sustained crackdown on organised crime through Punjab Police has yielded a huge success in 152 days of operation ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’ by recovering a massive cache of illegal weapons from the possession of gangsters’ accomplices across the state, dealing a significant blow to criminal networks.
Since the start of operation ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) has recovered a total of 713 illegal arms and as many as 218 magazines with a total of 2,009 rounds of ammunition in the total 152 days of the operation, across Punjab.
On this, Punjab Police DGP, Gaurav Yadav, “The gangsters heavily lure youngsters to carry their illegal works, and offering them illegal weapons is one of them. The Punjab Police has recovered a huge cache of ammunition from time to time, but the weapons recovered from the henchmen of gangsters led to stopping various crimes across the state. The police remain firmly committed to a zero-tolerance policy against illegal arms trafficking, cross-border smuggling, and organised crime.”
Meanwhile, these illegal weapons have been recovered during various search operations and drives launched by AGTF. Since the launch of ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’, as many as 92 illegal arms, ammunition and magazines were recovered from Amritsar Rural, while a total of 201 have been recovered in Amritsar city, 155 in Ferozepur and 243 in Tarn Taran (till April 30), depicting the amount of effort made by the police in curbing crime in these major districts.
Last month, the state police intensified their search for illegal weapons, which led to a huge recovery of weapons.
The DGP added, “The weapons recovered range from sophisticated arms to country-made pistols. The AGTF is performing great work in coordination with other departments, and in the coming days the crackdown on gangsters and their operations will continue across the state.”
Recently, in a major breakthrough, Amritsar Commissionerate Police busted a cross-border illegal arms smuggling module with the arrest of eight accused, carrying 11 sophisticated pistols and eight live cartridges.
Preliminary investigation reveals that the accused were in contact with persons involved in the supply of illegal weapons. The recovered arms were intended for distribution among criminal elements and for use in extortion, violent crimes and other unlawful activities. The Commissionerate Police Ludhiana CIA Staff team has also achieved a major success by arresting two persons in possession of illegal weapons.
Venezuela is grappling with the aftermath of two powerful earthquakes that struck the country, leaving at least 164 people dead and nearly 1,000 injured, according to government officials.
The twin quakes, measuring 7.2 and 7.5 in magnitude, hit within a short span of each other and are being described as among the strongest seismic events to affect the country in more than a century. The tremors triggered panic across several regions, causing extensive damage to buildings, roads, and public infrastructure.
Death Toll Rises After Powerful Earthquakes Devastate Venezuela
Authorities reported that at least 971 people sustained injuries, while rescue teams continue to search through damaged structures for survivors. Emergency response operations have been intensified in the worst-affected areas, where thousands of residents have been displaced.
The earthquakes also triggered landslides
La Guaira, a coastal state along the Caribbean Sea, suffered some of the heaviest destruction. Numerous residential and commercial buildings collapsed, prompting officials to declare parts of the region a disaster zone. Temporary shelters have been established to accommodate affected families.
The earthquakes also triggered landslides and disruptions to transportation networks, complicating rescue and relief efforts. Power outages and communication disruptions were reported in several locations following the disaster.
Government agencies, emergency services, and military personnel have been deployed to assist with rescue operations, distribute relief supplies, and restore essential services. Authorities have urged residents to remain alert due to the possibility of aftershocks.
Messages of solidarity and support have been received from several countries and international organizations as Venezuela continues to assess the scale of the destruction and humanitarian needs resulting from the disaster.
Officials warned that the casualty figure may rise further as search operations continue in affected regions and damage assessments are completed.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Thursday launched a blistering attack on the Congress, BJP and Akali Dal, saying the three parties have united against Punjab’s unprecedented progress because they cannot tolerate the overwhelming support being received by the AAP-led government. During a Lok Milni in Barnala, the Chief Minister said the traditional parties have lost their mental balance as they are unable to digest the state’s rapid development and have resorted to fake videos and false propaganda in the name of religion to defame him and mislead the people.
