Vaibhav Sooryavanshi: Rajasthan Royals’ teenage wonderkid Vaibhav Sooryavanshi once again proved why he is the biggest breakout star of IPL 2026. The 15-year-old produced a sensational 96 off just 47 balls in Qualifier 2 against Gujarat Titans, keeping Rajasthan in the hunt with a fearless display of strokeplay.

The young batter narrowly missed out on a century but still etched his name into the record books. His innings helped Rajasthan post a challenging 214/6 and further strengthened his reputation as one of the most exciting young talents in world cricket.

Gill Delivers When It Matters Most

However, when the pressure was at its highest, GT captain Shubman Gill produced a captain’s knock for the ages.

Gill smashed a magnificent 104 off 53 balls and shared a massive 167-run opening partnership with Sai Sudharsan, who contributed a rapid 58. Their partnership completely shifted the momentum and left Rajasthan searching for answers.

Gujarat Titans Storm Into The Final

Chasing 215, Gujarat Titans completed the highest successful chase in their franchise history, reaching the target in just 18.4 overs and sealing a dominant seven-wicket victory. The win sends GT into their third IPL final in five seasons, underlining their consistency as one of the league’s strongest teams.

While Sooryavanshi earned admiration for another record-breaking performance, the night ultimately belonged to Gill. His century not only knocked Rajasthan Royals out of the tournament but also set up a blockbuster IPL 2026 final showdown against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

People of Punjab Have Applauded Bhagwant Mann Govt’s work & Swept Out ‘ED Party’: Arvind Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal

Just months before the Punjab Assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s sweeping victory in the urban local body polls has given a major political boost to the party across the state. Celebrating the massive win, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and other senior leaders thanked the people of Punjab for endorsing Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s ‘Kaam ki Rajneeti’ (politics of work).

The AAP Supremo asserted the people of Punjab have rewarded the Bhagwant Mann government’s performance with a historic mandate, while the “ED Party” has been wiped out from the state after traders and ordinary people responded strongly to repeated ED raids and harassment targeting small businessmen across Punjab.

AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal warned businesspersons across Punjab and said, “After the civic election results declared on Friday, the ED Party is planning ED raids against several traders in the coming days. All traders should remain alert. Our government stands firmly with every trader. The ED Party must be completely driven out of Punjab.”

Sharing a video on social media platform ‘X’, Arvind Kejriwal stated, “The results of the municipal corporations and urban local body elections in Punjab were declared today and the Aam Aadmi Party has completely swept the entire state. The party has registered a massive victory across all urban local bodies. A few days ago, the results of the rural local body elections for panchayats, panchayat samitis and zila parishads were also declared, and the Aam Aadmi Party had achieved a huge victory there as well. Now the urban election results have come and we have once again secured a massive win.”

Thanking the people of Punjab, he said, “I want to wholeheartedly congratulate and thank the people of Punjab for placing such immense trust in the Aam Aadmi Party and in the work being done by the party. In a way, the people of Punjab have endorsed and appreciated the good work of the Aam Aadmi Party, telling us that we are doing well and should continue. Some people used to say that the Aam Aadmi Party was weak in urban areas. Today it has been proven that the party is very strong in cities as well and is working strongly there. Urban voters have as much faith in the Aam Aadmi Party as people in rural areas.”

The AAP Chief asserted, “The ED Party used to claim that it was strong in urban areas. Today it has become clear that the ED Party has been completely wiped out from the cities. Especially after the way the ED was used in recent days to conduct raids against small traders across Punjab and harass ordinary traders and Hindu businesspersons, the people have taken revenge against the ED Party and completely wiped it out across Punjab.”

Arvind Kejriwal once again congratulated the people of Punjab and assured them that CM Bhagwant Singh Mann will continue the good work he is doing. The people should simply continue to shower their love and trust.

Meanwhile, Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann stated on X, “The people of Punjab have once again endorsed the work of the AAP government. After the Assembly elections, Lok Sabha elections, panchayat elections and now the municipal corporation and municipal council elections too, the AAP has registered a huge victory. Our candidates have won in more than 90% of the municipal councils.”

The Chief Minister pointed out, “Even if the combined votes of all opposition parties including Congress, Shiromani Akali Dal and the BJP are added together, they still do not match the Aam Aadmi Party. The BJP has slipped to the fifth position.”

“This victory belongs to free electricity for the people, Aam Aadmi Clinics, excellent schools and jobs being provided transparently. Congratulations to all the winning candidates and party workers. There will now be no discrimination. Every city, town and village will witness equal development. We are people who believe in positive and development-oriented politics,” the post concluded.

