AAP’s major protest with band-baja outside Partap Singh Bajwa’s residence against Congress for mocking Dalits & working class

Punjab News

Calling out Congress’s casteist and elitist remarks into a flashpoint on Punjab’s streets, senior leaders, ministers, MLAs, and hundreds of karyakartas of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab on Sunday held a high-voltage band-baja protest outside the residence of Leader of Opposition (LoP) Partap Singh Bajwa, slamming Congress leadership for mocking Dalits, degrading honest livelihoods, and exposing its deeply feudal and dynastic mindset.

As AAP leaders moved to gherao Partap Singh Bajwa’s house, tensions escalated into a clash with the police, water cannons were used to disperse the crowd, and several leaders and workers were injured, underscoring the intensity of public anger against the insult not just to Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO, but to the entire Dalit and working-class community of Punjab.

Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO, along with his wife Surinder Kaur, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, Health Minister Dr. Balbir, Mohinder Bhagat, Dr. Ravjot, MLAs Amansher Singh (Sherry Kalsi), Kuljit Randhawa, Inderbir Singh Nijjar, Neena Mittal, Labh Singh Ugoke, Chetan Jodamajra, Inderjit Kaur, Chairman Harchand Singh Barsat, Sunny Singh Ahluwalia, and hundreds of party leaders and workers participated in the protest. Simultaneously, under the leadership of AAP leader Joban Randhawa, a separate protest was also held outside Partap Singh Bajwa’s residence in Qadian, Gurdaspur.

Addressing the protest, Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO said that mocking honest, hard-earned livelihoods was shameful. He said that making fun of the honest work done by someone’s father and degrading an entire community was deeply disgraceful. He stated that his father was a band master who educated his children through sheer hard work. “I studied in a government school and reached here on the basis of my own merit. Bajwa Sahib is saying that ‘we will play the band of a band player’s son.’ We have worked hard. We have not done smuggling or gold biscuit trafficking. This insult is not just mine, but of every poor family that educates its children through honest earnings,” he said.

Targeting Congress, the Minister stated that in Partap Singh Bajwa’s eyes, Dalit society was merely material that could be bought and sold for votes. He recalled that statements were made in the Assembly asking where this material came from, reflecting the Congress mindset that a mobile repairman or a poor person’s child could never become an MLA. “Babasaheb Ambedkar gave everyone equality in the Constitution, but Congress’s feudal thinking remained unchanged even today. People like Raja Warring and Partap Singh Bajwa considered themselves kings and could not digest the fact that under CM Bhagwant Singh Mann’s cabinet, six Dalit ministers from ordinary homes were doing exemplary work,” he added.

Targeting Raja Warring, Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO said that on one hand Congress leaders spoke about law and order, and on the other hand, in rallies before 1,200 people, they openly issued threats. He asked whether this was not jungle raj and said that such statements were meant to intimidate elected representatives so that children from poor families never dared to enter politics again.

Recalling his own educational struggle, the minister said that just one month after his father’s death, he worked relentlessly and passed his examination to fulfill his father’s dream. He said, “Even today, I am pursuing a PhD from Punjab University. There are 163 government schools in my constituency, and my effort is to produce one ‘ETO’ from every household. We began the education revolution to eliminate the gap between the children of the poor and the rich. Congress is afraid of this very change because they know that once poor children get educated, their politics will collapse.”

Issuing a warning, Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO said that a 24-hour ultimatum had been given, but Partap Singh Bajwa fled and vacated his house. “Wherever Bajwa went, AAP workers would gherao him there. If Partap Singh Bajwa did not immediately apologize, strict legal action would be taken, and in 2027, the people of Punjab would uproot this arrogant mindset completely,” he asserted.

Speaking separately, Surinder Kaur, wife of Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO, said that Partap Singh Bajwa made vulgar remarks on their family’s profession and belittled honest work by mocking band playing. “No work was small or big and added that Congress president Raja Warring also made an extremely provocative statement. On one hand Raja Warring tried to incite 1,000 to 1,500 people sitting before him, and on the other hand, he claimed that Punjab was under jungle raj and that law and order was poor,” she added.