Listing a series of pro-people initiatives undertaken by the Punjab Government, the Chief Minister said his government remains focused on delivering development and public welfare despite repeated attempts to derail it. He announced that women across Punjab will begin receiving financial assistance under the Maavan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna from July 1, highlighted the launch of the country’s first project to shift high-tension power lines underground in villages, and asserted that no conspiracy or smear campaign would deter him from working for the people and safeguarding Punjab’s interests.
Addressing the Lok Milni, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said that his government has taken several historic decisions for the welfare of the common people and the progress of the state. “The traditional political parties, which never cared for the common people, are unable to digest these achievements. They are continuously spitting venom against the Punjab Government and me. They have no agenda for the people and their sole objective is to malign the government by making baseless statements.”
Making a major announcement, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said that after five days, from July 1, women across Punjab will begin receiving financial assistance under the Maavan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna. “Women beneficiaries above the age of 18 years will receive notifications on their mobile phones regarding the financial assistance. Every woman in Punjab will receive ₹1,000, while SC women will receive ₹1,500. The amount will be transferred directly into their bank accounts. Women who are already receiving social security pensions will also be eligible for the scheme.”
He said that nearly 97% of women in Punjab are expected to benefit from the scheme and the Punjab Government has allocated ₹9,300 crore in the Budget for its implementation.
Emphasising the broader social significance of the scheme, the Chief Minister said, “This financial assistance may not make women rich, but it will certainly give them dignity and self-respect. Women deserve the highest respect because they are the source of life itself. The blessings of mothers and sisters help overcome every challenge. Strengthening women’s financial autonomy is essential for improving household welfare, promoting gender equality, and increasing women’s participation in social and economic decision-making.”
Highlighting another major initiative, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the AAP Government has launched the country’s first ambitious project to place high-tension electricity lines underground, beginning with a pilot project in his native village. “This historic project will free villages from the web of overhead electricity wires and unnecessary poles. Electricity poles and overhead wires pose a constant threat of electrocution to people, animals, and especially children. Accidents frequently occur when tractors, combine harvesters, and other vehicles come into contact with these overhead wires.”
He further said, “Crop fires also cause heavy losses to farmers, while rain, storms, and strong winds damage poles and wires, resulting in power disruptions and financial losses to the power corporation. This project will provide permanent relief from all these problems and improve the quality of life in villages. Every single penny of the state exchequer is being utilised judiciously for the welfare of the people.”
The Chief Minister said that more than 90% of households in Punjab are receiving free electricity. “For the first time, farmers are receiving electricity during the daytime. While the Union Government is selling national assets to its blue-eyed friends at throwaway prices, our government has created history by purchasing a private thermal plant,” he added.
He also reiterated that his government has laid 14,000 kilometres of pipelines and watercourses across the state to ensure irrigation facilities reach farmers in every corner of Punjab. “Around 21,000 cusecs of water have been released through these pipelines and watercourses, which will immensely benefit farmers by meeting their irrigation requirements. Recharge points have been created in canals and rivers, resulting in an increase in groundwater levels by two to four metres,” he added.
Referring to the opposition parties, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Because of their own misdeeds, leaders of traditional political parties hesitate to visit the people, due to which their security has been increased. The Akali Dal has now become a party of sisters-in-law, with one sister-in-law serving as an MP and another as an MLA. Sukhbir Badal continues to remain in trauma after the 2022 electoral defeat.”
He further said, “When my opponents fail to challenge me politically, they try to defame me on religious grounds. Since I have become a nightmare for them, they have now chosen to target me on religious grounds. Every day they create fake videos and circulate them through social media.”
The Chief Minister asserted that such attempts would not deter him. “I will continue working for electricity, water, roads, village ponds, Aam Aadmi Clinics, hospitals, and employment opportunities,” he affirmed.