Meanwhile, AAP Punjab Prabhari Manish Sisodia thanked the people of Punjab and said, “The Aam Aadmi Party has registered a massive victory in Punjab’s urban local body elections. This victory is the people’s message that they are happy with the work of the Bhagwant Singh Mann government. It is also a message that the people of Punjab do not accept the dirty politics of the ED Party. The deposits of 1,142 candidates of the ED Party have been forfeited in Punjab. The politics of fear, hatred and betrayal practiced by the ED Party does not work in Punjab.”

Manish Sisodia further said, “This is not just an electoral victory. It is a clear message from the people of Punjab that they will not stand with politics of betrayal and deceit. They will stand with honesty and with politics focused on work.”

On the other hand, AAP Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj said, “The results of the Punjab civic elections have once again proven that people always stand against injustice. Whenever someone faces injustice and attempts are made to suppress them, people unite in their support. For the past two months, the ED has virtually camped in Punjab. First, raids were conducted at the homes of our MPs, after which some joined the BJP out of fear or temptation. Despite this, raids are continuously being carried out at the homes of our ministers, MLAs and in government offices. ED action is taking place at two or three places almost every week.”

Saurabh Bharadwaj added, “The people of Punjab are watching how the BJP government at the Centre is entirely focused on destroying the Aam Aadmi Party. That is the reason why the people of Punjab have now firmly stood with the Aam Aadmi Party.”

AAP Records Historic Victory in Punjab Municipal Elections

CM Mann

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Friday declared the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s sweeping victory in the municipal elections as a decisive endorsement of the Punjab Government’s development-driven governance model and a complete rejection of the opposition’s politics of hatred, division and negativity. Stating that Punjabis had “swept out” the Congress, Shiromani Akali Dal and BJP, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said the verdict reflected people’s faith in free electricity, quality education, better and free healthcare, employment generation and other public welfare initiatives.

Pointing to AAP’s dominance across Punjab, including its emphatic victory in Dhuri where the party won 19 of 21 seats, he said the results had reduced the BJP, which he called the “ED Party”, to fifth position and sent a clear message that Punjab was firmly backing the politics of performance. The Chief Minister asserted that the mandate was also an indication that the AAP was on course to surpass its historic 2022 Assembly election performance in 2027, while assuring that every city, town and pind in Punjab would witness equal development without any discrimination.

Addressing a press conference, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “The people of Punjab have shown the door to communal forces and have given a resounding verdict in favour of secularism and the Aam Aadmi Party. Despite the scorching heat, people came out to vote for safeguarding democracy, which is a very encouraging sign.”

Highlighting the party’s electoral performance over the last four years, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said that people from every section of society have consistently stood with the AAP and its policies. “AAP won more than 11,000 panchayat seats out of nearly 13,000. The by-elections to the Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat, four Vidhan Sabha seats, Zila Parishads, Block Samitis, and now Nagar Councils and Nagar Panchayats have all demonstrated that public support for the AAP continues to grow,” he said.

The Chief Minister said the combined strength of opposition parties had failed to match the support received by the AAP. “Congress, the Shiromani Akali Dal and the BJP, which I call the ED party, together could not even reach the number of seats won by the AAP. The people have completely rejected their negative and divisive agenda. Even in urban areas, which the BJP considers its traditional vote base, voters have decisively rejected them,” he stated.

Referring to the BJP’s performance, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “The BJP could not save its deposits on more than 1,000 seats. Despite creating so much hype, it has ended up in fifth position in these elections. In many places, even independent candidates have won more seats than the BJP. It appeared as though the BJP was competing only with NOTA.”

The Chief Minister said that the AAP had secured a sweeping mandate in the elections and thanked party karyakartas for their tireless efforts.. “These results have made it clear that the path for the AAP in 2027 is becoming stronger. The people have also taught a lesson to those who tried to misuse the ED and central agencies to harass AAP leaders and workers,” he said.

Commenting on former AAP Rajya Sabha members who left the party, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Those who chose to backstab the party have received an answer from the people. They should look within and reflect on what they have achieved because the people of Punjab have rejected them.”

Citing constituency-wise results, the Chief Minister said the verdict reflected strong support for the AAP across Punjab. “In Gidderbaha, the home turf of the Punjab Congress president, the AAP won 17 out of 19 seats. In Barnala, associated with the newly appointed Punjab BJP chief, the BJP was nowhere in the picture while the AAP won 37 out of 50 seats,” he said.