Addressing the protest, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said that Congress, Akali Dal, and BJP-like parties had always promoted dynastic politics, where only a few families ruled. “The AAP had broken this tradition by bringing educated youth from ordinary homes into the Assembly and the Cabinet. He said the protest aimed to expose the mindset of those who hated Dalits while sitting inside grand palaces,” he asserted.

Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said that due to the visionary thinking of Arvind Kejriwal, a major transformation had taken place in Indian politics. “After Delhi, the people of Punjab embraced this change. In 2017, for the first time, individuals from ordinary backgrounds, including doctors, lawyers, professors, and former defense personnel, entered the Punjab Assembly. In 2022, the people of Punjab strengthened this movement by giving AAP 92 seats, clearly rejecting dynastic politics,” he added.

Targeting Partap Singh Bajwa and Raja Warring, Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said that these leaders could not digest the progress of children from ordinary homes and were indulging in casteist remarks and divisive politics. “It is extremely unfortunate that the qualifications of Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO, who is highly educated and a PCS exam qualifier, were being questioned, reflecting Congress’s belief that children from poor families should not move ahead,” he affirmed.

He emphasized that it was because of the Right to Equality given by Babasaheb Ambedkar that today the son of a rickshaw puller could become an IAS officer and youth from ordinary homes were part of the Punjab Cabinet. “CM Bhagwant Mann, six ministers from the Dalit community were part of the Cabinet for the first time in Punjab’s history. In 2027, the people of Punjab would once again teach these arrogant and dynastic parties a harsh lesson,” he asserted.

Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh said that the anti-Dalit and anti-working-class mindset of Congress leaders had been exposed before the entire state. Referring to Partap Singh Bajwa’s statement, he said that Congress mocked hardworking people and had no respect for honest labour, adding that such remarks reflected a deeply despicable mindset.

MLA Inderjit Kaur said that the insulting words spoken against Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO were not an insult to one individual alone, but to the entire Dalit and working-class community of Punjab. She said that Congress president Raja Warring’s violent remarks were extremely serious and demanded legal action against him. She asserted that while AAP represented ordinary people, Congress remained steeped in corruption and arrogance.

She warned that if opposition leaders did not restrain their language and thinking, the people of Punjab would not allow them to enter villages in the coming elections and would ensure victory on all 117 seats in 2027, completely ending their political arrogance.

MLA Amansher Singh, known as Sherry Kalsi, said that old political families like Congress and Akali Dal could not tolerate the progress of children from ordinary homes. “These parties believed power should remain confined within their families and that was why they referred to ministers as material and indulged in violent rhetoric. Leaders dreaming of returning to power in 2027 would face a crushing defeat at the hands of the people of Punjab,” he added.

During the protest, as AAP leaders moved to gherao Partap Singh Bajwa’s residence, a heated argument broke out between party workers and the police, which soon escalated. The police used water cannons to stop the protesters, injuring several leaders and workers, and detained multiple prominent AAP leaders.

Uttarakhand to Begin Green Cess Collection at 15 Entry Points from February 15

The Uttarakhand government is set to begin collecting Green Cess on vehicles entering the state from outside at 15 designated border points from February 15. The initiative is aimed at balancing environmental protection with sustainable revenue generation and is expected to fetch the state around ₹100 crore annually.

According to officials, the Transport Department has already identified 15 entry points across the state where the cess will be levied. At present, Green Cess is being collected only from private vehicles entering Uttarakhand at the Narson border, but the new system will significantly expand its coverage.

Uttarakhand: ANPR Cameras to Ensure Transparency

To ensure smooth and transparent collection, the Transport Department is installing Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras at all identified points. These cameras will automatically scan vehicle number plates and collect the cess digitally, reducing manual intervention and minimising the scope for irregularities or revenue leakage.

Officials said the use of technology will also help in better traffic monitoring and data collection, which can be useful for future transport and environmental planning.

Reducing Dependence on Tourism Revenue

The move reflects the state government’s intent to diversify its revenue sources rather than depending solely on tourism. While Uttarakhand witnesses heavy tourist inflow throughout the year, especially during peak pilgrimage seasons, the government believes that environmental compensation through Green Cess is necessary to manage the pressure on infrastructure and natural resources.

