To support this vision, the government plans to establish a State Data Authority along with initiatives such as an AI Mission, AI Data Lab, Centres of Excellence, and data-centre clusters designed to position Uttar Pradesh as a global hub for advanced technology and deep-tech innovation.

He also announced that under the “Tech Youth–Empowered Youth” initiative, around 2.5 million young people will be trained in emerging technologies, aiming to make them industry-ready and future-focused. According to the government, this skill-driven approach is expected to enhance employment prospects while strengthening the state’s digital economy.

The Chief Minister further stated that Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, One District One Product initiatives, and startup incentives are helping the state establish a strong identity as both an investment destination and a job creator. Skill development centres, he said, will prepare youth for evolving industries while also encouraging entrepreneurship.

In the sports sector, he announced that each divisional headquarters district will have a sports college to nurture talent for future international events, including the Commonwealth Games 2030 and Olympics 2036. Special schemes have also been proposed to support women entrepreneurs, including marketing support programmes, credit card facilities, and district-level hostels for working women.

Calling the ₹9.12-lakh-crore budget “visionary,” Adityanath noted that sustained growth without imposing new taxes reflects disciplined financial management. He urged young people to take advantage of government schemes, adopt emerging technologies, and contribute actively to building a developed and prosperous state.

As curtains came down on the grand Maha Shivaratri celebrations at The Art of Living International Center, visitors carried home memories of a special immersive evening filled with soul-stirring music, deeply transformative meditations in the presence of Gurudev, and Vedic ceremonies as sacred chants filled the atmosphere with positivity, bliss, and celebration.

“Mahashivratri is when the spirit lifts above the material world to something ethereal,” Gurudev shared, “Shiva is present in every particle. The very nature of our consciousness is Shiva. To be immersed in Shiva is devotion, and to see Shiva in everyone is service. That which is imperishable is within us. If we even have this much faith, we become joyful. There will be no lack in life. It is believed that if you participate in Shivratri with devotion and love, then all your desires anyway get fulfilled.” “How does Mahakaal manifest? “He shines as the light within the hearts of yogis,” Gurudev said.

The central highlight of the evening was the sacred Rudra Puja, a powerful Vedic ceremony dedicated to the worship of Lord Rudra, the benevolent form of Lord Shiva. The Rudra Puja invokes the transformative energy of Shiva, symbolizing the dissolution of negativity and the awakening of higher consciousness. Rooted in ancient Vedic chants from the Sri Rudram, the ritual is believed to purify the environment, elevate collective consciousness, and bring peace, prosperity, and well-being to individuals and society. The Rudra Puja was also organized across 150 locations in India and overseas, including in Canada, Dubai, Germany, among others.

The celebrations at the Ashram were also special as attendees had the rare opportunity to have Darshan of the recently found relics of the original Somnath Jyotirlingam, believed to have been destroyed in the attacks by Mahmud of Ghazni in 1026 CE.

The powerful chanting of Rudram verses, Vedic rituals, and soulful singing had visitors from 50 countries as diverse as Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, Malaysia, Thailand, Bulgaria, Arab nations, China, among countries from Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, dancing, singing, and meditating as one consciousness as the evening proceeded.

80-year-old Ankei, an Art of Living teacher from the Netherlands who was visiting the ashram for the first time, shared, “The atmosphere was very joyful here, the people are so nice, so beautiful, and helpful. My eyes filled up with tears when I saw Gurudev arrive for the Puja. That was a very happy and fulfilling moment for me.” Olga from Russia, who has been associated with The Art of Living for 20 years, said, ”It’s like coming home. I feel energized and relaxed here and will take the same energy and joy back to my country and share with people there.” Isabelle, a Dutch citizen who was also in Ashram for the first time, shared, “I absolutely love it here. The atmosphere is charged with devotion and energy, and look at all the plants and animals, the music, and Gurudev’s presence adds magic to all of this!”

Over 3 lakh Mahaprasadam meals were served throughout the day, prepared using over 15 tons of vegetables, by thousands of Art of Living volunteers. The ashram was also the centre of auspiciousness as over two dozen Vedic weddings and Shashti Purti ceremonies got solemnized in the presence of Gurudev on this day.

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann reaffirmed that the Punjab Government remains firmly committed to preserving and promoting the state’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage for future generations. He underscored that from commemorating the Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur ji to celebrating the Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidass ji, Punjab continues to honour its glorious legacy with pride and devotion.