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the support for the party’s policies was visible across all regions of the state. “From my own Dhuri Assembly segment, the AAP has won 19 out of 21 seats. Opposition parties may have registered victories in isolated pockets, but the AAP has won across Doaba, Majha and Malwa. People have voted for free electricity, Aam Aadmi Clinics, daytime power supply for farmers, quality school education and other public welfare initiatives.”

The Chief Minister said the scale of the victory reflected broad support from every section of society. “Everyone has voted for the AAP, which is why the party has won more than 90 per cent of the seats. Congress and the Akali Dal may continue their old habit of complaining after defeat, but they should accept the people’s verdict with grace. In many places, they were not even able to find candidates to contest,” he remarked.

Calling the elections the beginning of a larger political journey, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “These results are only the beginning. The AAP will continue to strengthen its position and win more seats in the Assembly elections. By God’s grace, Sunil Jakhar left his post at the right time. Raja Warring, meanwhile, will have some difficult questions to answer when his party leadership meets in Delhi.”

Responding to a question on Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu’s conduct during polling, the Chief Minister said, “The theatrics witnessed on polling day were unnecessary and undesirable. Such behaviour does not suit a person holding a constitutional position.”

On concerns raised about voting systems, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Some parties object to both ballot papers and EVMs whenever they lose. The Election Commission of India should clear the air by dispelling misconceptions surrounding EVMs.”

Thanking the people for the overwhelming mandate, the Chief Minister said the victory would inspire the government to work with even greater dedication. “This win has filled us with humility and gratitude. We will continue serving the people of Punjab with full missionary zeal and commitment,” he added.

AAP’s Landslide Victory in Municipal Elections; Manish Sisodia says, Across Punjab, people have sent clear message: They appreciate good governance & are satisfied with AAP Gov’t work

Punjab new

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab celebrated a sweeping victory in the municipal corporation and municipal council elections across the state, with party leaders describing the results as a resounding endorsement of the welfare-oriented governance and development agenda of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government led by CM Bhagwant Singh Mann. Jubilant scenes were witnessed at the party’s Punjab headquarters as leaders, karyakartas and supporters gathered to celebrate the historic mandate received from the people.

As election trends began favouring AAP from the morning itself, party karyakartas started arriving at the party office in large numbers. The atmosphere turned festive as workers danced to the beats of dhol, distributed laddoos and congratulated one another on the party’s impressive performance across Punjab.

AAP Punjab Prabhari Manish Sisodia, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal and Punjab Media In-charge Baltej Pannu were present during the celebrations. Several senior leaders, MLAs and office-bearers also joined the victory gathering.

The leaders thanked the people of Punjab for their overwhelming support and stated that the results reflected the public’s confidence in the policies and development works undertaken by the Punjab Government. They said that with AAP now receiving the mandate in municipal bodies as well, the pace of urban development across Punjab would accelerate further.

Addressing party karyakartas and supporters, AAP Punjab Prabhari Manish Sisodia expressed gratitude to the people of the state and said, “I thank the people of Punjab for these results. The people of Punjab have given a very strong message today. They have showered immense respect, blessings and support on Arvind Kejriwal and CM Bhagwant Singh Mann.”

He added, “The people have made it clear that they appreciate Arvind Kejriwal’s model of honest politics and the way CM Bhagwant Singh Mann is working for the welfare and development of Punjab.”

Recalling the party’s earlier success in local body elections, Manish Sisodia said, “Some time ago, when district panchayat elections were held in Punjab, the people in villages gave a one-sided victory to the Aam Aadmi Party. Now, in the municipal corporation and municipal council elections, especially the people living in cities have also sent a clear message that they are satisfied with and appreciate the public welfare works being carried out by our government.”

Highlighting the achievements of the Punjab Government, Manish Sisodia said, “The revolutionary steps taken by the Bhagwant Mann Government in the fields of electricity, water, employment, education and healthcare have now received the people’s stamp of approval.”

He said the election results had delivered two clear messages. “The first message is that the people of Punjab have extended their support to the development works being undertaken by CM Bhagwant Singh Mann. The second message is directed at the BJP and its politics of vendetta. The aware and conscious voters of Punjab have shown that there is no place on Punjab’s soil for such politics. The people rejected the BJP so decisively in these elections that 1,142 of its candidates even lost their deposits.”

