Actor Rajpal Yadav recently surrendered at Tihar Jail in a decade-old Rs 9 crore cheque-bounce case. Following his surrender, several industry figures have extended support, including music producer Rao Inderjeet Singh Yadav, who contributed Rs 1.1 crore to ease the actor’s burden.

Rao Inderjeet Singh (owner of GemTunes Music) spoke to IANS about his gesture. He said, “Rajpal ji has given immeasurable joy to audiences and has been an integral part of Indian cinema. This support is not about money. It is about standing with a fellow human being in his time of need. Our industry is a family, and families hold each other when it matters most.”

Here’s What He Said About Rajpal Yadav

On Instagram, he shared a QR code for anyone wishing to contribute. He wrote, “Rajpal Yadav ji is samay ek kathin daur se guzar rahe hain. Ek kalakar, ek insaan aur ek parivaar ke sadasya ke roop mein unhone hamesha logon ko muskaan di hai. Aur aaj unhe humare saath, hamari sakaratmakta aur hamare samarthan ki zarurat hai. Maine apni or se Rs 1.11 crore ki sahayata pradan ki hai taaki is mushkil samay mein unhe majbooti mil sake. Yeh sirf aarthik sahyog nahi, balki yeh vishwas hai ki hum apne logon ko kabhi akela nahi chhodte.”

He added, “Yeh ek insaniyat se juda prayas hai – saath khade hone ka, himmat dene ka aur yeh batane ka ki hum sab unke liye prarthana kar rahe hain. Jo log apni bhavna se judna chahte hain, ve apne star par sahyog kar sakte hain ya is sandesh ko aage badhakar samarthan de sakte hain. Aapka ek share, ek sandesh aur ek sakaratmak bhavna bhi bahut maayne rakhti hai.”

Earlier, celebrities including Sonu Sood, Gurmeet Chaudhary and politician Tej Pratap Yadav also offered their support to the actor.

About The Cheque Bounce Case And Legal Proceedings

Rajpal Yadav’s legal troubles began in 2010 when he borrowed Rs 5 crore from M/s Murali Projects Pvt Ltd to fund his directorial debut Ata Pata Laapata. The film failed at the box office, and with accumulated interest and penalties, the total debt rose to nearly Rs 9 crore.

To repay the amount, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 actor issued multiple cheques, which were dishonoured, leading to criminal proceedings under the Negotiable Instruments Act. On February 2, 2026, the Delhi High Court ordered him to surrender before jail authorities by February 4. Despite offering a Rs 25 lakh demand draft and a fresh payment plan, the court maintained the surrender order, noting that the judiciary cannot create exceptions for film personalities.

On February 5, Rajpal Yadav surrendered at Tihar Jail, beginning his six-month sentence under standard procedures.

Talking about his professional front, Rajpal Yadav was last seen in Baby John and Interrogation. His next project is the horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla, starring Akshay Kumar, which is scheduled to release on April 10, 2026.

Under Bhagwant Mann Directions, Punjab Police Arrests Over 48800 Drug Smugglers, Seizes 2+ Tons of Heroin and Motivates Thousands Toward De-Addiction Rehabilitation

bhagwant-mann

Punjab has ramped up its war on drugs with a broad state-wide operation ordered by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. As part of one of the largest drug busts in recent years, Punjab Police arrested over 48,800 individuals suspected of dealing drugs and took more than 2 tons of heroin off the streets, demonstrating strong government intent to put an end to the problem of drugs, which has harmed thousands of families in Punjab.

Record Seizures and Aggressive Policing

Police Officials and Drug Traffickers Work Together: Drug Trafficking Networks operating within and outside of Punjab have been found to be a problem, according to police officials. Large Seizures of heroin (one of the most popular drugs smuggled across border) have occurred during coordinated raids, checkpoints, and intelligence-led operations that were all done in conjunction with each other. Officers indicated that the ongoing investigation was conducted through the use of sustained surveillance, special task force, and strict enforcement within sensitive areas of the border.

