A source said to Bollywood Hungama, “Accordingly, he reshot nearly 40% of the film as he added some romantic scenes, backstory, etc. The makers submitted the new cut, hoping that they would get the NOC. But the Ministry still has apprehensions.”

The source also added, “One of the requests to Salman Khan is that China shouldn’t be mentioned in the film. This was communicated to the makers in advance. The cut of Maatrubhumi, which was submitted earlier this month, has no mention of China.”

This means the film will now focus more on fiction instead of directly naming any real country involved in the original story.

UPSC Vacancy 2026: An official notification has been released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the positions of Senior Store Officer Grade-2, Assistant Keeper and Livestock officer. The application window for all of these positions starts today (April 11, 2026) and the last date for application is May 1, 2026 (Friday).

The count of open positions for Senior Store Officer Grade 2 is 1, Assistant Keeper is 2 and Livestock officer is 8.

UPSC Vacancy 2026-Age Limit

The maximum age limit for submitting an application for the position of Assistant Keeper is 30 years while the maximum age limit is 35 years for the positions of Senior Store Officer Grade-2 and Livestock Officer.

Age relaxation is available for members of the reserved categories. For instance, SC and ST candidates would receive a relaxation of 5 years while OBC candidates would receive an age relaxation of 3 years.

Educational Qualifications

The Assistant Keeper Position is for the unreserved category, and candidates with disabilities (PwBD) can also apply. Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Anthropology and a Diploma in Museology from a recognized institution with at least 1 year of experience in the preservation and maintenance of specimens in a museum.

A total of 7 positions for Senior Store Officer Grade-II will be recruited at DRDO Headquarters, New Delhi. These include 5 General, 1 OBC and 1 SC category positions, with one reserved for candidates with disabilities (blindness/low vision).

Candidates should have a Master’s degree in related subjects such as Economics, Commerce, Statistics, Business Studies, or Public Administration. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in a related subject along with a Diploma in Material Management or Logistics is acceptable.

Recruitment will be held for 8 Livestock Officer Positions in the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, with 4 EWS, 1 OBC, 2 SC and 1 ST category reservations. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, along with registration with the Indian or State Veterinary Council. Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in livestock development, animal health or related fields.

Noida News: Vivek Kumar Patel, superintending engineer (technical) of the Pashchimanchal Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Limited (PVVNL) has remarked that the city’s power department has initiated the process of installing 55 new 400 kV transformers.

The move would help the power department significantly enhance the supply of electricity in Gautam Buddha Nagar while also reducing overload-related disruptions for the 4.75 lakh consumers of the city.

Noida News Update

According to PVVNL, the areas which are likely to benefit include sectors 22, 23, 26, 55 and 63, among others. The work started earlier this week and is likely to get completed within the next 10 days. The initiative is part of the power department’s initiative to add 500 new transformers in Noida by 2027 so that the rising demand requirements could be efficiently met while strengthening the power network.

Patel added that the addition of 55 transformers would help both residential and commercial users so reliable power supplies could be offered by the power department, especially during the summer months when peak demand happens. Patel added the first transformer was recently installed in Sector 22 that is a highly dense and populated sector of Noida and frequently faces tripping issues because of overloading.

Repair & Maintenance Work

The superintending engineer (technical) of the Pashchimanchal Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Limited (PVVNL) also commented that new transformers’ installation is a key priority for the power department. Patel added that repair and maintenance work on the existing equipment is also in progress so that residential and commercial electricity users in the city could have better summer months this year and beyond.

Officials also remarked that earthing work is also being performed alongside the installations of transformers to improve reliability and safety during adverse weather conditions.

Sanjay Kumar Jain, chief engineer, Noida power department, PVVNL, commented that the power department is continuously working on a series of measures to upgrade the district’s power system SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) scheme that would help foster improved efficiency and reliability in power distribution.

Delhi News: The draft Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy 2026-2030 has been released by the Delhi Government. The draft sets out a comprehensive roadmap for accelerating the capital city’s transition to electric mobility.

Under the proposed policy, only electric 3-wheelers would be permitted for new Delhi registrations from January 1, 2027. Moreover, there would be a blanket ban for new two-wheeler registration (petrol) from April 1, 2028. Once petrol two-wheelers are barred for non-eligibility due to the state’s 15-year vehicle or other rules, they may not be eligible to operate on the road.

Delhi News-What’s Special?

The draft would facilitate a smooth and seamless transition for Delhi to EVs via time-bound limitations on petrol vehicles, incentives for EV adoption, stricter fleet regulations and a large-scale expansion of charging infrastructure in the capital city.

