Bhagwant Mann Government Flags Off Pilgrims Under CM Teerth Yatra Scheme, Promotes Social Harmony

The Aam Aadmi Party-led Bhagwant Mann government in Punjab continues to strengthen its welfare outreach for senior citizens through the Chief Minister’s Teerth Yatra Scheme. On Monday, Cabinet Minister Hardip Mundian flagged off a bus carrying pilgrims from village Kasabad under the scheme.

Bhagwant Mann Government Flags Off Pilgrims Under CM Teerth Yatra Scheme

The initiative aims to provide free pilgrimage visits to religious places for senior citizens, ensuring that elderly residents can fulfil their spiritual aspirations without any financial burden. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said the Mann government is committed to taking special care of senior citizens and respecting their faith by facilitating free and well-organised religious journeys.

Promotes Social Harmony

A key feature of the scheme is its inclusive nature, allowing people from all religions to travel together. The government said this not only supports spiritual well-being but also strengthens communal harmony and social unity in the state.

The state government has stated that the Chief Minister’s Teerth Yatra Scheme is being implemented in a phased manner across districts to ensure maximum reach. Villages and urban areas alike are being covered so that senior citizens from all backgrounds can benefit from the initiative.

Officials also highlighted that the scheme plays an important role in promoting interfaith understanding, as pilgrims from different religious communities travel together, share experiences, and build bonds during the journey. This collective participation reflects Punjab’s long-standing tradition of unity and mutual respect.

The Mann government has reiterated its commitment to expanding welfare schemes focused on senior citizens, stating that such initiatives are not just about service delivery but about acknowledging the contributions of elders to society. Further batches of pilgrims are expected to be flagged off in the coming days from different parts of the state.

Officials added that the government makes comprehensive arrangements for travel, accommodation, and basic facilities to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for elderly pilgrims. Medical assistance and support staff are also provided during the journey.

The Mann government reiterated that the Teerth Yatra Scheme reflects its people-centric governance model, where welfare initiatives focus on dignity, respect, and emotional well-being. By encouraging shared travel across faiths, the scheme is also being seen as a step towards reinforcing Punjab’s tradition of brotherhood and social cohesion.

‘Ek Do Mulkon Ke Gangster…’ Kapil Sharma Realises THIS Too Late After Taking Indirect Dig At Lawrence Bishnoi, Check Video!

Kapil Sharma Takes Subtle Dig at Lawrence Bishnoi at Netflix Event

Kapil Sharma grabbed attention once again after a casual joke at Netflix’s What’s Next event in Mumbai sparked massive online buzz. The Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 actor made an on-stage remark that many viewers took as an indirect dig at gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. While the audience laughed instantly, the moment soon turned awkward when the comedian realised the sensitivity of his comment.

The incident occurred during Sharma’s interaction with Netflix India CEO Monika Shergill. Praising his long association with the streaming platform, Shergill jokingly said, “Hamari nazar, India ki nazar toh bahut time se aap par hai, Kapil. Hopefully 11 mulko ki police ki nazar nahi hone chahiye.”

Kapil Sharma Responds, Video Goes Viral

Kapil Sharma responded without missing a beat. He replied, “Ek do mulkon ke gangster bhi lage hue hai aaj kal.” The line drew loud laughter from the audience and was quickly seen as a tongue-in-cheek reference to recent controversies linked to Lawrence Bishnoi.

However, Sharma soon appeared to realise that the joke could be risky. He asked the media to cut the line from their coverage. The situation became even funnier when he realised the event was being streamed live. His reaction was also caught on camera by paps.

Clips from the event were soon shared widely on social media. The video spread fast and triggered mixed reactions. One user commented, “Bhai kyun mrityu ka aahvahan kar rhe ho.” Another wrote, “Ab toh gaye.”

Past Attacks Linked To Kapil Sharma’s Cafe

The viral moment also brought back focus on the serious incidents connected to the cafe owned by Kapil Sharma in Canada. Last year, his cafe in Surrey was targeted in three separate shooting incidents.

The first attack took place on July 10, when around 10 bullets were fired at the cafe’s windows while staff members were inside. Harjit Singh Laddi, a National Investigation Agency (NIA) most-wanted operative linked to Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), claimed responsibility. He reportedly cited Sharma’s “humorous” remarks about Nihang Sikhs as the reason.

A second attack followed in August 2025. Multiple shots were fired again, and this time gangsters Goldy Dhillon and Kuldeep Sidhu (said to be associates of Lawrence Bishnoi) claimed responsibility. A video warning also surfaced, stating that the next move would be in Mumbai if Sharma ignored their calls.