Focus on Rehabilitation Alongside Enforcement

Bhagwant Mann News: The Punjab Government has placed a strong emphasis on de-addiction and rehabilitation in addition to making arrests and conducting seizures. Therefore, this has helped encourage thousands of people affected by substance abuse to reach out for assistance through government-run de-addiction facilities. The government has also been implementing programs to promote awareness of addiction through various educational forums and conducting counseling programs in order to provide medical treatment and psychological support to those affected by addiction.

A Dual Strategy: Punishment and Prevention

The State’s Strategy for Drug Trafficking is Two-Fold – To Punish Drug Traffickers and to Prevent an Increase in Drug Addicts. The Government is Targeting Both the Supply and Demand Aspects of Drugs to Create Long-Term Results Instead of Short-Term Ones.

Public Support and Future Action

In partnership with the drug enforcement authorities, citizens, health professionals, and social services have come together in support of an anti-drug initiative. Expecting increased enforcement during the next several months are law enforcement officials as they continue to engage in active and aggressive efforts in providing a drug-free Punjab.

Abhishek Sharma: Sudden Medical Scare Shakes Team, Sanju Samson Makes A Comeback, Will He Be Available For Ind Vs Pak T20 Match?

Abhishek Sharma: The ICC T20 World Cup 2026 is not even one week old and Team India has lost its most dashing run-getter after complaining of severe abdominal pain during net practice. The absence of Abhishek Sharma casts serious doubts over Team India’s preparations for the upcoming matches against Namibia and arch-rivals Pakistan.

Abhishek Sharma-Would He Be Fit For The Crucial Pakistan Game?

According to media reports, Sharma was unwell even before India’s opening fixture against USA. He reportedly ran a high body temperature and was administered medical drips. The dashing left-handed opener missed the team practice session at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium.

India’s assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate remarked Abhishek is likely to be available for the Pakistan game and may miss the Namibia game. Doeschate confirmed that all-rounder Washington Sundar would join the team and remarked that Jasprit Bumrah would be back for the Namibia game on February 12.

Enter Sanju Samson

The Kerala dasher Sanju Samson would return to the opening slot, pairing with Ishan Kishan who has been in top form. Samson who was dropped after a string of low ODI scores in the recent series against South Africa would like to win back his place in the Indian Team.

Samson looked out of form against Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh in the nets. He later received treatment on his left arm that could spell troubles for Team India.

Presently, Team India is at the second position with one win from one game. It enjoys a net run rate of +1.450. Group A is presently led by Pakistan with two wins from two matches and a net run rate of +0.932. The other teams in the Group A include the Netherlands, Namibia and USA.

The top 2 teams would advance to the Super 8 stage but would be placed in different Super 8 groups because of pre-assigned seedings.

Bhagam Bhag 2: Why Was Govinda Excluded? Paresh Rawal Confirms His Dual Role, Reacts To Akshay Kumar And Manoj Bajpayee’s Fresh Pairing

Fans of the 2006 cult comedy Bhagam Bhag were surprised when reports revealed that Govinda would not be returning for the sequel. In his first comments, veteran actor Paresh Rawal confirmed Govinda’s exit and revealed that he will be playing a double role in the film. He also shared his thoughts on the new pairing of Akshay Kumar and Manoj Bajpayee in Bhagam Bhag 2.

Paresh Rawal On Govinda Not Being Cast In Bhagam Bhag 2

During his chat with Bollywood Hungama, Paresh Rawal confirmed that Manoj Bajpayee has joined the sequel as one of the leads. He said, “It’ll make for a different and unique combination.”

On Govinda’s absence, Paresh admitted, “I have genuinely no idea. However, we’ll miss Govinda.” He added that he is excited to play a double role, which offers both challenges and comic opportunities.

The decision to replace Govinda reportedly comes from the makers’ plan to take the franchise in a fresh direction. While the original film relied on the iconic trio of Akshay Kumar, Govinda and Paresh Rawal, the sequel focuses on mistaken identities and chaotic comedy, requiring a new cast dynamic.

