Rahul Gandhi: Senior Indian National Congress (INC) leader Rahul Gandhi has remarked that the party stands with Pawan Khera in the case against him by Himanta Biswa Sarma’s wife Riniki Bhuyan Sharma.

In a post on X, Gandhi remarked the Assam CM is the most corrupt Chief Minister in the country. The Congress leader also demanded a comprehensive probe into allegations against Sarma.

In an X post, Rahul said the Assam CM would not escape the law and added that Sarma has repeatedly abused the state power to harass his political opponents. Gandhi added that questions that have been been raised by Khera need to be investigated.

Gandhi went on to add that accountability of power, transparency and the rules of law are the primary basis of India’s constitutional values. Gandhi added that neither the INC nor Pawan Khera would get intimidated by Sarma.

Remarks By Pawan Khera

 A few days back, Khera claimed on X that he has documents showing that the wife of Assam CM has three passports: one an Egyptian passport, one an Antigua & Barbados passport and a UAE golden card. Khera had then remarked that two of these documents pertain to Islamic countries and yet Sarma continues to claim religious adherence publicly.

The claims by Khera were vehemently denied by the Assam CM and his wife filed a defamation case against Khera. After this, Assam Police went on to nab Khera in Delhi but he had fled to Hyderabad by then.

The Telangana High Court has offered anticipatory bail as the faceoff started to worsen. The bail has been offered to Khera in connection with a case over his defamatory remarks against the Assam CM and his wife.

Interestingly, Rahul Gandhi is also fighting a passport case as questions have been raised in the past about his nationality status.

PM Kisan eKYC: Millions of farmers in the country receive financial assistance of Rs. 6000 every year under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. This year, the 22nd installment of the scheme was paid and farmers are now waiting for the 23rd installment.

PM Kisan eKYC Update

According to the Union Government, only farmers who have successfully completed their eKYC are eligible to receive the 23rd installment and future payments. Thankfully, the entire procedure to complete the eKYC is simple.

Easy Way To Do Online e-KYC

If your Aadhaar has an associated mobile number, you can perform the eKYC on your own. To get started, you will have to visit the PM Kisan website (pmkisan.gov.in) and click on the ‘e-KYC’ option.

Thereafter, you would need to enter your Aadhaar number and hit the search button. A one-time password (OTP) would be sent to your registered mobile number for verification purposes. You need to enter the OTP and hit submit to complete the eKYC instantly.

The online way of eKYC is a faster and better option considering that the eKYC gets successfully completed within a few minutes.

Where To Visit For Offline KYC?

If you’re unable to perform the online eKYC for any reason whatsoever, you can visit the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) and get it done via biometrics (thumb impression). You will need to carry photocopies of your bank passbook and Aadhaar card. You may use the ‘PM Kisan Mobile App’ for KYC through facial recognition.

Main Reasons Why Installments Get Stuck

Payments could get held up because of many reasons apart from eKYC. They include:

  • If physical verification of your land documents is yet to be completed.
  • If your bank account is not linked to Aadhaar and DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) facility.
  • If there is a spelling mismatch in the name between Aadhaar and bank account.

If you are facing any difficulties, you could call the PM-Kisan helpline at 155261 for help. If you have not completed your online or offline eKYC or facing any issues regarding the KYC, you need to act at the earliest.

PM Awas Yojana: Kaithal Beneficiaries Get Relief! 300 Eligible Residents To Receive 2nd And 3rd Payments By This Date

PM Awas Yojana: The Kaithal district council has sent a demand for Rs. 1.29 crore for completing the pending houses of 300 eligible residents in the state of Haryana. It is likely that funds would be credited directly to the bank accounts of eligible individuals by April 20, 2026.

PM Awas Yojana-What’s New?

For many months, eligible individuals under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (rural area) scheme were unable to get a roof over their heads due to no clarity on release of the 2nd and 3rd payments.

It has now been announced that the pending amounts would be provided in 4 installments under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (rural area) scheme.

Under the scheme, 3367 pucca houses were to be built in Kaithal. Out of them, 3179 houses have been found eligible. Till date, 1300 people have received the 2nd instalments while no one has received the 3rd instalment till now. In 2021-22, 822 permanent houses were built in Kaithal under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (rural area) scheme. It has now been announced that the union government would provide Rs. 1.20 lakh while the state government would provide Rs. 18,000.

Suresh Ravish, the District Council Executive Officer, commented that the pending amounts would be credited directly to the accounts of eligible beneficiaries by April 20, 2026.

Students who had successfully registered for NEET UG 2026 could verify and download the city intimation slip by visiting the official website of NEET NTA.

It is important to remember here that the city intimation slip is not the admit card. The city intimation slip is only for communicating candidates about the exact city in which their examination would be conducted. It contains all information pertaining to the NEET 2026 exam such as the candidate’s roll number, name, reporting time, exam centre address and other important exam guidelines. The NEET UG admit card would be released at a later date.

To download, students can visit the NEET NTA website and click on the link “Advance City Intimation for NEET (UG)-2026” before entering your login credentials. After this has been successfully completed, you can view the city intimation slip and download it for future references.
