In Jalalabad, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced a series of developmental projects that form part of a larger strategy for balanced, interconnected regional development (this initiative is aimed at eliminating the difference between urban areas and semi-urban areas).
The newly announced developments will consist of various types of improvements in the area of public infrastructure (such as roads), access to healthcare, and other public amenities in the community. According to state administration officials, these infrastructure upgrades are expected to improve people’s lives on a daily basis and simultaneously support economic development in the future.
Boost for Local Economy and Employment
As was mentioned previously, the most important aspect of these new infrastructure projects, will be the number of jobs created. The state government intends for local infrastructure investment to lead to increased small business stimulation and ultimately, create new jobs available to the youth in Jalalabad. This promotion of job creation aligns with the broader solution of decreasing migration to large cities.
A Transformation Towards Inclusive Advancement
The program focuses on an equal distribution of resources all over the country. Rather than focusing solely on community development of large metropolitan areas, the government is now giving priority to smaller towns to create maximum socio-economic benefit for more people. This demonstrates a change in the government’s approach from a top-down system of governance to a bottom-up system for community development.
Political and Policy Implications
The announcement of this program has significant political ramifications because it demonstrates the government’s commitment to creating visible, on-the-ground development. Analysts believe that this is part of a broader governance model that emphasizes accountability and inclusiveness at the regional level.
Filming for The Traitors Season 2 has started, and the latest update from the sets has created excitement among fans. The reality show, hosted by Karan Johar, is currently being shot in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. A new report now says that Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat has joined the show, ending weeks of rumours about her participation.
For the past few weeks, Mallika’s name was linked with the new season, but the actress did not confirm anything. Now reports claim that she has reached Jaisalmer and has already started shooting for the reality series. If this is true, her entry could become one of the biggest highlights of the upcoming season.
The Traitors Season 2 Casting Update: Mallika Sherawat Joins Shoot In Jaisalmer
According to a report by Variety India, Mallika Sherawat is now part of The Traitors Season 2. The report says she has joined host Karan Johar and other contestants at the shooting location in Rajasthan. Karan Johar had travelled to Jaisalmer earlier, which showed that the production of the show had begun.
Sharing the update on social media, Variety India wrote, “Shooting for the second season of reality show, The Traitors India has started in Jaisalmer. Actress Mallika Sherawat has joined host Karan Johar and the other contestants.”
Like the first season, the new season is also being filmed at the luxurious Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer. The palace is known for hosting big celebrity events. It also became famous after Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra got married there in January 2023. The royal look of the location matches the mysterious theme of the show.
Fans are now excited to see how Mallika plays the game. She is known for her bold personality and strong screen presence, and her entry is expected to bring more drama and unexpected twists.
The Traitors Season 2 follows the same format as the first season. The reality show is based on strategy, trust, and betrayal. Contestants are divided into two groups called TRAITORS and INNOCENTS. The traitors secretly eliminate players, while the innocents try to find out who the traitors are and vote them out.
The game continues until all traitors are removed or at least one traitor survives till the end. Because of this format, the show is full of suspense, arguments and shocking moments, which made the first season very popular.
Season 1 premiered on Amazon Prime Video India and became a surprise hit. The show was renewed for another season even before the finale aired on July 3, 2025. The first season was jointly won by Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther. The cast also included Raj Kundra, Purav Jha, Sufi Motiwala, Anshula Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Raftaar, Ashish Vidyarthi, Jannat Zubair, Elnaaz Norouzi and Lakshmi Manchu.
Mallika Sherawat, who has been living abroad for some time, was last seen in the 2024 film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. She became popular after her bold role in Murder and later got international attention after appearing with Bruno Mars in the music video Whatta Man.
Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has once again praised Dhurandhar 2The Revenge and its director Aditya Dhar. The veteran director recently met Dhar and actor Yami Gautam and shared a picture with them on social media. He called them a “power couple” and also made a bold comparison between the film’s character Hamza and Aditya Dhar himself. RGV said Ranveer and Aditya are both real Hamzas, whoere one destroys enemies, and another one has finished all filmmakers. Read on to know more!
Ram Gopal Varma Compares Aditya Dhar And Hamza From Dhurandhar 2
Varma posted the photo on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday and praised the success of the Dhurandhar franchise. In his post, he compared Ranveer Singh’s character Hamza with Aditya Dhar. He suggested that Hamza (Ranveer) destroys enemies on screen, while Dhar is dominating the film industry with his filmmaking.
According to Varma, the impact of Dhurandhar 2 is very strong and the film is setting new standards in Indian cinema. His comment about “destroying the Indian film makers” was used as a metaphor. He meant that Dhar’s work is raising the bar so high that other filmmakers will find it difficult to compete.
In the Dhurandhar films, Ranveer Singh plays Hamza, a fearless spy who goes on dangerous missions against enemies of the country. Varma linked this character with Aditya Dhar’s real-life success and said the director is creating a similar impact in the film industry through his storytelling.
Check his post below
ME with the POWER COUPLE. The reel HUMZA @RanveerOfficial destroyed the Pakistani terrorists and the real HUMZA @AdityaDharFilms is destroying the Indian film makers 🙏 Terrorists can run to save their lives, but where will film makers run to save their films from his brilliance? pic.twitter.com/r4zE5hKF4a
Varma has been praising the film since its release. He earlier called Dhurandhar 2 a game-changer and said the film would make many old-style action movies look outdated. According to him, the film shows a more realistic hero who can feel pain, bleed, and struggle, instead of the usual larger-than-life characters seen in commercial cinema.
RGV also said that this kind of realistic storytelling could make fake action scenes and gravity-defying fights look silly in the future. The filmmaker believes this change will push Indian cinema towards more believable stories and performances.