Sharing a few snippets from the puja on X, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal stated: “On the sacred occasion of Maha Shivratri, I had the privilege of offering prayers at Shri Rankeshwar Mahadev Temple in Dhuri along with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. The divine energy of Mahadev brings peace to the mind and renewed strength to the spirit. May Lord Bholenath’s blessings always remain upon all of you, and may the nation and Punjab continue to progress and prosper.”

Meanwhile, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann stated on X: “On the occasion of Maha Shivratri today, I paid obeisance and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva at Shri Rankeshwar Temple in village Ranike, constituency Dhuri, along with AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Incharge Manish Sisodia. I prayed for the prosperity of the nation, peace and harmony, and enduring brotherhood among all. May Lord Shiva’s blessings always remain upon everyone.”

AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “We paid obeisance at Sri Rankeshwar Mahadev temple and prayed for the peace, progress and prosperity of the state.” They further said, “On the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri, we performed Pooja at Siddh Peeth and extend our good wishes to all.” Highlighting the essence of the festival, they said, “Maha Shivratri inspires people to strive towards the pursuit of truth that leads to the ultimate consciousness epitomized by Lord Shiva.” They added, “The festival lays stress on the values of piety, devotion, mutual love and harmony.”

Emphasizing the cultural importance of the occasion, Arvind Kejriwal and CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “This is an important festival known as one of the cornerstones of the great Indian civilization.” They added, “Sri Rankeshwar Mahadev is regarded as a revered Siddh Peeth in the Malwa region of Punjab.” Explaining the spiritual legacy of such sites, they said, “Historically, Siddh Peeths are considered sacred places where intense penance and spiritual practices were performed, leading to divine manifestation.”

Arvind Kejriwal and CM Bhagwant Singh Mann further said, “Such places hold immense importance in our tradition because they are believed to be spiritually energized through centuries of devotion and tapasya.” They added, “This temple is traditionally associated with the Mahabharata period, particularly with Arjuna’s penance to please Lord Shiva.” Elaborating further, they said, “It is believed that after severe tapasya, Lord Shiva appeared before Arjuna and blessed him with divine weapons, the Gandiv Dhanush.”

Linking the shrine to India’s epic heritage, Arvind Kejriwal and CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “This connection links the shrine to one of India’s greatest epics, giving it deep mythological and historical resonance.” They added, “Sri Ranakeshwar Mahadev represents this continuity of Shaivite devotion in the Malwa belt.” They further said, “This sacred place stands as a reminder that Punjab’s cultural identity has been shaped by multiple layers of spiritual history.” Emphasizing the broader significance of the festival, they said, “Mahashivratri is not merely a religious observance but a civilizational festival rooted in ancient tradition.”

Arvind Kejriwal and CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “The festival commemorates the divine union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati and symbolizes spiritual awakening and self-discipline.” They added, “Celebrating Mahashivratri at such a historically significant Tapasthali reinforces the continuity of age-old customs and faith practices.” They further said, “Annual celebrations at Sri Ranakeshwar Mahadev help preserve it as a living heritage site rather than a forgotten monument of the past.”

Underscoring the cultural continuity of the shrine, Arvind Kejriwal and CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “This sacred place reflects centuries-old devotional practices that have been passed down from one generation to another.” They added, “The continuity of rituals demonstrates how faith traditions adapt over time while maintaining their core essence, and it is an important part of the region’s intangible cultural heritage.” They further said, “Such events strengthen regional identity and social unity in the Malwa area and bring together people from different walks of life under a shared spiritual and cultural banner.”

Highlighting the state government’s commitment towards preserving heritage, Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “The state government is already working hard to perpetuate the glorious cultural heritage of the state amongst younger generations.” They added, “The state government has already commemorated the 350th martyrdom day of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur ji in an unsurpassed manner.” They further said, “It is now all set to celebrate the 650th parkash purab of Sri Guru Ravidass ji also in an unprecedented manner.” Concluding, they said, “The state government wants to ensure that our coming generations are made aware of the rich cultural heritage of the state.”

Maggi Masala Test: Consumers today are more curious than ever about what goes into their food. Responding to this growing demand, Trustified has expanded its investigations into the spices category. The first product under the scanner is Nestlé’s popular Maggi Masala.

In the latest video, viewers can now see results from both the earlier lab report and the most recent batch examination. Before diving into the numbers, Trustified highlights a key point. For the first time, its spices reports compare pesticide limits based on both FSSAI and European Union (EU) safety standards. This move aims to provide better context and transparency for consumers.

Why does this comparison matter? In 2024, independent testing in Singapore and Hong Kong detected potentially carcinogenic compounds linked to pesticides and chemicals in some Everest and MDH spice products. This led to temporary sales suspensions and batch recalls. Following the controversy, FSSAI revised certain pesticide safety limits for spices.