Heavy Tourist and Pilgrim Inflow

Every year, lakhs of vehicles from other states enter Uttarakhand for religious and tourism purposes. Major attractions such as Char Dham Yatra, Kanwar Yatra, Hemkund Sahib, along with Haridwar and Rishikesh, draw visitors from across the country. The influx significantly increases vehicular movement, contributing to pollution and environmental stress in the fragile Himalayan ecosystem.

Revenue and Environmental Impact

Currently, Uttarakhand earns around ₹25–30 lakh per day as Green Cess from commercial vehicles. In addition, private vehicles registered within the state already pay a one-time Green Cess at the time of registration. The new mechanism specifically targets private vehicles coming from other states, which have seen a sharp rise in recent years.

Once fully implemented, the expanded system is expected to generate an additional ₹100 crore annually, strengthening the state’s finances while supporting environmental conservation efforts.

Protecting a Fragile Himalayan State

Officials emphasised that the Green Cess is not just a revenue measure but also a step towards environmental accountability. Uttarakhand’s sensitive geography makes it particularly vulnerable to pollution, traffic congestion, and ecological degradation.

By imposing Green Cess, the government aims to send a clear message that every vehicle entering the state must share responsibility for protecting its environment, ensuring sustainable development while preserving Uttarakhand’s natural heritage for future generations.

CM Bhagwant Mann Reviews Sports Development, Calls for Reviving Punjab’s Sporting Culture

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday held a high-level meeting in Chandigarh with senior officials of the Sports and Youth Services Department to review key issues related to sports development and youth engagement across the state. The meeting focused on strengthening sports infrastructure and promoting a strong sports culture in Punjab.

CM Bhagwant Mann Reviews Sports Development

During the discussion, the Chief Minister emphasized the need to actively encourage youth to take up sports as a means to build a healthy, disciplined, and fit society. He directed officials to ensure that sports facilities are made more accessible at the grassroots level so that young talent from every corner of the state gets an opportunity to grow.

Calls for Reviving Punjab’s Sporting Culture

Bhagwant Mann said that his government is making continuous efforts to revive Punjab’s rich sporting legacy and reconnect young people with playgrounds and sporting activities. He stressed that sports not only contribute to physical fitness but also help in shaping character, teamwork, and leadership qualities among youth.

The Chief Minister also asked the department to work with greater coordination and dedication to nurture talent, organize sporting events, and promote a positive sporting environment throughout the state. He reiterated that the Punjab government remains committed to empowering youth through sports and creating a strong foundation for future athletes.

In addition, CM Bhagwant Mann highlighted that sports can play a crucial role in steering youth away from drugs and other social evils. He underlined that a vibrant sports ecosystem is one of the strongest tools to channel the energy of young people in a positive direction and to build confidence, discipline, and a sense of purpose among them.

The Chief Minister reviewed ongoing sports schemes and stressed the importance of timely implementation of projects related to stadiums, playgrounds, coaching facilities, and talent identification programmes. He instructed officials to regularly monitor ground-level progress and ensure that benefits of government initiatives reach young athletes without delays or bureaucratic hurdles.

Mohinder Bhagat, Under CM Bhagwant Mann’s Leadership, Slams Congress Leaders Over Remarks on Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh

Bhagwant Mann: AAP leader Mohinder Bhagat has strongly condemned the derogatory remarks made by Congress leaders Pratap Bajwa and Raja Warring against Punjab Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO, calling them unacceptable and an example of Congress’s negative and irresponsible politics. He said such statements go against the spirit of democratic discourse and cannot be tolerated in public life.

Under CM Bhagwant Mann’s Leadership, Slams Congress Leaders

Speaking on the issue, Mohinder Bhagat said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Aam Aadmi Party believes in issue-based, respectful politics, while the Congress continues to indulge in personal attacks due to political frustration. He asserted that targeting a serving cabinet minister with offensive comments reflects the opposition’s lack of vision and constructive agenda.

Bhagat further stated that he, along with other cabinet colleagues, has collectively approached the authorities to seek a clear and public explanation from the Congress leaders concerned. He stressed that accountability is essential, especially for senior political leaders whose words carry influence in society.