Looking ahead to the 2027 Assembly elections, Manish Sisodia said, “Our party and CM Bhagwant Singh Mann are working with complete dedication, commitment and honesty to secure a historic mandate in the 2027 Assembly elections. Although there is still time left for those elections, all the newly elected mayors and councillors who have won these municipal corporation and council elections will strengthen Mann Sahib’s hands at the grassroots level.”

TheAAP Punjab Prabhari affirmed, “Together, we will further accelerate the pace of Punjab’s development, strengthen governance at every level and once again hoist the flag of victory in Punjab in 2027.”

Bhagwant Mann’s Govt Strengthens Healthcare In Punjab, Mobile Medical Unit Starts in Patiala

In a big step towards grassroots healthcare, the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government has launched a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) in Patiala, bringing essential medical services directly to the doorsteps of the citizens in rural and underserved areas.

The unit was flagged off at village Majri Akaliyan in Patiala by Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Balbir Singh, with support from Fusion Finance Ltd. and implemented by HelpAge India. The move reiterates the state government’s commitment to provide critical care to patients, especially the elderly and economically weaker sections, within the golden hour.

What the MMU Provides

It is a fully equipped medical van offering a complete package of services free of charge, including consultations with qualified MBBS doctors, multiple diagnostic tests and a wide range of free medicines. Special emphasis is laid on the senior citizens, women and patients in remote villages who face problems in reaching hospitals on their own. If you are unable to travel, home visits can also be arranged.

A Growing Network

This Patiala unit adds to the expanding MMU fleet of Punjab. Currently, there are over 66 Mobile Medical Units working across the state – supported by The Hans Foundation, National Health Mission (NHM) and corporate CSR partners. These units have a massive on-ground impact as reflected in the fact that from April 2024 to January 2025, these units treated 4.40 lakh patients through OPD services and conducted 1.39 lakh diagnostic tests.

Part of a Bigger Mission

The MMU launch is a piece of a much bigger jig-saw of healthcare that the Bhagwant Mann government is putting together. Aam Aadmi Clinics have treated more than 2.86 crore people, saving Punjabis over Rs 1,500 crore in out-of-pocket expenses. The Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana is saving families from crippling medical debt, and new medical colleges are being established at Lehragaga and Mastuana Sahib to promote specialist care in Punjab.

The Mann government has deployed every van and opened every clinic, and the message is clear: distance and poverty will no longer be obstacles to healthcare in Punjab.

Madhya Pradesh achieved a major milestone as Dindori district stood first and Khandwa second in the country under the central Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan. Dindori has constructed over 1.23 lakh water conservation structures – the highest in the country – and Khandwa has built more than 87,000. The performance of these two districts was a major factor in Madhya Pradesh’s overall national ranking.

Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan: The Story Behind the Numbers

Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav inaugurated the third phase of Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan on Gudi Padwa, on March 19, 2026, at the ISKCON Temple in Indore to conserve and manage water in all 55 districts of Madhya Pradesh, including rivers, ponds, dams, and other water sources. Over 1.91 lakh water conservation works have been completed since the launch of the campaign. The state has sanctioned more than ₹10,666 crore for the campaign, and more than ₹6,293 crore has been spent.

The campaign is developing various structures such as farm ponds, recharge pits, Amrit Sarovars, recharge shafts, borewell recharge systems and rooftop harvesting systems in rural and urban areas.

2.79 Lakh Structures and Still Counting

The campaign launched in 2024 has so far revived, restored and strengthened over 2.79 lakh water structures across the state, including wells, stepwells, ponds, check dams and other water conservation systems. More than 2.44 lakh works have been identified, and around ₹6,236 crore worth of projects are in the ground now.

Mohan Yadav’s Vision: Model State on Water Security

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that the success of the water conservation efforts needs public participation, and the campaign is making traditional practices a structured mass movement. “Water security is important for the future of Madhya Pradesh and all the citizens have to join the movement for the protection of water resources,” he said. The new phase integrates traditional conservation practices with modern technology and innovation, including AI-based planning tools and SIPRI software, to improve water structure management and engage communities.

From Bold Vision to Ground Reality — Bhagwant Mann Has Set New Standards in Punjab, Ready for Term 2 to Finish the Unfinished Agenda

Bhagwant- Mann

Bhagwant Mann: When the Aam Aadmi Party won 92 out of the 117 seats in the 2022 Punjab Legislative Assembly election, and Bhagwant Mann took oath as Chief Minister on March 16, 2022, sceptics called it a fluke. Four years later, the numbers tell a different story. Four years on, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said the AAP government has fulfilled all the guarantees given to the people through a “politics of work”.