The situation worsened on October 16, 2025, when a third shooting was reported. As per reports, a gunman fired at least 12 rounds from a moving vehicle at Kaps Cafe in Surrey. Once again, the Bishnoi gang allegedly claimed responsibility.

Coming to the Netflix event, Kapil’s The Great Indian Kapil Show has been renewed for Season 5, which was confirmed on this occasion.

Epstein Files: Gangs of Wasseypur Director Anurag Kashyap has been named in the recently-released Jeffrey Epstein files. The freshly released file also named prominent Indian actress Nandita Das.

According to an article in Financial Express, the Bollywood filmmaker’s name was mentioned in an email series related to Jeffrey Epstein, a serial sex offender.

Epstein Files-Anurag Kashyap & Nandita Das

The mention of Anurag Kashyap was due to a listing as a possible speaker or guest in an event. However, it was not clear whether Kashyap attended the event or directly communicated with Jeffrey Epstein.

On the other hand, the name of Nandita Das was linked to a 2015 UK event invitation known as the Lake District Festival that included activities such as kayaking and yoga. The name of Nandita Das appeared only in the context of an event invite.

Anil Ambani and Jeffrey Epstein Connection

According to an article appearing in the Deccan Herald, Reliance Group Chairman Anil Ambani may have met with Jeffrey Epstein on May 23, 2019. After this, Epstein messaged Steve Bannon, the former White House Chief Strategist, that he had met the guy of Indian PM Narendra Modi.

According to latest files released by the United States Department of Justice (DoJ), it seems that Epstein connected Ambani with former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak before Modi’s first visit to Israel.

According to text messages sent to Epstein, Ambani wanted to meet Steve Bannon and Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of Donald Trump. The contours of Epstein and Ambani’s equation were outlined by a series of emails and chats exchanged for more than 2 years.

From high-profile Bollywood films and popular series to reality shows and regional originals, the platform is expanding across genres and languages.

With more than 20 new and returning titles announced, Netflix is targeting audiences of all kinds. Big stars, well-known filmmakers, and familiar franchises sit alongside fresh ideas. As a result, 2026 is expected to be a busy and exciting year for subscribers.

Here is a simple breakdown of what Netflix has planned.

Big Films Lead Upcoming Netflix Releases 2026

One of the most awaited titles is Ikka. The legal thriller reunites Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna almost 30 years after Border. Directed by Siddharth P Malhotra, the film follows an honest lawyer who is forced to defend a murder accused whose career he once ruined. With Tillotama Shome and Dia Mirza also part of the cast, Ikka promises a tense courtroom drama driven by strong performances.

Another major attraction is Lust Stories 3. The anthology returns with four new segments directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, Kiran Rao, Shakun Batra and Vikramaditya Motwane. The cast includes Aditi Rao Hydari, Radhika Apte, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, Radhika Madan and Vijay Varma.

Upcoming Netflix releases 2026 also include Hum Hindustani, a period drama set in post-partition India and starring Saif Ali Khan and Pratik Gandhi. Maa Behen pairs Madhuri Dixit with Triptii Dimri in a crime comedy about a mother and daughter trying to cover up a shocking incident. Manoj Bajpayee headlines Ghooskhor Pandat, playing a corrupt police officer in a thriller that unfolds over a single night.

Other films to watch out for are Kartavya (featuring Saif Ali Khan) as a cop under threat, Gandhari (with Taapsee Pannu in a revenge-driven role) and Toaster (starring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra).

Series, Reality Shows And Regional Expansions

Beyond films, the upcoming Netflix releases 2026 lineup is equally strong on the series front. Hansal Mehta’s Family Business stars Anil Kapoor and Vijay Varma in a corporate family drama. Legacy features R Madhavan as an ageing gangster trying to protect his empire.

Crime drama fans can look forward to Kohrra Season 2, which returns on February 11, with Mona Singh and Barun Sobti. Comedy remains a priority, with The Great Indian Kapil Show coming back for Season 5 and Maamla Legal Hai Season 2 continuing its courtroom humour.

For fans of unscripted shows, LockUpp returns for a second season on Netflix, while Desi Bling offers a glamorous reality format inspired by Dubai Bling (starring Karan Kundrra and Tejasswi Prakash).

