Vande Bharat: Indian Railways has announced that a trial halt at the Shamlaji Road Railway Station (SJS) would be started for the Udaipur City–Asarva (Ahmedabad) Vande Bharat Express (Train No. 26963/64). This would help in improving regional connectivity and passenger convenience.

During a special ceremony, Chief Guest Poonamchand Baranda, Gujarat Minister of State of Tribal Development, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs and Shobhanaben Mahendrasinh Baraiya, Member of Parliament, Sabarkanth, flagged off the train at the Shamlaji Road station. On the occasion, senior railway officials such as Mahendra Depal (Regional Officer, Udaipur), Mihir Dev (Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Ajmer Division) and other officials and local dignitaries were present.

The train running between Udaipur and Asarva (Ahmedabad) would now stop at Shamlaji Road along with Dungarpur, Zawar and Himmatnagar.

A well-known pilgrimage destination, Shamlaji is famous for the Shamlaji Vishnu Temple that is located on the banks of the Meshvo river. Also known as Dholi Dhajawala because of the white flag that flutters on temple’s top, the temple is believed to have been built around the 16th century.

The sculpture of Lord Vishnu probably dates back to the 7-8th century and the small temple opposite the temple is home to a 6th century sculpture of Lord Shiva. Shamlaji is also home to the Karmanu pond and the Surya reservoir known to wash away sins.

Shamlaji, which is 29 km from Modasa and 20 km from Bhiloda, is frequented by state transport buses from Ahmedabad and Himmatnagar.

Train No. 26963 (Udaipur City–Asarva) would arrive at 8:28 am and depart at 8:30 am while Train No. 26964 (Asarva–Udaipur City) would arrive at 7:18 pm and depart at 7:20 pm.

The halt at the Shamlaji Road Railway Station (SJS) would remain on a trial basis until further orders.

Ustaad Bhagat Sing Box Office Collection Day 5: The numbers show a clear slowdown as the film struggles to hold its ground against the massive run of Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge. Starring Pawan Kalyan, along with Sreeleela and Raashii Khanna, the Telugu action drama has been affected by the strong performance of the Ranveer Singh spy thriller, which continues to dominate theatres across India.

Both films were released on March 19, and the clash looked exciting at first. However, after five days, the gap between the two movies has become huge, especially after Monday’s sharp drop in collections for Ustaad Bhagat Singh.

Ustaad Bhagat Singh box office collection day 5 figures show a major fall in earnings. According to trade estimates, the film collected only Rs 1.96 cr on Monday. This is a huge drop of around 74 percent compared to Sunday, when the film had earned Rs 7.50 cr.

The fall also came with a reduction in shows. The number of screenings went down from around 3,200 on Sunday to nearly 2,715 on Monday. Over the weekend, the film had shown some stability. On Saturday, it earned Rs 9.05 cr from more than 3,300 shows, which was slightly better than Friday’s Rs 9 cr collection.

The biggest drop came on Friday itself. After opening with Rs 34.75 cr on Thursday during the Ugadi and Gudi Padwa holiday, the film fell by more than 75 percent the very next day. After five days in theatres, the total collection stands at around Rs 62.26 cr net in India, while the gross collection is about Rs 73.35 cr. Overseas earnings are around Rs 10.12 cr, taking the worldwide total to nearly Rs 83.47 cr.

While Ustaad Bhagat Singh is slowing down, Dhurandhar 2 is continuing its record-breaking run. The film, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, has already crossed Rs 800 cr worldwide and over Rs 600 cr in India.

Interestingly, even the Telugu dubbed version of Dhurandhar 2 earned more than Ustaad Bhagat Singh on Monday. The spy thriller collected around Rs 3.50 cr in Telugu, compared to Rs 1.96 cr earned by the Pawan Kalyan starrer. This shows how strongly the Hindi film has entered the Telugu market within just a few days.

On the opening day itself, the difference between the two films was huge. Ustaad Bhagat Singh earned Rs 34.75 cr on Thursday, while Dhurandhar 2 collected more than Rs 100 cr in India on the same day. At that time, the Telugu version of Dhurandhar 2 had a limited release, but the film picked up quickly in the region over the weekend.

About This Pawan Kalyan Starrer

Ustaad Bhagat Singh is directed by Harish Shankar and marks his second collaboration with Pawan Kalyan after the hit Gabbar Singh. In the film, Pawan Kalyan plays ACP Bhagat Singh, while Sreeleela appears as RJ Leela and Raashii Khanna plays Shloka. The cast also includes R Parthiban, Ashutosh Rana, Gautami, Rao Ramesh and K S Ravikumar in important roles.