Bhagat said that the Mann government will not remain silent in the face of such statements

Reiterating the AAP government’s stand, Bhagat said that the Mann government will not remain silent in the face of such statements. He demanded that Pratap Bajwa and Raja Warring issue an unconditional apology to the public, adding that political disagreement should never cross the line into personal insult.

The AAP leader also highlighted that the Punjab government, under CM Bhagwant Mann, is focused on governance, development, and public welfare, while the opposition is trying to divert attention through controversial and demeaning remarks. He concluded by saying that the people of Punjab are watching closely and will judge parties not by their words, but by their conduct and commitment to democratic values.

New Income Tax Draft Rules Bring Old Tax Regime Back into Focus

Income Tax News

The newly proposed Income Tax draft rules have once again drawn attention to the old tax regime, triggering discussions among taxpayers and financial experts. While the government has been promoting the simplified new tax regime in recent years, the latest draft suggests that the traditional system continues to remain relevant for a large section of taxpayers.

New Income Tax Draft Rules Bring Old Tax Regime Back into Focus

According to experts, the renewed focus on the old tax regime is primarily due to the wide range of exemptions and deductions it offers. Benefits such as deductions under Section 80C, 80D, HRA, LTA, home loan interest, and other savings-linked exemptions make the old regime attractive, especially for salaried individuals and middle-income groups who actively invest in tax-saving instruments.

Income Tax Department is expected to provide further clarity

The draft rules indicate that taxpayers will continue to have the option to choose between the old and new regimes, allowing them to select the structure that best suits their financial planning. While the new regime offers lower tax rates with fewer compliances, it removes most deductions, which may not be beneficial for those with structured savings and investments.

Tax professionals believe that the government’s move reflects an understanding that a one-size-fits-all approach may not work for India’s diverse taxpayer base. Individuals with housing loans, insurance policies, provident fund contributions, and medical expenses often find the old regime more tax-efficient despite higher slab rates.

The Income Tax Department is expected to provide further clarity once the draft rules are finalized. Until then, experts advise taxpayers to carefully evaluate both regimes based on income structure, deductions, and long-term financial goals before making a choice for the upcoming assessment years.

Knee Crackling: Hormone And Gut Health Coach Shares Expert Opinion On Causes, Symptoms And Treatment Options For Crepitus

Knee Crackling

Knee Crackling: Knee Crackling (also known as popping noises or crepitus) is a serious health concern for a majority of elderly people, even people in their late 30s and early 40s. While usually harmless, persistent sounds originating from knee accompanied by pain do warrant immediate attention to prevent long-term joint issues.

Expert Opinion

Dr Manpreet Kalra, Masters Public Health (Germany) and M.Sc. Nutrition (Lady Irwin college), shares her expert opinion on the causes, symptoms, treatment options, tips and precautions associated with Knee Crackling.

Knee Crackling-Causes, Symptoms And Treatment Options

Primarily, knee crackling while ascending stairs happen due to abnormalities in the patellofemoral joint where the kneecap glides over the thigh bone. Grinding sensations are created by rough cartilage surfaces, exacerbated by knee bending under body weight. Usually, muscle imbalances such as weak inner thigh muscles tend to pull the kneecap off-track, resulting in improper gliding and noise.

Ideally, individuals diagnosed with knee crackling should start with a conservative RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation) protocol. To get started, high-impact activities such as jumping jacks, jumping rope or squat jumps should be reduced. Ice should be applied several times for 20-30 minutes every day. Compression should be facilitated via elastic bandage and elevation must happen above heart level.

When it comes to physical therapy, individuals should focus on vastus medialis oblique (VMO) exercises such as terminal knee extensions or wall sits to stabilize the patella.

The common symptoms of knee crackling are pain under or around the kneecap, sharpening with squatting, stair use or prolonged sitting. Stiffness, swelling or a “giving away” sensation may accompany it, indicating misalignment or inflammation.

Industrial Starch: Are You Unknowingly Harming Yourself Every Time You Eat Cakes, Pastries, Chips And Baby Formulas?

industrial starch

Industrial Starch: It may come as a surprise to you but industrial starch that can cause gut damage, inflammation, weight gain, blood sugar spikes or non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) hides in everyday treats like cakes, pastries, chips and even baby formulas. Derived from sources such as potatoes or corn, industrial starch is commonly used in the food processing industry as a cheap filler and thickener.