Govinda’s Career And Recent Struggles

Govinda (a superstar of the 1990s) has faced a decline in his film career over the past decade. His last major film, Rangeela Raja (2019), where he also played a double role, failed at the box office. Multiple attempts at a comeback have not succeeded, and his long absence (along with personal controversies) may have influenced the decision to move forward without him.

Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, has said that he often struggles with taking on non-hero roles because he is surrounded by people who do not give honest advice. She added that this has sometimes limited his opportunities in recent years.

Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhagam Bhag became a cult hit thanks to its slapstick humour, witty dialogues, and chaotic storyline about a theatre troupe caught in crimes abroad.

Nearly 20 years later, Bhagam Bhag 2 is in development, with filming set to begin in Mumbai soon. The sequel will be directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa (known for the Dream Girl franchise) and promises a fresh script focused on mistaken identities and situational comedy.

India US Trade Deal: Changes in Fact Sheet, Donald Trump Playing Smart or Playing Dirty? Delhi Takes Notice, Deal Signing at Risk?

India US Trade Deal

India US Trade Deal: The “father of all deals” has been twisted by the United States in a strange turn of events. The revised India-US trade deal factsheet now features word changes from India “commits” to India “intends” for purchasing $500 billion in goods produced by the United States. The revised factsheet also removed references to specific agricultural items and digital services tax.

India US Trade Deal-What Did The Initial Version Said?

The factsheet of the initial version stated that India will commit to purchase over $500 billion of American products including US energy, agricultural, coal, information & communication technology and other products.

It was also noted that India would reduce or remove tariffs on all US industrial goods and a series of food and agricultural products such as fresh and processed fruit, certain pulses, soybean oil, wine and spirits, dried distillers’ grains (DDGs), red sorghum, tree nuts and additional products.

What Does The Revised Version Say?

The revised version on website of the White House says that India “intends” to purchase more of American goods. The revised version also “deliberately” omits the term “agricultural” from the list of product categories.

The revised version does not state that India would be removing its digital services taxes but instead notes that India is committed for negotiating a powerful set of bilateral digital trade rules.

As per the trade deal’s proposed arrangement, the Trump-led government would reduce tariffs to 18 percent from the existing 50 percent on Indian goods. In return, the Asian superpower would significantly reduce or eliminate import duties on all industrial products of the United States.

The India US Trade Deal is likely to be signed by mid-March this year. Many in the political circles believe that Donald Trump gave his acceptance to the deal fearing that the India and the European Union deal would hurt the supremacy objectives of the United States.

Delhi News: After Janakpuri Pit Horror, Another Life Lost in Rohini Drain, Delhiites Search For Answers!

Delhi-News

Delhi News: Another deadly catastrophe happened in Delhi on February 10, 2026, when 32-year-old Birju Kumar slipped into an open drain in Rohini’s Sector 32, close to the Mahashakti Kali Temple. People in the area called for help, which made the Delhi Fire Services and police hurry to help. Even though they tried, Kumar was pronounced dead on the scene.

Around 7:45 PM, Birju Kumar, who lived in Samastipur, Bihar, fell into an open manhole while walking on empty DDA land in Begampur. Officials said that the drain didn’t have any signs or barriers to keep people out. Police and emergency services worked together to collect the body, which shows that there are still problems with urban safety rules.

Delhi News: Link to the Death in Janakpuri Before

This is the second time this has happened in less than a week. Kamal Dhyani, a 25-year-old biker, fell into a Delhi Jal Board pit that was 15 to 20 feet deep in Janakpuri on February 6 while riding home. Both events show how often the city fails to conceal exposed drains and excavation pits.

Anger from the public and response from officials

People in Delhi are angry about the recurrent dangers to their infrastructure. People want the MCD and DDA, two of the city’s municipal agencies, to be held responsible for not securing open drains and pits while development is going on. Officials have blocked up the Rohini site for an investigation, but there have been no reports of quick suspensions or other actions to fix the problem.