Referring to recent developments, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “They continuously try to defame me through one accusation after another. Now the SGPC (Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee) has ordered posters to be displayed outside gurdwaras calling for my boycott. But why were such posters not put up against the Akali Dal or Sukhbir Badal when they themselves admitted responsibility for incidents of beadbi?”
He added, “On December 2, before Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Sukhbir Badal acknowledged his mistakes, admitted wrongdoing, accepted responsibility for the firing incidents, and admitted that orders had been issued against the sangat. Did anyone put up boycott posters outside gurdwaras against them?”
The Chief Minister said that wherever he visits, people gather in huge numbers. “When I visit villages, community gatherings, and public meetings, massive crowds gather. The opposition cannot tolerate this because they themselves cannot attract such public support. Therefore, all three parties have joined hands with the sole objective of defaming me on religious grounds. But ultimately, the people will deliver the final judgment,” he added.
He reiterated, “I will continue to stand firmly for Punjab and its interests. They may do whatever they wish, but the people will decide whether anyone can stoop to such a level.”
Calling the circulated videos completely fabricated, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann urged people not to believe them. “These videos are entirely fake and fabricated. Since the opposition cannot compete with me politically, they are trying to tarnish my image through false religious propaganda. They cannot tolerate Punjab’s progress, which is why they continue hatching such conspiracies. The people of Punjab will decide. I belong to the people and will continue living among them.”
The Chief Minister further said that three political parties have united against him because they are unable to digest Punjab’s unprecedented development and the immense affection shown by the people. “Congress, which rolled tanks on Sri Akal Takht Sahib, is questioning us today, and it is supported by the BJP, which favoured Congress in this heinous crime. The third party is the one involved in the incidents of beadbi of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. All three have only one agenda, to defame me by every possible means.”
Taking a swipe at the Congress, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “In the Congress, every leader wants to become the Chief Minister. They have more Chief Ministerial aspirants than ordinary workers. Congress is a divided house that will collapse because of its internal infighting. These leaders have no vision for Punjab. Their only aim is to plunder the wealth of the state by returning to power, but their dreams will never be fulfilled.”
He added, “Earlier these traditional parties merely waited for their turn to capture power. Now the broom is there to clean the mess created by them.”
Highlighting the AAP Government’s healthcare initiatives, the Chief Minister said that the state has launched the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna, the country’s first universal healthcare scheme providing cashless medical treatment up to ₹10 lakh for every resident family in Punjab. “It is a matter of immense pride that Punjab has become the first state in the country to provide such comprehensive healthcare coverage. The scheme has significantly reduced the financial burden on people while ensuring quality healthcare. This historic initiative aims to provide universal healthcare to every family in Punjab, and people have already availed free treatment worth more than ₹650 crore.”
Lok Sabha MP Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer and several other dignitaries were also present on the occasion
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Thursday presented evidence exposing a conspiracy behind a fake video circulated on social media to malign his image on religious grounds. Displaying videos and other material before the media, the Chief Minister said a mask resembling him was procured and used to create the fabricated video. He also identified Canada-based Jagman Samra as the person who, he said, used the mask to shoot the video.
CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said the fake video was filmed in a hotel in Canada, whereas he has not visited the country since 2016. He further said the mask was delivered to Jagman Samra in a car and that Samra was subsequently seen holding it. Pointing out that the mask was clearly visible in the video and that his neck surgery scar was missing, the Chief Minister said the makers of the fake video had been identified and would be exposed after verification. He also announced that the matter would be placed before Sri Akal Takht Sahib along with the evidence.
Sharing the video on X, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann stated: “The elders have always said that there may be delay in God’s justice, but never injustice. My dear Punjabis, over the past few days, my political opponents have played politics over a fake video of me. Today, a single mask has exposed the real faces of those opponents. From the very beginning, I have maintained that the person in that video is not me.