Issued by the Transport Department’s EV Cell, the draft has been placed presently for 30 days of stakeholder feedback by experts and citizens before it gets finalized. The policy is focused at minimizing vehicular emissions and carbon footprint that remain key contributors to the air pollution crisis of Delhi, especially during the winter season when smog is quite prevalent due to stubble burning (parali).

Restrictions For Commercial Fleets

In aggregator-based operations, no new internal combustion engine vehicles would be permitted under the proposed policy, from January 1, 2027 and existing BS-VI two-wheelers in such fleets would only be permitted in Delhi till December 31, 2026.

According to officials, the state government’s approach is designed as a phased transition and not one with abrupt restrictions. This would help consumers and industry adapt without disruptions. The draft also extends electrification targets across the state’s institutional transport systems.

School buses in Delhi would be electrified gradually with targets of 10 percent adoption in year 2, 20 percent in year 3 and 30 percent by 2030. Moreover, all new intra-state buses under the state transport system would make a transition to electric mobility while all leased and hired government vehicles would transit to 100 percent electric mobility from the date of notification.

Thalapathy Vijay starrer Jana Nayagan has landed in a major controversy after parts of the film were recently leaked online. The leak quickly spread on social media and triggered a strong debate among fans and film industry members.

The issue has come at a sensitive time, as the film is expected to be Vijay’s final project before he moves into full-time politics. After the leak, several South Indian celebrities spoke out against piracy and supported the film’s team.

Among them, Telugu actor Vijay Deverakonda shared an emotional message on X (formerly Twitter), expressing anger and disappointment over the incident.

Vijay Deverakonda wrote, “The #JanaNayagan leak makes me angry. I’ve experienced personally the pain and sense of loss when something like this happens, early in my career. You feel like a target, you feel a loss of hope, it’s not just about me, there are co-actors, directors, producers, and so many who have all their dreams on the line (sic).”

He also added, “This current issue needs to get sorted Asap and the people behind it identified, and if it doesn’t it reflects a systemic failure. It keeps reminding us how insensitive people can be, and the extent some will go to cause harm without a second thought. I send my thoughts and my unconditional support to the entire team of the film (sic).”

A section of social media users claimed that the leak could be a planned move for publicity. Some even linked it to political motives, as Thalapathy Vijay is currently associated with his party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.

One user wrote, “It’s a pre-planned election stunt by Vijay to gain publicity and sympathy through propaganda scenes.”

Another comment said, “Dude, it’s Vijay himself who leaked it….If you are angry, tell everyone to not watch the movie when it releases in the theater.”

A third user added, “Boss.. Leaked by movie crew.. For political gains. Without knowing facts don’t write a long essay and become a comedian.”

Makers Issued Warning, Other Celebs Also Reacted

Meanwhile, the makers of Jana Nayagan released a strong warning online. They asked people not to watch, share, or download any leaked content. They also warned that strict legal action will be taken against those involved. Users were urged to delete such content immediately if they come across it.

Pooja Hegde also reacted to the leak. She called it “disheartening” and said it deeply affects the hard work of the entire team. The actress reminded fans that a film is made with countless hours, creative risks and personal sacrifices, and piracy takes away respect from that effort.

She further requested audiences to avoid leaked content and wait for the official theatrical release instead.

Several major South Indian stars, including Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Chiranjeevi, Suriya and Jiiva, also condemned the leak and extended support to the team.

Despite all the reactions and growing controversy, Thalapathy Vijay has not yet issued any public statement on the matter.

Uttarakhand News: On Friday, the first phase of Census 2027 formally started in the state of Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Governor Lt Gen (retd) Gurmit Singh registered their details digitally via the ‘self-enumeration’ facility.

The self-enumeration facility would be made available from April 10 to April 24; census workers would go door-to-door for collecting data from April 25 to May 25.

Uttarakhand Governor made an appeal to the residents of the state to actively participate in the campaign via self-enumeration, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of the data.

Steps To Register Yourself And Your Family

To get started, you need to pay a visit to the Census of India 2027 website here. Now, choose Uttarakhand as the state and enter the captcha code before clicking on verify & proceed. Once this has been done, you need to register a mobile number before verifying it with a one-time password (OTP).

Note: One household can use only a single mobile number for the purpose of self-enumerating for the Indian Census 2026-27.

Thereafter, you need to enter details of your family and home like the name of the household head. You then need to select the district and fill in the pin code of your residential place before filling in details about your village, town or a nearby landmark before you click on the search button. You would now come across interactive mapping with a red marker. You’ll have to drag the red marker exactly on your home so that the exact location of your home could be identified.

Now, click on save & next and a confirmation message would appear. Now, enter household details like number of married couples in the home, ownership of mobile/internet/vehicle, nature of home construction, etc. Lastly, you need to make a click on “final submit” and wait for an 11-digit SE ID to appear, which needs to be shared with census enumerators when they visit your home.