Younger audiences will see the final chapter of Mismatched Season 4. New shows like Chumbak (featuring Arjun Bijlani and Neena Gupta) and Yeh Dil Sunn Raha Hai (featuring Shaheer Shaikh and Mohit Malik)add more comedy and romance to the mix.

Netflix is also strengthening its regional presence. Super Subbu becomes its first Telugu original series, starring Sundeep Kishan. Big South Indian acquisitions such as Suriya 46, Kara starring Dhanush and Karthi’s Marshal further highlight this push.

T20 World Cup Boycott: ‘No One Will Miss Them’! Pakistan Being Unfair To Its Own Players, Says Kapil Dev Nikhanj

T20 World Cup Boycott

T20 World Cup Boycott: India’s 1983 World Cup cricket captain Kapil Dev Nikhanj has remarked that Pakistan is hurting its own cricket by boycotting the ICC T20 World Cup to be held in India and Sri Lanka.

Recently, the Pakistani government gave its go-ahead to the Cricket Team for the tournament but added that the Pakistani team would not play the February 15 match against India.

T20 World Cup Boycott-Reaction of Kapil Dev

Kapil Dev remarked things are not looking good for Pakistan. Dev remarked the Pakistan government’s decision to skip the crucial India match would kill the generation.

Kapil, one of India’s greatest fast bowlers and all-rounders, remarked Pakistan has given the game many fantastic talents but it is only hurting the game while being unfair to its own players by skipping the Indian match.

Kapil went on to remark that Pakistan may end up being isolated and forgotten soon. The Indian legend further commented that no one would miss them in the long run as people would simply move on.

Kamran Akmal’s Reaction

Former Pakistani cricketer Kamran Akmal has blasted the International Cricket Council (ICC) after it urged the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to reconsider their decision to boycott the match against India.

Akmal asked was the ICC sleeping when India decided not to play matches in Pakistan during the Asia Cup or the Champions Trophy.

PCB Not To Sell PSL Media Rights To India

PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi has announced that Pakistan would not sell media rights of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) to India. This decision can significantly limit the global reach of PSL while severely impacting its revenue potential in the short as well as the long run.

The PSL would be played from March 26 to May 3 while the Indian Premier League (IPL) would be played from March 26 to May 31.

If the ICC decides to punish Pakistan for its last-minute boycott of the match against India, it can recover the losses from the Rs. 350 crore that PCB gets from ICC as its annual revenue that is 80 percent of the Pakistani board’s annual earnings. This would mean Pakistan Cricket Board would be unable to pay even the salaries of administrators and its cricketers.

India-US Trade Deal: Farmers Interest Intact! Here’s How India Ensured Protection for Agriculture and Dairy

India US Trade Deal
Google

India US Trade Deal: Trade agreements with major economies like the United States often raise concerns in India, especially about their impact on farmers. As India–US trade talks gain attention, questions around the safety of the agriculture and dairy sectors have resurfaced.

Why Agriculture and Dairy Are Sensitive Sectors for India

India US Trade Deal: Agriculture and dairy are vital to India’s rural livelihoods and food security. Most Indian farmers are small and marginal landholders, while dairy farming is mainly household-based and supported by cooperatives.

India’s Firm Stand on Dairy Imports

Access to India’s dairy market was a key issue in the India–US trade talks. India firmly stated that US dairy products would not get duty-free entry and that Indian quality, safety, and cultural standards would remain unchanged.

Safeguards Against Cheap Agricultural Imports

US agriculture benefits from heavy government subsidies, which allow its products to be sold at lower international prices.

To prevent this, India ensured:

  • No sudden or unrestricted entry of US agricultural goods
  • Protective tariffs and safeguard mechanisms remain intact
  • Domestic farmers are shielded from price volatility

Food Security Remained a Core Priority

For India, agriculture is closely linked to national food security. Feeding a population of over one billion people requires policy flexibility and strong domestic production systems.

During negotiations, India defended:

  • Public stockholding of food grains
  • Support mechanisms for farmers
  • The right to intervene during emergencies

Balanced Trade Over Market Pressure

Instead of opening sensitive sectors, India adopted a balanced trade approach by focusing on technology sharing, investment in agricultural infrastructure, and promoting knowledge exchange and innovation.

What the Trade Deal Means for Indian Farmers?

The outcome of the India–US trade discussions provides reassurance to India’s farming community.

  • Farmers’ livelihoods remain protected
  • Dairy cooperatives continue to operate without foreign pressure
  • Policy stability ensures long-term confidence in the sector

Mardaani 3 Box Office Collection Day 5: Rani Mukerji’s Cop Film Crosses Rs 20 Cr Mark Amid Underwhelming Run – Will It Affect Alia Bhatt Starrer Alpha?