The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and is made on an estimated budget of around Rs 150 cr. Despite the scale and star power, the film has received mixed to negative reviews, which has affected its box office performance. The runtime of the film is about 2 hours and 34 minutes.

Speaking earlier about the box office clash, Harish Shankar said that the release date was a collective decision and not his alone. Supreme Court Verdict: In a landmark judgement, the Supreme Court of India has upheld the order of Andhra Pradesh High Court, holding that once someone converts to Christianity and actively practices and professes the same cannot be considered as a Scheduled Caste community member.

The Court added that conversion to any other religion other than Hinduism, Buddhism or Sikhism would be considered complete and immediate loss of the Scheduled Caste status.

Supreme Court Verdict-What’s in Store?

The Supreme Court said the Constitution (Scheduled Caste) Order, 1950 made this extremely clear and the bar under the order was absolute. The Court clarified that conversion to any religion that is not mentioned in Clause 3 of the 1950 order leads to the immediate loss of Scheduled Caste status.

The Court remarked that no individual is entitled to any statutory protection, benefit or entitlement under the Constitution of India or enactment of Parliament or state legislature who by operation of Clause 3 is not considered to be a Scheduled Caste community member. The Court added no exceptions would be admitted and the bar is absolute. It also said that an individual could not simultaneously practice and profess a religion other than those mentioned in clause 3 and still claim Scheduled Caste membership.

Court Case

The Supreme Court order was made in the context of an individual who had converted to Christianity and acted as a Pastor. However, he went on to file a case under the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act against certain individuals who allegedly assaulted him.

The Andhra Pradesh High Court ruled that the concept of caste system is alien to Christianity and hence the individual could not invoke the provisions of the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. The pastor then decided to file a special leave petition before the Supreme Court that gave the verdict against him.

Directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, the spy action thriller has crossed the Rs 500 crore mark in India in just five days. The film saw a slight drop on Monday after a huge weekend, but it still stayed strong and continued its record-breaking run.

Released on March 19, the film opened with massive numbers and quickly became one of the fastest-growing Hindi films ever. Because of strong word of mouth and packed theatres, the movie has already entered the list of the biggest blockbusters in Indian cinema.

The Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge box office performance remained impressive even on Monday. After a huge opening weekend, the collections slowed down a little, which is normal for a working day. However, the film picked up again in the afternoon and evening shows.

The Ranveer Singh starrer earned about Rs 454 crore net in its opening weekend in India. This total also included Rs 43 crore from paid previews. The film also created history by collecting more than Rs 100 crore for three days in a row, which had never happened before in Hindi cinema.

According to Sacnilk, the film earned around Rs 65 crore net on Monday. This took the total domestic collection to nearly Rs 519.12 crore. The morning shows recorded over 30 percent occupancy, which is very strong for a weekday. Over the weekend, the film had touched nearly 80 percent occupancy, so the drop was expected but still impressive.

With this, Dhurandhar 2 has become the fastest Indian film to cross the Rs 500 crore net mark. It has beaten the Hindi record of Baahubali 2, which had earned around Rs 511 crore in 2017. That record had stayed unbeaten for six years.

Ranveer Singh Starrer Now Targets Pathaan, Animal And Stree 2

The Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge box office run has already crossed the Hindi collections of KGF Chapter 2 and also gone ahead of the lifetime earnings of Rajinikanth’s 2.0 in India. Now the film is moving towards the numbers of recent blockbusters like Pathaan, Gadar 2, and Animal.

The film will soon enter the Top 10 highest-grossing Indian films of all time. At the current speed, this may happen before the first week ends. After crossing Rs 500 crore, the next big target is to beat the lifetime numbers of films like Stree 2 and move higher in the all-time list.

The film is also doing very well overseas. It opened with around $7 million internationally and added nearly $2.5 million more on Monday. The overseas weekend total reached about $25 million. In North America, the film was among the top earners of the weekend. The worldwide total has now reached nearly Rs 850 crore, with around Rs 100 crore coming in on Monday alone.

About Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge

Dhurandhar 2 (officially titled Dhurandhar The Revenge) follows Indian agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi, played by Ranveer Singh. In the film, he goes undercover using the name Hamza Ali Mazari and enters Karachi to destroy a terror network and take revenge for the 26/11 attacks.

The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and Akshaye Khanna in key roles. Made on a huge budget of around Rs 225 crore, the film is one of the most expensive Bollywood productions. It also has a long runtime of nearly 3 hours and 49 minutes, making it one of the longest mainstream releases in recent years.