“My head has always bowed before Sri Akal Takht Sahib, and it always will. My faith, my conscience, and the wise people of Punjab stand with me. Who masterminded this entire conspiracy? In the coming days, we will make more major revelations about it as well. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh,” the post concluded.
Addressing the media, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “For the last several days, a fake and fabricated video of mine has been circulated repeatedly. Religious directives were also got issued only to derive political benefit from it. Political masters are using people occupying religious positions to make announcements according to their convenience in an attempt to defame me religiously because they cannot compete with me politically. They have become completely irrelevant on the ground and have now stooped to issuing one order after another every day only to malign me religiously.”
The Chief Minister said, “Our government has done unprecedented work for the social, economic and religious welfare of the people of Punjab. Whether it is the strict anti-beadbi law, waiving the tax on vehicles carrying Palki Sahib, holding the Punjab Vidhan Sabha session at Anandpur Sahib at the feet of Guru Sahib during the 350th Shaheedi Diwas celebrations, or granting ‘holy city’ status to three sacred cities, they cannot compete with these decisions.”
CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “All the opposition parties have now united with only one objective: target Bhagwant Mann through false videos so that people begin to hate me. That will never happen.”
Questioning the role of the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC), he said, “Boards have been put up outside Gurdwaras asking people to boycott Bhagwant Mann in the name of the orders of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, whose supreme authority I fully respect along with the entire Sikh Sangat across the world. Why were such boards not put up against Sukhbir Badal when he was declared ‘Tankhaiya’? Why were people not asked to boycott those held responsible for beadbi incidents and police firing? When the SGPC President himself says he is a soldier of Sukhbir Badal rather than Guru Gobind Singh Ji, it becomes clear where his loyalties lie.”
Reaffirming his respect for Sri Akal Takht Sahib, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “When I was called to Sri Akal Takht Sahib, I went there as a humble Sikh. Even today, if I am called, I will appear without hesitation. I can never challenge the supremacy of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, nor do I have the stature to do so.”
Referring to the video released from those proceedings, he said, “I had requested that the proceedings be telecast live, but I was told only a recording would be kept for the Panj Singh Sahiban. Now even that recording is being selectively released after editing. Even in that recording, I maintain that the person shown is not me. Anyone can get this investigated.”
CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Yesterday, the Congress held a press conference asking people to boycott Bhagwant Mann, alleging that I had challenged the supremacy of Sri Akal Takht Sahib. The same Congress, which demolished Sri Akal Takht Sahib and fired tanks and shells during 1984, is now claiming that it will protect the dignity and sanctity of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.”
He added, “The second party is the Akali Dal, which has a history of sacrileges. The third party is the BJP, whose leaders advised Indira Gandhi that attacking was the best option, leading to Operation Blue Star. Today, these three parties have come together and formed a joint front against Bhagwant Mann. This only proves that they have become politically rattled. They cannot gather crowds wherever they go, whereas people are joining me in large numbers.”
CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “I continue to visit villages every single day. Today I am going to Jalur village in Barnala district. Yesterday I was in Dharampura village in Budhlada, and the day before that I was in Mandi Kalan in the Maur Assembly constituency. Every day I meet people in villages. People climb onto rooftops and terraces to see us. They discuss water supply, electricity, employment, village ponds, roads and development. While people are discussing development, my opponents are trying to divert Punjab’s attention towards fabricated controversies.”
CM Bhagwant Singh Mann stated, “After presenting today’s evidence, I believe there will be no need for me to say anything further. I leave the decision to the Guru Nanak Naam Leva Sangat. Before that, I want to show a video in which a young man clearly explains that the individual acting in my place was wearing a mask.”
Explaining the video frame by frame, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “The mask is clearly visible. A distinct line can be seen wherever the mask ends. The person’s chin is completely smooth, whereas I have had a permanent surgery mark on my chin since I was five years old. That mark is visible even in my old videos, including my early comedy videos. Those who created this fake video forgot to recreate that mark.”