Mardaani 3 Box Office Collection Day 5: Mardaani 3 has crossed the Rs 20 cr mark at the Indian box office by Day 5, but the pace has slowed noticeably during the weekdays. After a decent opening weekend, the Rani Mukerji-led cop thriller is now struggling to maintain momentum, raising concerns about its long-term theatrical run.

The muted performance has also sparked fresh discussion around Yash Raj Films’ upcoming female-led action project, Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt. While the Mardaani franchise enjoys strong recall, the third instalment appears to be losing audience interest faster than expected.

This trend reflects a wider shift in audience behaviour, especially for intense, content-driven films that rely heavily on weekend footfalls.

Mardaani 3 Box Office Collection Day 5

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Mardaani 3 collected Rs 2.50 cr net on Day 5 (Tuesday). With this, the film’s total India net collection stands at around Rs 22.25 cr after five days in theatres.

The film opened on January 30 with Rs 4 cr on Day 1. Collections improved over the weekend, with Rs 6.25 cr on Saturday and a peak of Rs 7.25 cr on Sunday. However, the momentum dropped sharply once the weekdays began. Monday saw earnings fall to Rs 2.25 cr, and Tuesday remained flat, showing no real growth in footfalls.

On Tuesday (February 3), the film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 20.72%, pointing to low weekday turnout. While the numbers are not alarming, they are below expectations for a franchise film backed by a major studio.

The weekday slowdown follows a familiar pattern. Films with serious themes often see strong weekend traction but struggle to hold audiences once the initial buzz fades. Despite praise for Rani Mukerji’s performance and the film’s intense narrative, this appreciation has not translated into sustained box office growth.

Competition has also played a role. Sunny Deol‘s Border 2 continue to dominate screens, limiting Mardaani 3’s reach. As a result, the film is trailing behind recent commercial entertainers that are enjoying longer theatrical runs.

Will its Underwhelming Run Affect Alpha?

The softer box office performance of Mardaani 3 has raised questions about the future of YRF’s female-led action film Alpha. The uncertainty has grown after the reported underperformance of War 2, which affected confidence in the Spy Universe.

Alia Bhatt starrer Alpha was initially planned for a Christmas 2025 release. It was later pushed to April 17, 2026, to allow more time for VFX work. However, the film was postponed again in December 2025 to avoid a clash with Salman Khan’s Battle of Galwan. Yash Raj Films has yet to announce a new release date.

Industry buzz suggests that Alpha could now head directly to OTT. Sources say Aditya Chopra was counting on Mardaani 3 to strengthen the female-led action space and set the stage for Alpha as a solo action outing for Alia Bhatt. With Mardaani 3 failing to meet expectations and the Spy Universe facing setbacks, the project is reportedly on hold for now.

Ghaziabad News: School Absence, Isolation, Online Games linked to 3 Children Death—Key Red Flags Parents Must Act On

Ghaziabad News
Google

Ghaziabad News: A devastating incident in Ghaziabad has brought renewed attention to the risks of excessive online gaming among minors. Three sisters, aged 12, 14 and 16, died after jumping from their ninth-floor apartment in the early hours of February 4. The case has shocked residents and sparked a wider discussion on children’s mental health, digital exposure and parental awareness.

Online Gaming Was the Focus of the Investigation

Police investigations indicate that the sisters were heavily engaged with a task-based online game, which they had reportedly been playing for several years. According to officials, a dispute over restrictions on gaming preceded the incident. A note recovered from the scene referred to the game as central to their lives, while digital evidence is being examined to understand the structure and influence of the platform involved.

Authorities are analysing mobile phones, online activity and communication patterns to determine whether the game encouraged harmful behaviour or reinforced emotional dependency.

School Absence and Behavioural Changes Noted

Ghaziabad News: One of the key concerns highlighted by investigators is irregular school attendance. Officials said the sisters had been missing classes frequently, a pattern often associated with excessive screen time. Neighbours and relatives also indicated that the children had gradually reduced social interaction, spending long hours indoors and disengaging from routine activities.

Experts note that such behavioural shifts—when combined with secrecy around device use—can indicate deeper psychological stress.

A Wake-Up Call for Parents: Warning Signs You Should Watch For

Child psychologists stress that warning signs of gaming-related distress often include social isolation, irritability when access to devices is restricted, disrupted sleep cycles and declining academic interest. Using games as an emotional escape, especially in adolescence, can increase vulnerability if not addressed early.