More and more people are worried about safety

People who care about safety in cities say that these events show how careless Delhi’s civic infrastructure is as a whole. Open pits and drains without barriers are still quite dangerous for pedestrians and commuters, which shows how important it is for civic bodies to keep a close eye on them and fix them quickly.

Shivam Mishra: The recent Lamborghini crash in Kanpur has sparked public discussions on three main issues: road safety and responsibility, and how powerful families affect these matters.

The Accident That Triggered the Controversy

The incident took place on a busy road in Kanpur when a high-end Lamborghini, reportedly worth around ₹10 crore, crashed into multiple vehicles, including an auto-rickshaw and a motorcycle. The collision resulted in multiple people sustaining injuries. People began sharing eyewitness accounts and video footage showing the crash site immediately after the accident.

Police Version: Shivam Mishra Was Driving

According to Kanpur police officials, evidence collected during the investigation indicates that Shivam Mishra was behind the wheel at the time of the accident.

Authorities relied on:

  • CCTV footage from the area
  • Eyewitness statements
  • Preliminary forensic observations

Family’s Claim: The Driver Was Behind the Wheel

The Mishra family denies that Shivam Mishra was driving, claiming a hired driver was behind the wheel and later submitted an affidavit taking responsibility. They claimed Shivam became sick after the accident and needed medical treatment in Delhi.

Police Reject the Driver’s Confession

The police authorities dismissed the driver’s admission because video recordings and witness testimonies created evidence that contradicted his statement. The authorities continue their investigation by examining all available evidence.

The Business Tycoon Angle

The case has gained attention because Shivam Mishra is the son of a prominent tobacco businessman. The connection has created public discussion about potential influence and special treatment during the case proceedings. The police investigation shows that the initial FIR named an unidentified suspect, but they identified Shivam through evidence collected during their inquiries.

Legal Proceedings and What Lies Ahead

The investigation is ongoing, and a charge sheet will be filed soon. The court will decide responsibility after reviewing evidence, including video footage, the driver’s confession, and forensic findings.

Reality Dawns On Khawaja Asif, US Using Pakistan As Toilet Paper Resonates in Pak Parliament, Is There A Way Out?

Khawaja Asif

Khawaja Asif: In a stunning parliamentary showdown, Pakistan’s defence minister has ignited a firestorm by publicly declaring that the United States of America has been treating the country like “toilet paper.”

The unfiltered, raw remark delivered amid heated debates in the Pakistan Parliament on foreign policy has resonated across the country’s political spectrum, possibly forcing a rare moment of national introspection. The statement by Asif has brought a question before millions of Pakistanis – is there a way out?

Khawaja Asif-The Viral ‘Toilet Paper’ Bombshell

The controversy erupted during a fiery session in the Pakistan’s National Assembly on February 10 when Khawaja Asif, a veteran Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) leader, responded to queries by the opposition parties on the country’s strained ties with Washington. The comments of Asif drew thunderous applause from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmakers and even a few reluctant nods from his own party members.

Asif claimed that Pakistan was pushed to the war’s frontline after the September 11 attacks. The Pakistani defence minister also said that the country paid the price in this war that was not even its war in the first place and yet it was ultimately sidelined.

Recent triggers included muted response of the US government to the economic woes of Pakistan amid IMF bailouts, coupled with overtures to India via defence pacts like Communications Compatibility and Security Agreement (COMCASA) and growing military sales.

What Caused The Outburst?

The outburst of Khawaja Asif came weeks after a leaked US State Department cable dismissed Pakistan as a “transactional partner,” prioritizing India in the Indo-Pacific strategy.

In 2025, the $450 million F-16 package in 2025 of US came with strings attached – demands for action against Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). The China CPEC deal valued at $62 billion has irked the Trump administration. Meanwhile, India is strengthening its ties with the European Union, UAE, Australia, Canada and the United States.

Khawaja Asif’s “toilet paper” zinger may be the wake-up call Pakistan needs.

Jana Nayagan Release Delay: Madras HC Permits Plea Withdrawal In Thalapathy Vijay-Bobby Deol Film UA Certification Row, What Follows Next?