What Exactly Is Industrial Starch?

Industrial Starch can be described as a natural carbohydrate derived from plants such as potatoes, corn or wheat. Manufacturers extract this form of starch before processing it with acids, heat or enzymes into a white powder known as modified food starch (or maltodextrin). It helps in enhancing shelf life and texture of processed foods without adding much nutrition or benefits.

Bakers often rely on it to create fluffy textures in muffins, cakes and pastries. Industrial Starch absorbs moisture, cuts costs and prevents sogginess by replacing pricier flours. It is also used in potato chips and crackers as a binder or crisp enhancer. It helps in forming uniform shapes during the process of frying and extending freshness to processed foods. Usually, brands list “modified starch” or “dextrin” among ingredients.

Related Health Concerns

Industrial Starch tends to digest faster than natural carbohydrates, spiking insulin and blood sugar levels. It promotes belly fat (even stubborn abdominal and visceral fat), inflammation and type 2 diabetes risk.

Tips & Precautions

Search for words such as “food starch”, “modified corn starch”, “maltodextrin” or “hydrolyzed starch” on product labels. Instead of foods rich in this form of starch, choose homemade cakes with almond flour, starch-free formulas or air-popped popcorn without additives. For infants, choose baby milks balanced with lactose alone. Swap chips for veggie sticks or nuts.

Black Vs Green Grapes: Which One Is Better? Chronic Disease & Gut Guru Explains

Black Vs Green Grapes

Black Vs Green Grapes: For centuries, grapes have been considered Mother Nature’s superfood packed with fibre, hydration and antioxidants. Health experts, including eminent gut specialists and chronic disease experts, have long recommended their unique advantages to reduce inflammation, reduce bad cholesterol and improve cardiovascular health.

Black Vs Green Grapes-The Underlying Differences

Black Grapes-Antioxidant Champions

Black Grapes are a far superior choice to green grapes because of their superior antioxidant profile.

These stand out for their deep purple hue, signalling high levels of resveratrol and anthocyanins. These potent antioxidants helps in preventing oxidative stress that is generally linked to severe and debilitating health conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and cancer. Resveratrol and anthocyanins are known to improve the flow of blood in body and protect body cells against diseases.

Green Grapes-Crisp Gut Cleaners

Green Grapes are known for delivering a refreshing, tart crunch with potassium, vitamin K and catechins that demonstrate unmatched neuroprotective activities through the activation of protein kinase C and transcription factors. They promote blood pressure control, anti-cancer effects and bone health. Their blend of balanced fibre and vitamins support detoxification fosters a healthy gut microbiome.

Green Grapes are high in hydration and light on sugar load, which makes them an excellent choice for gut cleansing without blood sugar spikes.

How To Wash And Consume?

Both varieties of grapes (green and black grapes) act as effective natural cleansers. Antioxidants in grapes neutralize harmful free radicals while soluble fibre binds harmful toxins for elimination, promoting clearer skin and liver detox.

Grapes are best washed with baking powder and vinegar and rinsed enough so all harmful particles are removed. They are best consumed mid-mornings; large night portions must be avoided as sugars in grapes could disrupt sleep. Ideally, you should consume only 10-15 grapes (150g) a day to prevent excess fructose intake.

Sharad Pawar
Google

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar has been hospitalised for medical treatment, triggering widespread attention across Maharashtra’s political circles. The veteran leader, known for his enduring influence in state and national politics, was admitted following health-related concerns, according to people familiar with the development. Details regarding the nature of the treatment remain limited, and there has been no official word on the expected duration of his hospital stay.

Political Significance of Pawar’s Health

Sharad Pawar’s health often becomes a matter of public and political focus due to his central role as a consensus-builder and strategist. At 80-plus, Pawar continues to shape political alignments, guide party decisions, and influence coalition dynamics. His hospitalisation has prompted close monitoring from allies and rivals alike, reflecting the weight his presence carries in Maharashtra’s power equations.

Reactions Across Party Lines

Leaders from multiple parties have expressed concern and extended wishes for his recovery. Within the NCP, senior functionaries are reportedly in touch with doctors and family members for updates. The development has also sparked conversations within the ruling and opposition camps, as Pawar is widely regarded as a key figure capable of altering political strategies, particularly during periods of alliance negotiations or electoral planning.