Delhi News: No Respite? Poor AQI, Foggy, Smoggy Conditions Signal Trouble, Air, Train Traffic Impacted, Check Forecast

Delhi News
Google

Delhi News: Delhi is witnessing persistent poor air quality with no immediate relief in sight as dense fog and smog continue to blanket the national capital. As of early February, the Air Quality Index remains in the poor range, causing discomfort for residents and raising concerns for vulnerable groups.

Several monitoring stations across the city have recorded AQI levels between 210 and 265, while a few localities have slipped into the very poor category, touching levels close to 370.

Weather Conditions Trap Pollutants

Delhi News: According to weather assessments, cold temperatures and stagnant winds are worsening pollution levels. Minimum temperatures have hovered between seven and eleven degrees Celsius, while daytime highs remain modest at seventeen to twenty-two degrees Celsius.

The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for dense fog, with visibility dropping to fifty to two hundred meters during early morning and late-night hours. Light southwest winds and partly cloudy skies have failed to disperse pollutants effectively.

This year’s February pollution levels are worse than usual, as seasonal wind shifts that normally improve air quality have been delayed.

Transport Services Face Disruptions

The combination of fog and smog has started affecting transportation across Delhi and the National Capital Region. Low visibility conditions have slowed rail movement, with patterns similar to past episodes where over one hundred trains faced long delays.

Air traffic has also remained cautious, with fog-related visibility issues impacting flight schedules during early morning hours. While large-scale cancellations have not been officially reported, delays remain a concern for commuters.

Forecast Brings Hope of Gradual Improvement

Meteorological projections suggest a gradual improvement in air quality starting around February five or six. Rising temperatures and stronger winds are expected to increase the ventilation index, allowing pollutants to disperse.

Balochistan News: Asim Munir’s ‘Jugular Vein’ Comment Comes Back To Stare Him Hard, Shehbaz Sharif Govt Unable To Quell Baloch Rebels, Check Latest Update

Balochistan News

Balochistan News: The tall claims often made by Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir over Kashmir have come under the scanner. In one of the most devastating and coordinated attacks, the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has struck a series of lethal attack on the Pakistani armed forces.

Balochistan News-Herof 2

The BLA recently launched coordinated attacks and bombings, referring it to as ‘Herof 2’ or the ‘black storm’. Synchronized bombings and gun atatcks struck the cities of Panjgur, Gwadar, Pasni, Turbat, Mastung, Dalbandin, Kalat, Kharan, Quetta, Noshki, Mangochar, Lasbela, Kech, Tump, Buleda and Awaran.

BLA carried out a series of suicide bombings to target police, civilians, paramilitary and military installations in the country. Heavily armed BLA rebels attacked multiple police mobile units and stations. They also struck a series of key arterial roads, camps housing migrant workers and a coast guard post in Pasni. BLA rebels also planted explosives on a Nasirabad railway line while shutting down highways in Qila Saifullah-Rakhni, Lak Pass and Bolan.

In a post on X, Foreign policy expert Michael Kugelman remarked the recent BLA attacks on Pakistani armed forces should serve as a wakeup call to the United States.

Asim Munir’s ‘Jugular Vein’ Comment

Pakistani Army Chief often refers to Kashmir as the ‘Jugular Vein’ of Pakistan, saying Kashmir is an integral part of Pakistan. Asim Munir had repeatedly defended the two-nation theory and had often claimed that Hindus and Muslims are two completely different sections.

Jugular vein refers to a large neck vein that transports blood from the head and face.

US and China Interest in Balochistan

A $1.25 billion investment was announced by the United States in December 2025 to support the mining the critical minerals. A few months before, a US-based firm USSM signed a MoU of $50 million with the Frontier Works Organisation of Pakistan to explore the extraction as well as refining of rare earth and other critical minerals.

For China, Balochistan is an integral pillar and important region for the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 12: Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan And Diljit Dosanjh’s Film Stagnates Despite Tuesday Discount, Misses Key Benchmark

Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 12: Border 2 started its box office journey on a strong note, but the film is now slowing down in its second week. The Sunny Deol-led war drama surprised trade analysts with its opening numbers. However, the pace has dropped and collections have entered single digits.

Even Tuesday discounts failed to lift earnings on Day 12. The makers introduced ticket prices as low as Rs 149 to boost footfalls, but the strategy did not deliver the expected results. As a result, the film missed an important milestone at the domestic box office.

Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 12

According to Sacnilk, Border 2 earned Rs 5.75 crore on its second Tuesday in cinemas. With this, the film’s total net collection in India stands at Rs 286.75 crore after 12 days. The Day 12 figure remained the same as the previous day, despite the discounted ticket prices.

The flat trend clearly shows that the film is losing momentum as it moves closer to its third week. While there was no drop, the lack of growth meant Border 2 narrowly missed crossing the Rs 300 crore mark on Day 12. The film is now expected to reach that milestone on Day 13.

Released on January 23, Border 2 crossed the Rs 200 crore mark within just six days of its release. Its opening weekend was stronger than Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava and Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar. This early surge put the film ahead of many recent releases.

However, the momentum did not last beyond the first week. As collections dropped in the second week, it became clear that nostalgia may have played a big role in the strong start. Comparisons with Sunny Deol’s previous blockbuster Gadar 2 highlight this slowdown. By Day 12, Gadar 2 had already entered the Rs 400 crore club, while Border 2 is still far behind.

For Varun Dhawan, the film remains an important success. After several post-pandemic releases underperformed, Border 2 has now become his highest-grossing film. Still, it trails Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar, which earned Rs 30 crore on Day 12 and stood at Rs 411 crore net in India at the same stage.

Despite the slowdown, Border 2 has performed better than many recent war films. In 12 days, it has outperformed titles like Sky Force (Rs 102.95 crore), Fighter (Rs 178.5 crore), and Sam Bahadur (Rs 60.95 crore). This keeps it among the stronger performers in the genre.

The film is also facing competition from Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani 3, which has earned Rs 21.92 crore in five days despite a smaller release. Meanwhile, Border 2’s worldwide collection is close to Rs 392 crore. Trade experts are now watching closely to see if it can enter the Rs 400 crore club globally by the end of the week.

About The Film

Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is the spiritual sequel to the 1997 cult classic Border. Produced by Bhushan Kumar and J.P. Dutta, the film is set during the 1971 India-Pakistan War. Unlike the original, it expands into a multi-front war story, covering major operations such as the Battle of Basantar and Operation Chengiz Khan.

Sunny Deol stars as Lt Col Fateh Singh Kaler, alongside Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. The film also features Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana, and Anya Singh, who bring emotional depth by focusing on the families of soldiers.

Netflix has acquired the film’s digital rights, with reports suggesting a streaming release around March 20, 2026. Encouraged by the box office response, the makers have already confirmed that Border 3 is in the planning stage.

India US Trade Deal: Leading industry leaders from India welcomed the India US trade deal after months of tariff-related issues between the world’s two superpowers.

In a post on Truth social, US President Donald Trump remarked that he is pleased to announce a deal with India. Trump thanked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and acknowledged the mutually-beneficial economic relationships between the two nations.

Trump added that India has offered not to buy any more crude oil from Russia and would be putting in an investment of $500 billion to buy American goods.

The deal would help Indian exports reap the benefits of reduced tariffs and lower trade barriers. It would also facilitate faster and easier cross-border trade while providing more confidence to global investors to invest in India.

India US Trade Deal-Industry Reactions

Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman of the Aditya Birla Group, remarked that the significant reduction in economic tariffs by the United States would go a long way to strengthen economic and strategic relations between the two countries. Birla added that the US India deal would also open new investment and collaboration avenues.

The Aditya Birla Group Chairman added that the India US trade deal would help in unlocking manufacturing opportunities, building more resilient supply chains and enhancing long-term competitiveness in economic terms for both nations.

Anish Shah, Group CEO and Managing Director of the Mahindra Group, remarked that the India US trade deal would help in boosting growth momentum while also enhancing the predictability that businesses require to invest with confidence.

Sudarshan Venu, Chairman of TVS Motor Company, hailed the trade deal. Venu commented that the deal would improve competitiveness, accelerate technology collaboration and deepen supply chain integration.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had remarked that India welcomes the reduction on tariffs from 25 percent to 18 percent on all products “Made in India”. Modi also thanked the US President and the India US trade deal would strengthen cooperation between two of the world’s largest democracies.

Markets Go Wild!

On Tuesday, The Nifty 50 stock index closed 2.5 percent higher. The Indian rupee strengthened 1 percent, banking indices closed higher by 2.4 percent, information technology indices closed higher by 1.4 percent.