Jana Nayagan Makers Witndraw Plea from Madras HC - What's next for Thalapathy Vijay starrer

The legal battle over Thalapathy Vijay and Bobby Deol starrer Jana Nayagan has taken a decisive turn. On Tuesday, the Madras High Court allowed KVN Productions to withdraw its writ petition seeking a UA certificate for the film. With this move, the producers have chosen to follow the statutory review process before the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) Revising Committee.

Justice PT Asha permitted the withdrawal of the plea. As a result, the earlier court proceedings have now been closed. The film will move forward under the CBFC’s internal review mechanism.

This development comes as a setback for fans who were hoping for clarity on the release date. However, it also brings a clear path forward for certification.

Jana Nayagan Release Delay: What Led To The Court Decision?

The controversy began earlier this year when the CBFC referred Jana Nayagan to a Revising Committee just days before its planned Pongal release on January 9. Earlier (on December 22), the Examining Committee had recommended a UA16+ certificate with 14 cuts and modifications.

KVN Productions argued that the certification process was almost complete. According to them, only the formal issuance of the certificate remained. They approached the High Court, claiming that the referral to the Revising Committee disrupted the final stage and put the release at risk.

Initially, a single-judge bench directed the CBFC to issue the UA16+ certificate. However, on January 27, a Division Bench led by Chief Justice MM Shrivastava and Justice Arul Murugan set aside that order. The bench observed that the CBFC had not been given enough time to present its response before the earlier direction was passed.

The CBFC maintained that the Examining Committee’s recommendation was not a final decision under the Cinematograph Rules. The Board also stated that the chairperson acted within his powers after receiving a complaint. The complaint reportedly raised concerns about scenes involving the Indian Armed Forces and possible hurt to religious sentiments.

Senior advocate Satish Parasaran (appearing for KVN Productions) argued that the Board had effectively accepted the recommendation and that only certification remained. However, after the Division Bench ruling, the producers decided to withdraw their petition and participate in the Revising Committee process.

What Follows Next For Vijay’s Final Film?

With the legal route closed, Jana Nayagan will now be reviewed by the CBFC Revising Committee. This panel usually includes nine members. They will watch the film again and decide whether to grant a U, UA or A certificate.

The committee may also suggest additional edits. Notably, the makers have already implemented 27 cuts and modifications in December 2025.

Industry sources suggest that the re-examination could take up to 20 days. If the process moves smoothly, an early March 2026 release looks possible. There is also a slight chance of a late February release if the committee clears the film quickly.

Meanwhile, reports indicate growing pressure from streaming partners. Since the original January release was delayed, producers are keen to complete the theatrical run before digital premiere commitments come into effect.

According to KVN Productions, Jana Nayagan was first submitted to the CBFC on December 18, 2025, and had already undergone scrutiny before the dispute began.

Vande Mataram: Historic Shift! National Song Precedes National Anthem After A Wait Of 150 Years, How Will Opposing Lobby React Now?

Vande Mataram

Vande Mataram: The Union Government has issued a 10-page order that directs that the national song Vande Mataram would get preference if the national anthem and national song are played or sung together. In other words, Vande Mataram would be played first followed by Jana Gana Mana.

The Vande Mataram Directive

The order directs that Vande Mataram has to be played at the unfurling of the revered Indian tricolour. It should also be played at the arrivals and departures of the President at formal event and every time President addresses the nation.

It should also be played when the national flag of the country is brought on parade, during civil investitures and at the arrivals and departures of lieutenant governors/governors at formal state functions.

The playing time for the official six-stanza version should be 190 seconds. Audience must stand at attention and mass-singing must be encouraged.

Origins Of Vande Mataram

Vande Mataram was penned in 1875 by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, initially as a two-stanza poem in Bengali and Sanskrit. In 1882, Vande Mataram was later expanded to six stanzas for the novel Anandamath.

Composed on November 7, 1875 (Akshaya Navami), Vande Mataram turned 150 in 2025.