65,000 Jobs, No Bribery

Employment is the most tangible measure of any government. In four years, 65,264 government jobs were provided for the first time in the history of Punjab, including 16,308 in education, 12,966 in the Punjab Police, 8,765 in the power department, 6,320 in health and medical education and 5,771 in local government.

Education Revolution: Punjab beats Kerala, tops India

Perhaps Mann’s greatest claim to fame is his transformation of the government schools. Ahead of Kerala, Punjab has emerged as the top state in the National Achievement Survey 2024, while the government has allocated a budget of ₹19,279 crore for education in 2026–27, a jump of 7 per cent from the previous year, and launched the second phase of its Education Revolution with ₹3,500 crore in partnership with the World Bank.

1,000 Aam Aadmi Clinics And Rs 10 Lakh Cover

Punjab’s healthcare expansion reached a milestone with the setting up of close to 990 Aam Aadmi Clinics in four years, with plans to extend the network to nearly 1,500. Patients visiting these centres can avail of 107 medicines and 47 diagnostic tests free of cost, and the clinics have recorded more than 5 crore outpatient visits so far.

Free power, farmer relief, Rs 1.55-lakh crore investment

Bhagwant Mann: Some important welfare schemes introduced are free electricity to households, daytime power supply to farmers, canal irrigation to 78 per cent of fields, a monthly stipend of ₹1,000 for women and the Sadak Surakhya Force that cut down road accident deaths by over 50 per cent.

With the clock ticking for the 2027 elections, Bhagwant Mann’s Punjab story is far from over.

This time, on behalf of the people of the state, I humbly pay my tributes to him.

The Messiah whose vision guides India still

The nation remembers him as a pioneer of land reforms, the architect of the land ceiling law and a staunch advocate of rural development and farmers’ welfare.

A Life Dedicated to Indian Soil

Chaudhary Charan Singh was born on December 23, 1902. As he grew up, he saw the plight of India’s peasantry up close, and this inspired him to spend the rest of his life fighting for farmers. His political career was marked by landmark legislations like Uttar Pradesh Zamindari Abolition and Land Reforms Act, 1950 and Consolidation of Holdings Act of 1953, which resulted in abolition of exploitative zamindari system in the state. He was the Prime Minister of India from July 1979 to January 1980 and was the first non-Congress Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in 1967.

Bharat Ratna and a Living Legacy

The Bharat Ratna, the nation’s highest civilian honour, was conferred on Charan Singh posthumously by President Droupadi Murmu in 2024, in an extremely emotional moment for the entire nation. In the Viral Video couple’s story turned dark after Gunjan achieved what Aman had sacrificed everything for. Kumar claimed that Gunjan started living separately and also lied about going on a Darjeeling trip with fellow teachers.

The Moment That Broke Everything

Not only did Gunjan walk away from her husband — she walked away from their child too. Bhagwant Mann: Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann launched the ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ campaign with one single mission – to make Punjab a drug-free state. What started as an intense crackdown has now become one of the longest and most consistent anti-narcotics operations in the history of Indian policing, with the Punjab Police carrying out raids every single day across all 28 police districts of the state without pause.

Day 453: 935g Heroin Recovered, 50 Held The Punjab Police’s anti-drug drive ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ continued for the 453rd consecutive day today with the arrest of 50 smugglers and the recovery of 935 grams of heroin along with intoxicant tablets, capsules and drug money from their possession. The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Punjab supervised simultaneous raids in several districts, in accordance with the daily intelligence-led strategy of the campaign.

Staggering Scale: More than 60,000 Smugglers Detained

The totals tell of ongoing enforcement. The number of drug smugglers arrested under the campaign has touched 59,476 on Day 413 alone, indicating the scale and consistency of the state’s efforts against narcotics. In the first six months, police registered 17,957 First Information Reports (FIRs) and arrested 27,796 drug traffickers, confiscating 1,129 kilograms of heroin and substantial quantities of opium, poppy husk, ganja, and crystal methamphetamine.

Rehabilitation, not only arrests

The strength of the campaign is in its two-pronged attack. The Punjab government has formed a five-member Cabinet Sub-Committee under Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema to monitor the war against drugs. During each raid, police teams have also been motivating individuals to undergo de-addiction and rehabilitation programmes, underlining the government’s approach to mix tough action against traffickers with compassionate recovery support for addicts.

Bhagwant Mann’s vision for a drug-free Punjab. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has directed Police Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and Senior Superintendents of Police across Punjab to make the state drug-free. With each passing day, with each new seizure, that vision becomes a little more real, one arrest at a time.