Dhurandhar: While Sequel Teaser Dropped, Ranveer Singh’s Spy Actioner Quietly Crossed THIS Big Milestone By Beating Aamir Khan’s Dangal, Check

As the buzz around Dhurandhar 2 continues to grow, the first film has delivered a surprise of its own. On the same day the sequel’s teaser was released, Dhurandhar crossed a major box office milestone that very few Indian films have ever achieved. The Ranveer Singh-starrer has now recorded over 40 million (4 crore) footfalls across India.

This achievement has pushed Dhurandhar into an elite list in Indian cinema history. Only 19 films have managed to reach this level of audience turnout. While most eyes were on the sequel teaser, it was the original film’s strong performance that grabbed attention across the trade.

The milestone also highlights the film’s long and steady theatrical run. Instead of fading after the opening weekend, Dhurandhar continued to pull crowds week after week, driven largely by strong word of mouth.

Dhurandhar Crosses 4 Crore Footfall Milestone

Released on December 5, 2025, Dhurandhar began its box office journey with a decent opening of around Rs 30 crore. It was not a blockbuster start, but the film gradually found its audience. Over the next few days, positive reactions helped the film grow steadily.

As weeks passed, Dhurandhar began breaking single-day collection records and showed rare staying power. By the end of its seventh week in theatres in January, the film had earned more than Rs 800 crore net, taking its worldwide gross close to Rs 1000 crore.

Based on an average ticket price of Rs 250, trade analysts estimate that the film has now sold over 4 crore tickets in India alone. This makes it the first Bollywood film in 24 years to achieve this feat after Gadar, which recorded 5 crore footfalls in 2001. In today’s market, where ticket prices are high and theatrical runs are shorter, such numbers are considered exceptional.

Dhurandhar Beats Dangal And Other All-Time Blockbusters

With this milestone, Dhurandhar has joined a rare club of Indian films. While legendary titles like Sholay, Baahubali 2, Mughal-e-Azam, and Mother India remain far ahead with over 10 crore tickets sold each, the Ranveer Singh film has still managed to outperform several modern and classic hits.

Most notably, Dhurandhar has crossed the domestic footfall figures of Aamir Khan’s Dangal, which recorded around 3.7 crore footfalls. It has also moved ahead of PK (3.5 crore), Sunny Deol’s Border (3.7 crore), Shah Rukh Khan’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (3.5 crore), and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (3.1 crore).

In addition, the film has surpassed older classics such as Dev Anand’s CID (3.1 crore) and Raajkumar’s Laila Majnu (3.6 crore). Trade experts say this performance reflects the film’s strong reach beyond metro cities. Its appeal in mass centres and single screens helped sustain collections over a long period.

All About This Ranveer Singh Starrer

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar follows the story of Jaskirat Singh Rangi, played by Ranveer Singh. He is an Indian death-row inmate recruited by IB chief Ajay Sanyal, portrayed by R. Madhavan, for a dangerous undercover mission.

Disguised as an underworld operative, Jaskirat is sent into Karachi’s Lyari district to take down a terror network led by Rehman Dakait, played by Akshaye Khanna. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt as a senior police officer and Arjun Rampal as an ISI operative.

Inspired by real-life events such as the IC-814 hijacking and the 2001 Parliament attacks, Dhurandhar blends action with a strong nationalistic theme. With its record-breaking footfalls and lasting audience support, the film has set a new benchmark ahead of Dhurandhar 2.

Priyanka Chopra is back in the headlines, and fans cannot stop talking about it. The global star has returned to India for her first Hindi film in nearly six years, and her latest comments have sparked fresh excitement around Don 3. While Priyanka did not give a clear yes or no, her words were enough to set social media buzzing.

The actress is making her long-awaited comeback to Indian cinema with SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi, where she stars opposite Mahesh Babu. The film is already among the most talked-about upcoming projects. During recent interviews, Priyanka opened up about returning home, working across industries, and what this new chapter means to her.

As expected, the conversation soon shifted to her past blockbusters. Fans have been eager to know whether she will return to two of her most popular franchises, Don and Krrish. Her answers were carefully chosen and full of intrigue.