He further said, “The neck line, the ears, the facial contours and even the skin colour clearly show that a mask has been placed over another person’s face. The movement of the neck also reveals folds created by the mask. The eyes could not be recreated through the mask, which is why dark glasses were used to conceal them. Anyone can zoom into the video and verify these details.”
He said, “The mask was specially manufactured and delivered. On the day it was delivered, Canada-based blackmailer Jagman Samra recorded a video inside his car after placing the mask over his hand. He also clicked photographs showing the mask and explained how it fits over another person’s face.”
CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “The same mask was later placed on another individual and the fake video was shot. The room shown in the video is a hotel room in Abbotsford, Canada. I have not visited Canada since November 2016. Since then I have been contesting elections and later became a Member of Parliament. The design of the hotel room itself reflects construction styles that became common only after 2017-18. Who places photographs of Guru Sahib inside a hotel room?”
He added, “The same person also ordered a mask of Arvind Kejriwal. We will present that evidence as well in the coming days.”
CM Bhagwant Singh Mann further said, “We will also reveal who financed this operation, who paid for the production of these fake videos, who produced them and who directed them. Those revelations will also be shocking. We only want to verify a few remaining details before placing them before the public.”
He said, “The same hotel room was used to shoot other so-called personal videos attributed to me. All of them were shot on the same day using the same person wearing the mask. That is why I have consistently maintained that the individual in those videos is not me. The body structure, mannerisms, walking style and posture do not match mine.”
CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “The evidence we have presented today will also be sent to Sri Akal Takht Sahib with a request that it be properly investigated. How can a person wearing a mask simply be declared Bhagwant Mann?”
Responding to a question regarding Jagman Samra, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “He belongs to a village near Sangrur, later escaped from Faridkot Jail through Nepal and eventually reached Canada. He is a blackmailer, has links with drugs and has repeatedly indulged in such activities.”
Referring to other allegations, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann stated, “The allegations regarding two IPS officers travelling to Gurugram are also false. People can be made to say anything through agencies. Whenever we produce evidence, attempts are made to discredit it by levelling fresh allegations.”
He added, “An FIR has already been registered in this case. The evidence we have presented today will also be handed over to the police. We will initiate the process of bringing this individual back through Interpol.”
CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said the matter would also be taken up by the Punjab Vidhan Sabha committee.
He further added that Jagman Samra had previously blackmailed the son of a former Union Agriculture Minister, demanded huge sums of money, and had also targeted leaders during the farmers’ agitation.
CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Such fake videos always surface around elections. During previous elections too, fabricated videos were circulated claiming I was drunk, had fallen down, or could not even eat a burger. These are election-time weapons because my opponents have nothing else to offer.”
Concluding, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “The people of Punjab know the truth. Every day when I visit villages, people tell me they understand who is behind these conspiracies. The public knows everything.”

In a social media post, Dhanda said the latest footage raises questions about the authenticity of the earlier video that had become a subject of political debate. He alleged that the controversy was deliberately created to mislead the public and target the Punjab government.
The AAP leader also criticized opposition parties, including the Congress, Shiromani Akali Dal, and the Bharatiya Janata Party, accusing them of using the issue for political purposes. He questioned whether opposition leaders would respond to the allegations after the emergence of the new video.
The controversy has generated discussion on social media
Dhanda claimed that attempts to circulate misleading content undermine healthy political discourse and can create confusion among the public. He urged political parties to exercise responsibility while sharing information on public platforms.
The controversy has generated discussion on social media, with supporters and critics of different political parties presenting varying interpretations of the videos in question. However, no independent verification of the claims made by either side was immediately available.
Political observers note that disputes over edited, manipulated, or misleading digital content have become increasingly common in modern political campaigns, often leading to calls for greater verification and accountability before information is widely circulated.
The matter continues to attract attention online as political parties trade allegations and counter-allegations regarding the authenticity of the content and the motives behind its circulation.