Earlier, the maximum residue limit (MRL) for some pesticides was set at 0.01 mg per kg. After revision, it increased to 0.1 mg per kg. Meanwhile, EU regulations still follow the stricter 0.01 mg per kg benchmark. Trustified says showing both standards helps consumers understand how results may vary across regulatory frameworks.

Understanding The First Maggi Masala Test Report

The initial lab report was completed before the teaser release. Here’s how the evaluation was structured:

  • Sachet weight: 6 grams
  • Serving size defined by company: 2 grams
  • Total servings per sachet: 3

All results were calculated on a 2-gram serving basis. On screen, viewers can compare:

  1. The company’s per-serving claims
  2. The actual values detected in lab testing

Key observations from Report One:

  • MSG (Monosodium Glutamate):
     The company claims no added MSG. The lab detected 0.03% MSG.
    However, experts note this does not automatically prove MSG was added. Some ingredients naturally contain glutamates, and labs cannot easily distinguish the source.
  • Heavy Metals:
     Arsenic, cadmium, and mercury were below the limit of quantification (LOQ).
    Lead was detected, but within safety limits.
  • Aflatoxins: Below LOQ
  • Synthetic Dyes: Not detected
  • Microbiological Parameters:
     Mostly below LOQ. TPC (Total Plate Count) detected but within safe range.
  • Pesticides:
     Multiple pesticides were tested. Any detections were displayed in the video.

Despite passing under revised FSSAI limits, the number of pesticide detections surprised the team. This prompted a fresh batch test.

What The Latest Batch Revealed

Due to financial constraints, not every test was repeated. Still, major safety checks were conducted.

Findings from the latest batch:

  • Heavy Metals:
     Mercury below LOQ. Lead, arsenic, and cadmium were detected but within safety limits.
  • Aflatoxins: Below LOQ
  • Microbiological Tests:
     Within safe limits. TPC detected but acceptable.
  • Pesticides:
     Even more detections compared to the earlier batch.

According to the report conclusion:

  • The sample complies with FSSAI guidelines
  • The same sample does not clear EU pesticide limits

This means:

  • Under Indian regulations, the product is considered “Pass”
  • Under EU standards, the batch could face rejection

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has unveiled his next big project, Jai Somnath, and the announcement has quickly grabbed attention. The filmmaker shared the news on Maha Shivratri 2026, Sunday, February 15, which added a spiritual touch to the reveal.

Bhansali introduced the film through a visually striking video on social media. The director teased another large-scale story. 

Sanjay Leela Bhansali Announces Jai Somnath

Sharing the video, the makers wrote, “A temple can be broken, not the faith. Sanjay Leela Bhansali presents – ‘JAI SOMNATH’. Directed by Ketan Mehta. In cinemas worldwide, 2027.”

Unlike Bhansali’s recent films, Jai Somnath will be directed by veteran filmmaker Ketan Mehta. Mehta is known for his distinctive storytelling and culturally rooted cinema. His involvement has already raised expectations.

The historical drama is said to be set in the 1025–1026 CE period. The story will focus on a major historical event – the attack on the revered Somnath Temple by Mahmud of Ghazni. The film is expected to portray this nearly 1,000-year-old chapter of courage and faith.

So far, the makers have kept details about the cast and full storyline under wraps. However, the title Jai Somnath strongly suggests mythological and historical themes. The Somnath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, which adds spiritual depth to the narrative.

Interestingly, both Bhansali and Mehta hail from Gujarat. This shared connection to the state, where the Somnath Temple stands, has added an emotional angle to the project.

The film will be written and directed by Mehta under Bhansali Productions and Maya Movies. A worldwide theatrical release is planned for 2027.

Bhansali’s Busy Line-Up of Films

Even with Jai Somnath announced, Bhansali’s schedule remains packed. The filmmaker is currently working on Love & War, a much-anticipated romantic drama.

The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. Although the makers have not confirmed a release date, industry reports suggest a 2026 release target.

Ranbir Kapoor recently hinted that Ramayana Part One will release before Love & War. With Ramayana expected to hit cinemas in October, speculation points to a possible late 2026 release for Bhansali’s romantic drama.

For Ketan Mehta, Jai Somnath marks another milestone in a career spanning nearly five decades. He made his debut with the acclaimed Gujarati film Bhavni Bhavai, which earned praise for its innovative storytelling.

Over the years, Mehta has directed several notable films, including Mirch Masala, Toba Tek Singh, and Manjhi: The Mountain Man. He is widely respected for blending powerful narratives with social and cultural themes.