Priyanka Chopra On Working In Hollywood And Indian Cinema

In an interview with ScreenRant, Priyanka spoke honestly about the difference between Hollywood and Indian film sets. She explained how she adapts to both worlds without mixing them. “Um, yes, I think that the culture of filmmaking is very different in Hollywood versus how we work in India, and you have to pivot your brain. So I can divide my brain into two. I don’t think there is a world in which you bring lessons from there, here, or vice versa. I think you have to, like, immerse yourself into…”

She also stressed that a director’s vision plays the biggest role in shaping her performance. “And I believe, anyway, an actor’s journey is through a director’s vision, whether it was Ilya in heads of state or any other work that I’ve done abroad, all filmmakers in Hindi cinema or television cinema. I think you just have to go into every film set with, you know, the originality of whatever you’re going to receive from that set.”

Talking about her return to India, Priyanka sounded emotional and grateful. She said, “But, I’m so happy to be coming back and, you know, making this movie in India, because if there was any other, any way to come back into Indian cinema, it was this.”

Priyanka Chopra Talks About Don 3 And Krrish 4

With Varanasi marking her official return, questions about Don 3 were unavoidable. The franchise holds a special place in Priyanka’s career, and fans have long hoped to see her back in the action-packed series produced by Farhan Akhtar.

When asked directly about Don 3 and Krrish 4, Priyanka chose to stay silent on details. She said, “I don’t know if I can talk about either of them at all.” That single line was enough to send fans into overdrive. Adding to the moment, Mahesh Babu jokingly remarked, “Then there’s something happening.”

Instead of shutting down the rumours, Priyanka kept the excitement alive. She hinted at more projects in the future and shared what she enjoyed most about returning to Indian films. “Exciting, exciting times ahead, and, yes, this (Varanasi) is the first one that I’m doing after, like, almost six years in India, and just coming back. My favourite part was getting to dance again, which I haven’t done in any of my Hollywood productions. I was really excited to be able to do that.”

While Varanasi is still about a year away from its theatrical release, Priyanka will appear on screens much sooner. Her Hollywood production The Bluff is set to premiere on OTT on February 25, 2026.

Until then, her comments have kept fans guessing. Whether or not Priyanka Chopra is part of Don 3, one thing is clear. Talking about Don 3, recent reports claimed that the project has been put on HOLD again due to casting issue. Farhan Akhtar is said to be focusing on Jee Le Zaraa now.

World Cancer Day 2026: 17 Medicines, One Promise – Will Cancer Treatment Finally Cost Less In India? Here’s What You Must Know

On World Cancer Day 2026 (Feb 4, 2026), a recent announcement in India’s Union Budget has put the spotlight on cancer care. The government has proposed a major policy change that could affect how much patients pay for life-saving treatment.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a cut in taxes on several costly cancer medicines. The decision has raised hopes among patients and health experts alike. However, it has also sparked debate on whether the move will truly make treatment affordable for everyone.

During her Budget speech on February 1, the finance minister said the government would remove basic customs duty on 17 critical cancer drugs. These are medicines that are mostly imported and often come with high taxes, making them expensive for patients.

The exemption covers drugs used in breast cancer, blood cancers, immunotherapy, targeted therapy and other advanced treatments. Along with this, the Budget also waives import duty on medicines for seven rare diseases, as well as specialised medical foods and therapies.

World Cancer Day 2026: Why Cutting Customs Duty On Cancer Drugs Matters

Imported cancer drugs are among the most expensive parts of cancer treatment in India. Customs duty adds to their final price, increasing the burden on patients and families.

By removing this tax, the government aims to lower costs at the entry level. Experts say that even a small cut in duty can reduce the overall landed cost of high-end oncology medicines.

Finance Minister Sitharaman explained the intent clearly during her speech. She said, “To provide relief to patients, particularly those suffering from cancer, I propose to exempt basic customs duty on 17 drugs or medicines.”

Healthcare analysts believe this step could reduce out-of-pocket expenses, especially for patients who rely on imported drugs. With limited insurance coverage, many families still pay for treatment directly, often draining savings or taking loans.

Will This Budget Move Make Cancer Treatment Affordable?

While the duty exemption sends a strong policy signal, experts caution that it may not be enough on its own. Many of the drugs on the list remain expensive due to patents, high research costs and limited competition.

If manufacturers do not pass on the benefit, the final price may not fall significantly. This is why healthcare advocates stress the need for broader reforms.

They point to stronger domestic drug production, better insurance coverage, price negotiations and patient support programmes as key steps. Without these, the relief for patients could remain limited.

That said, the decision is still seen as a positive move. For advanced treatments that were once out of reach, even a modest reduction can make a difference.

As India marks World Cancer Day 2026, the Budget’s cancer drug relief highlights an ongoing challenge. Making treatment accessible and affordable will need sustained efforts (far beyond a single tax cut).