The song personifies India as a divine mother. The first public rendition occurred at the 1886 session of the Indian National Congress when it was sung by Rabindranath Tagore. During the Indian independence movement, the song became the rallying cry. It was sung during protests, meetings and processions, defying the ban imposed on it by the Britishers on its public singing. It was endorsed by Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi as a source of unity, empowering youth and uniting diverse groups across different regions.

Vande Mataram was adopted on January 24, 1950 as the national song of India. Unlike the national anthem that focuses on brotherhood, the national song evokes maternal devotion and supreme sacrifice.

In 1937, Congress, under leaders including Jawaharlal Nehru and with Gandhi’s support, adopted only the first 2 stanzas as the “national song for public gatherings.” This decision aimed to avoid offending Muslim sentiments, as Nehru noted in letters that religious allusions might irritate minorities amid Partition tensions.

How Will Opposing Lobby React Now?

Several leaders such as Asaduddin Owaisi, Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, Mamata Banerjee and Abu Azmi have repeatedly spoken against the Vande Mataram. Some have cited religious objections while some treat the song as part of the BJP’s divisive tactics echoing “divide and rule” and question their freedom struggle credentials.

Karan Johar Wins Defamation Lawsuit Against CarryMinati, Court Slams ‘Vulgar’ Roast And Issues THIS Warning

Karan Johar and Carry Minati

Karan Johar has won his defamation lawsuit against YouTuber Ajey Nagar aka CarryMinati. A Mumbai court has restrained the content creator from posting or sharing any “objectionable or defamatory” material against the filmmaker. The order comes after Johar moved court over a roast video that targeted him.

For years, Karan Johar has faced criticism online over nepotism allegations in Bollywood. Many social media users mocked him and blamed him for promoting star kids. However, this time, the issue did not remain limited to memes and online debates. It turned into a legal fight.

The recent court order has now put a temporary stop to the controversy.

Karan Johar Wins Defamation Lawsuit, Court Slams ‘Vulgar’ Roast

On Monday, the Mumbai court passed an ad-interim order against Ajey Nagar (popularly known as CarryMinati) along with Meta Platforms and others. The case is linked to a roast video titled Coffee with Jalan. The video was uploaded on CarryMinati’s YouTube channel and was reportedly inspired by Koffee With Karan.

Johar claimed that the video used abusive language and made defamatory remarks about him and the industry. He argued that the content went beyond humour and crossed into defamation.

In his order dated February 9, Judge Pandurang Bhosale said, “Prima facie, it appears that Ajey Nagar and Deepak Char (manager of the CarryMinati channel) have made defamatory statements and used vulgar language against the plaintiff. These videos need to be taken down immediately. There should be an injunction against all those who circulate and re-circulate these videos on social media platforms. This is a fit case to pass ad-interim injunction orders against the defendants.”

The court also gave a strong warning against sharing or reposting similar content. In its order, the judge clearly said that all the named defendants (along with their team members or anyone connected to them) are temporarily banned from creating, uploading or circulating any defamatory or insulting material about Karan Johar on any social media platform. This restriction will remain in place until the court takes a final decision on the matter. The court also directed the concerned platform to immediately remove the videos and related links.

Although CarryMinati reportedly said that the video had already been removed, Johar argued that the damage was already done. He told the court that the clip had received millions of views before being deleted. He also pointed out that parts of the video are still circulating as reels and short clips online.

Karan Johar’s Upcoming Projects

Amid the legal battle, Karan Johar continues to focus on his films. He is waiting for the release of his upcoming production Accused. The film is directed by Anubhuti Kashyap and stars Konkona Sen Sharma and Pratibha Ranta. It will release on Netflix on 27 February.

Reports also suggest that Johar has locked the script for his next directorial project. The film is said to be a grand family drama. Industry insiders believe it could be a spiritual successor to his 2001 hit Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Tentatively called K3G 2, the film will reportedly feature two male and two female leads. Pre-production may begin in mid-2026, with filming expected later that year.