No Immediate Political Disruption

Despite the attention surrounding his health, there has been no indication of any immediate disruption to party functioning. Varanasi Viral Video: Empowered Lady Tries to Trick Auto Driver Into Transferring Rs 20000, Aware Public Takes Her to Task

varanasi Viral Video

Varanasi Viral Video: In recent years, there has been a massive surge in the count of online fraudsters who try to gain easy money by fooling innocent people. A video from the City of Mahakaal is now going viral reminding everyone about the challenges posed by digital transactions.

Varanasi Viral Video-What’s In The Video?

In a shared video, a young girl can be seen tricking an auto driver. She asks him to transfer ₹20,000 online into her personal bank account in lieu of cash. The girl can be seen repeatedly convincing the auto driver to make the required payment as she need the money urgently in her UPI account.

To win the trust of the auto driver, the girl keeps telling the auto driver that she would quickly pay him in cash.

UPI Done, Cash Refusals Start

It is alleged that the girl refused to pay the auto driver in cash once she got ₹20,000 from him. She then starts threatening the auto driver. Seeing the situation, many auto drivers and locals gathered at the scene to stand in support of the driver.

The girl returned the money only after the people present started pressurizing her to immediately return the money. She returned via an online transfer after repeatedly asking for more and more time for the transaction to happen.

Lessons To Be Learnt From The Incident

Online fraud can happen to anyone anytime anywhere. Age, gender and financial appearance don’t discriminate between fraud activities. In fact, a significant majority of fraudsters often portray themselves as rich but in a sudden problem and out of solutions.

It’s good to help others but not before helping yourself. You must fully convince yourself of the “real intentions” of the other person before extending any kind of help. For instance, the auto driver should have taken ₹20,000 in cash before making the UPI payment transfer, especially since the person asking for help was a complete outsider and unknown to him.

Amul Vs Country Delight Vs Mother Dairy Milk Test: Is Your Milk Safe? Test Results Reveal BIG

Amul Vs Country Delight Vs Mother Dairy Milk Test

Amul Vs Country Delight Vs Mother Dairy Milk Test: Families across India count on eminent milk brands such as Amul, Mother Dairy and Country Delight for their daily glass of milk. However, a bombshell lab report from Trustified has exposed a major hygiene and safety crisis for all milk lovers in the country. It is not just about product quality or spoilage but about a direct and significant effect to everyone’s health, especially to that of vulnerable groups such as pregnant women, the elderly, infants and growing children.

Amul Vs Country Delight Vs Mother Dairy Milk Test Is Your Milk Safe Test Results Reveal BIG-The Lab Test Shockers

Trustified, a consumer advocacy group, subjected several variants of milks offered by Amul, Mother Dairy and Country Delight to stringent microbial testing under Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) guidelines.

Amul Taaza (Pouch) and Amul Gold (Pouch)

Coliforms (bacteria present in the digestive tracts of animals) was detected far beyond the guidelines of FSSAI. These faecal bacteria indicator signals contamination from unclean storage or processing.

Country Delight Cow Milk (Pouch)

The total plate count (TPC) was twice the FSSAI guidelines, reflecting bacterial contamination including coliforms that may produce toxins causing diarrhoea, gastroenteritis or digestive issues upon consumption. Elevated TPC reduces shelf life, reduce nutritional value and may alter texture or taste via spoilage.

Mother Dairy Cow Milk (Pouch)

The total plate count (TPC) was 8 times the FSSAI guidelines, which means millions more bacteria per millilitre than allowed.

Amul Taaza Tetra Pack

In stark contrast, Amul Taaza Tetra Pack emerged as the safest, with no violations or concerning lab test results.

Conclusion

None of the pouch packs cleared the disease-causing bacteria test. Tetra packs, thanks to Ultra-High temperature (UTH) processing and sterile packaging, was the only one that prevent post-pasteurization contamination.

What Does This Mean For Your And Your Family’s Health?