Ranveer Singh And Deepika Padukone Take Major Step After Late-Night Threat: 6 Armed Guards Deployed, Society Alarmed – Check Details!

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone Tighten security after extortion threat

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have increased security at their Mumbai home after a late-night threat. Reports claim that Ranveer received a WhatsApp voice note in which the sender allegedly demanded crores. Soon after, the couple deployed six armed security guards outside their residence.

This sudden move has raised concern inside their housing society in Dadar. An official letter was sent by the society to the Dadar Police Station. The letter questioned the presence of armed guards in common areas of the building.

The matter has now become a talking point, as residents seek clarity about safety and permissions.

Ranveer Singh Tightens Security After Late-Night Threat

According to the letter, six armed guards were deployed in and around the building without the “permission” of the Society Managing Committee. The letter also mentioned that one uniformed police officer has been stationed with the actors.

The society expressed serious concern about the safety and comfort of other residents. Members said the armed personnel were seen carrying weapons in shared spaces like the lobby, gymnasium and children’s area.

In its letter, the society asked the police to verify whether proper approval had been granted. It also raised three key questions: Are the private security guards deployed within the residential complex carrying licensed firearms? Has your office (the Dadar Police Station) granted them permission for this? Details of the police personnel deployed in the flat, including the department they belong to and the nature of their deployment.

The society further stated that no prior approval was taken before placing the guards in the common areas of the building.

Police begin probe into extortion voice note

Preliminary information suggests that the threat was sent to Ranveer Singh’s assistant through a WhatsApp voice message. Reports indicate that the assistant may have blocked unknown calls. As a result, the sender allegedly used a voice note to deliver the threat demanding crores.

According to India Today, Ranveer informed the Mumbai Police soon after receiving the message. Security outside his residence was then increased as a precaution. Police have launched an investigation and are trying to trace the person who sent the voice note. More details are expected as the probe continues.

So far, neither Ranveer Singh nor Deepika Padukone has issued a public statement.

On the professional front, Ranveer was recently seen in the spy thriller Dhurandhar. The film became the highest-grossing movie in India in 2025. It is set in Pakistan and follows an Indian spy infiltrating terror networks in Lyari. The film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and R Madhavan. It is currently streaming on Netflix, and its sequel will be released in cinemas on March 19.

Deepika Padukone was last seen in Singham Returns. She gave birth to their daughter, Dua, on September 8, 2024. She will next be seen in King with Shah Rukh Khan.

Promise Day 2026: When ‘Forever’ Becomes A Trap – The Dark Side Of Love Bombing No One Talks About

Promise Day 2026

Promise Day 2026: Promise Day is meant to celebrate trust, commitment and genuine emotions. But for many, Promise Day 2026 may also highlight a growing concern in modern relationships – promises that feel magical at first but later turn emotionally damaging.

What looks like intense love and devotion can sometimes be love bombing, a manipulative pattern where big promises and grand gestures are used to gain emotional control. The danger is that these promises often sound perfect, especially in the early stages of love.

Love bombing is now widely discussed by psychologists as a red flag behaviour that hides behind romance.

Promise Day 2026: What Is Love Bombing And Why It Starts With Promises

Love bombing is a relationship pattern marked by excessive affection, attention and promises very early on. The goal is to create a strong emotional bond quickly, before real trust and understanding are built.

Psychologists describe it as “over-the-top” behaviour that lowers emotional defences. It makes the other person feel special, chosen and deeply valued – fast.

Common signs include:

  • Constant compliments and emotional reassurance
  • Frequent messages and calls
  • Expensive or excessive gifts
  • Statements like “You’re my soulmate” early on
  • Big future plans without real time together

These behaviours are often supported by beautiful promises that feel irresistible. However, experts warn that words may move much faster than actions.

Mental health professionals link love bombing to controlling or narcissistic tendencies, where emotional dependency is created to influence decisions and behaviour later.

The Hidden Cost Behind Beautiful Promises

The problem with love bombing is not the affection. It’s the sudden shift that often follows. After the intense beginning, the attention may fade. Promises may stop. Control or criticism may begin.

This emotional push and pull can leave a person confused, insecure and deeply attached to the version of love they were first shown. The promise of “forever” becomes a trap built on emotional investment.

Healthy PromisesWhat They IndicateUnhealthy (Love-Bombing) PromisesWhat They Hide

Experts clarify that not all grand gestures are harmful. But when promises grow faster than trust and emotions escalate without consistency, it can be a serious warning sign.

Professionals advise slowing down, setting boundaries and watching whether actions stay steady over time. Real love grows gradually – it doesn’t rush to promise everything at once.

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann urges Punjabis not to fall for misinformation on Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday appealed to the people of Punjab not to be misled by misleading and malicious propaganda being spread by anti-Punjab forces regarding the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna, the flagship healthcare programme of the state government.

In a video message addressed to the people, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “The Punjab government launched this ambitious scheme to ensure that every resident of Punjab, especially those from the weaker sections of society, has direct access to quality medical treatment.”

Explaining the scope of the initiative, Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “To provide comprehensive healthcare to the people, the state government has introduced the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna, a first-of-its-kind scheme in the country, under which every resident family in Punjab is entitled to cashless medical treatment of up to Rs 10 lakh.”

Calling it a landmark achievement, the Chief Minister said, “It is a matter of immense pride and satisfaction that Punjab has become the first Indian state to offer such extensive healthcare coverage. This scheme will significantly reduce the financial burden on the public while ensuring access to quality health services.”

Highlighting universal eligibility, Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “This historic step aims to provide universal healthcare to all families in the state. All government employees, pensioners, and every other citizen are eligible for the health card, which can be obtained from facilitation centres and Common Service Centres, or through online registration using Aadhaar card or voter card.”

Referring to the public response, he said, “The scheme has received an overwhelming response from the people of Punjab, who are coming forward in large numbers to avail its benefits. This initiative has provided major relief to families who otherwise would have had to spend huge amounts from their own pockets for treatment in case of illness.”

However, the Chief Minister cautioned against misinformation, saying, “Some anti-Punjab forces, who do not want the people of the state to benefit from such facilities, are deliberately spreading falsehoods about this ambitious scheme.”

He added, “These misnomers are intended to discourage people from availing the benefits of the scheme, which is completely unwarranted and undesirable.”

Clarifying the hospital empanelment process, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “The state government has empanelled a majority of private hospitals under the scheme. Rates have been fixed by the government for around 2,600 ailments and treatments.”

Explaining the payment mechanism, he said, “The government will pay hospitals as per the mutually agreed rates, regardless of the fact that these hospitals may charge higher amounts from private individuals.”

Emphasising accountability, the Chief Minister said, “Hospitals are duty-bound to provide treatment at the rates fixed by the government, and they must ensure that treatment is given free of cost to the beneficiaries.”

Rejecting misinformation outright, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Hospitals will be paid directly by the government, and not even a single penny will be charged from the beneficiaries, despite attempts by forces inimical to the state to paint a different picture.”

Reiterating the core assurance of the scheme, the Chief Minister said unequivocally, “Treatment under the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna will be completely free of cost, and no fees will be charged from patients by the hospitals.”

Appealing for vigilance, he said, “People of Punjab must remain alert to such forces that are hell-bent on harming public interest by spreading baseless rumours. I urge everyone not to get swayed by such canards.”

Detailing the safeguards in place, Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “The state government has put in place a foolproof mechanism under which the entire treatment process, from hospital admission to diagnosis, treatment, and discharge, is entirely free of cost.”

Issuing a clear warning to erring hospitals, the Chief Minister said, “If any hospital demands money from a patient under this scheme, a complaint should be lodged with the state government immediately.”

Assuring strict action, he added, “The government will take strict, punitive, and exemplary action against any hospital found indulging in such malpractices.”

Concluding his appeal, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “I urge the people of Punjab to take maximum benefit of this scheme, which has already earned accolades from across the globe.”