Milk pouch variants of the above brands are not for your health, especially if you and your loved ones belong to vulnerable groups such as pregnant women, the elderly, infants or growing children. This is simply because elevated total plate counts and high coliforms are not just numbers but gateways to real harm, including life-threatening diseases and even deaths in acute cases.

The presence of coliforms can denote E. coli or pathogens like Salmonella that can trigger food poisoning with fever, diarrhoea, abdominal cramps or vomiting. Pregnant women may face preterm labour, dehydration risks or haemolytic uremic syndrome (kidney failure). Elderly people with weak immunity levels can be put to an increased risk for sepsis, resulting in septic shock in rare cases. Infants and young children may experience stunted growth due to chronic gut inflammation induced by elevated total plate counts and high coliforms.

Repeated exposure to elevated total plate counts and high coliforms can result in poor gut health, causing irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), weakened immunity and nutrient malabsorption. The 8x bacterial overload of Mother Dairy Cow Milk (Pouch) could result in antibiotic-resistant strains, complicating medical procedures and treatments.

Switch to proven-safe tetra packs, boil milk for 5-10 minutes to slash bacteria, refrigerate below 4°C immediately and stay vigilant!

Is Arijit Singh making a quiet comeback through Aamir Khan Productions’ Ek Din after quitting new playback gigs? Check Facts

Arijit Singh
Google

Speculation around Arijit Singh’s Bollywood future resurfaced after Aamir Khan Productions confirmed his vocal contribution to the upcoming film Ek Din. The development led to claims that the singer may be staging a “quiet comeback” after announcing his exit from new playback assignments earlier in 2026. A closer look at the timeline, however, tells a different story.

What Arijit Singh Announced in January 2026

In late January, Arijit Singh publicly clarified that he would no longer accept new Bollywood playback singing projects. He explained that the decision was part of a personal creative shift, with plans to focus on independent music, live concerts, and Indian classical pursuits. Crucially, Arijit also stated that he would complete any professional commitments already in place before the announcement.

This distinction—between new work and existing obligations—formed the foundation of his decision.

Where Ek Din Fits In

On February 9, 2026, Aamir Khan Productions confirmed that Arijit Singh had recorded a song for Ek Din, starring Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi. Reports indicated that Aamir Khan personally visited Arijit at his West Bengal residence to finalise the recording.

The production house made it clear that Arijit’s involvement was part of a pre-existing commitment, not a new project taken on after his playback exit announcement. As such, Ek Din aligns with Arijit’s earlier clarification rather than contradicting it.

No Reversal of His Playback Stance

Arijit has reiterated that while some of his previously recorded songs may continue to release through 2026, he does not plan to take on fresh Bollywood playback assignments. There has been no statement suggesting a change in policy or a renewed interest in film music collaborations.

Why the “Quiet Comeback” Narrative Falls Short

The idea of a silent return overlooks the clarity of Arijit’s original announcement. Completing pending work is not the same as re-entering the industry. In this case, Ek Din represents professional closure, not a comeback.

The company’s Sarvam Vision, an out-of-the-box artificial intelligence (AI) model, which was launched on February 5 claims to outperform many acclaimed AI systems such as ChatGPT and Gemini in terms of optical character recognition (OCR) and document intelligence for the languages of India.

Sarvam AI-What Makes It Different And Better?

Built around the proprietary vision-language model of the company, Sarvam Vision performed exceptionally well across 22 official languages of the country in OCR tasks (Malayalam, Kannada, Gujarati, Punjabi, Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Assamese and more).

Furthermore, Sarvam Vision is highly useful in its unique abilities to analyze complex visual structures. It can be used to interpret complex layouts, nested tables, multi-column documents and trend lines in charts. This unique capability makes it an excellent choice for examining academic papers, historical archives, financial documents and government records.

The company has decided to make its Vision Experience and Document Intelligence application programming interfaces (APIs) free in the month of February 2026 for all users.

The popularity and success of Sarvam AI would help India rely less on tools from other countries. This would also help in realizing the concept of Viksit Bharat 2047 while creating new jobs. In addition to these advantages, it would also help democratize access, which would eventually help developers and startups of the country to build India-centric applications. Moreover, introduction and success of tools such as Sarvam AI would foster indigenous innovation, reduce dependency on foreign tech and position the country as a world leader in inclusive AI for the world.