Social Media Reacts To RGV’s Latest Statement
Varma’s post quickly went viral and received mixed reactions on social media. Some users felt the comparison was too much. One user wrote, “Overhyping is easy, delivering real content is not.”
Another commented, “Yami, ye ramu se door rehna, aadmi thik nahi hai.”
A third user criticised the comparison and said, “This comparison of yours is fundamentally hollow, cheap, and born of an inferiority complex. To portray @RanveerOfficial as a slayer of terrorists and label @AdityaDharFilms a destroyer of filmmakers are both cheap, overdramatic lines not reality. Cinema is not a battlefield where a single individual can simply walk in and wipe out the entire industry.”
Another reaction read, “So now terrorists will be destroyed via films.”
One more user joked, “So much of Dalali! It seems this fellow wants some money from the couple.”
Despite the mixed reactions, Varma continues to support the film strongly and has called it one of the most important action films in recent times. Meanwhile, Dhurandhar 2 is performing very well at the box office and is expected to cross the Rs 350 crore mark in its first weekend.
Bhagwant Mann: The government of Bhagwant Mann has stepped up its “Yudh Nashian Virudh” campaign, making it clear that it will not tolerate drug abuse or trafficking.
The Punjab Police recently arrested 125 smugglers as part of new operations. This is on top of a huge statewide crackdown that has already led to more than 54,000 arrests in the last year. The campaign is part of a long-term, aggressive effort to break up drug networks all over the state.
Huge Crackdown and Seizures of Assets
Authorities have not only made arrests, but they have also gone after the money that drug gangs use to run their businesses. The police have taken properties worth almost ₹772 crore, more than 5,600 kg of heroin, and a lot of illegal weapons.
Officials say that the goal of this plan is to completely break the supply chain, which will hurt drug cartels’ ability to do business and their financial strength.
Continuing its sustained crackdown under the anti-drug campaign, Punjab Police arrested 125 drug smugglers and recovered 9.8 kg of heroin, 906 intoxicant tablets/capsules, and ₹36,560 in drug… pic.twitter.com/CbDrWpXR5f
The government is just as focused on rehabilitation as it is on enforcement. Every day, counsellors talk to dozens of people who are addicted and urge them to join programs to help them stop using drugs.
In 2025, new rules made it easier to keep an eye on rehab centres. This has led to better care, more openness, and support for long-term recovery. The approach sees addiction as a health problem, not just a crime.
Technology Makes Border Control Stronger
Bhagwant Mann: Punjab has put in place advanced systems like the “Baaj Akh” anti-drone technology to stop smuggling across borders. This new technology makes it easier to find and stop drone-based drug deliveries, which are becoming more common in border areas.
Upgraded police cars and surveillance systems are also making things run more smoothly on the ground, which speeds up and makes enforcement more effective.
Bhagwant Mann has made reliable daytime electricity one of the most important changes that will make life better in rural Punjab.
Farmers are now getting up to 8 hours of uninterrupted power during the day, instead of the old system of power being available at night only sometimes. People see the move as a useful way to make life better and more productive.
Increase in Farm Output
Having access to electricity during the day has made irrigation more reliable and efficient. Farmers can now better plan their work, which means better crop management and possibly higher yields.
The change also makes it less necessary to rely on expensive options like diesel pumps. Also, working during the day makes farming safer by lowering the risks that come with farming at night, like accidents and tiredness.
— Adv Harpal Singh Cheema (@HarpalCheemaMLA) March 21, 2026
Families have a better work-life balance.
The policy is having an effect on society as a whole, not just on farming. Farmers can now finish their work during normal business hours and go home earlier, which gives them a sense of routine like having set work hours.
People in rural areas have mostly liked this change because it gives them more time to spend with their families, lowers their stress levels, and makes them feel better overall.
Big Push for Infrastructure Underway
Bhagwant Mann: The Punjab government is spending almost ₹5,000 crore to improve the power infrastructure to help with this change. Plans call for laying 25,000 kilometers of new cables, putting in 8,000 transformers, and building 77 substations.
These upgrades are meant to make sure that the state has a reliable supply of electricity 24 hours a day, seven days a week, which will help both farmers and homeowners.
For a Stronger Economy in Rural Areas
The project is part of a bigger plan to bring Punjab’s rural economy up to date. Families get free electricity for up to 600 units, which helps them even more by easing their financial stress.
The Mann government is working to make rural life more efficient, safe, and balanced by combining reliable power with infrastructure development. This will help both the economy and people’s health.
Anurag Dhanda: Leaders of the BJP and Congress have expressed gratitude for Bhagwant Mann’s governance model in an uncommon political development.
The state government’s emphasis on inclusive development and public welfare is becoming more widely acknowledged, despite long-standing political differences, as evidenced by this cross-party recognition.
Impact-Driving Welfare Programs
The Mann administration has launched a number of people-centred programs to enhance daily living. These include direct financial aid for women, with monthly support programs providing ₹1,500 to SC women and ₹1,000 to beneficiaries in the general category.
Free electricity, cashless healthcare coverage up to ₹10 lakh per family, and infrastructure improvements in both urban and rural areas are other important initiatives. When taken as a whole, these programs are changing how people can obtain necessary services.
Put Employment, Education, and Social Reform First
The government is pushing for both education and employment. Alongside hiring campaigns in public sectors, more than 63,000 jobs have reportedly been created in the last four years.
Attention is also being paid to education reforms like updated Schools of Eminence, better facilities, and better teacher hiring. Additionally, long-standing social issues are the focus of anti-drug campaigns backed by rehabilitation facilities.

Punjab’s transformation has been actively highlighted by AAP leader Anurag Dhanda, who has praised advancements in roads, schools, libraries, and governance transparency.
He has positioned these developments as instances of effective and truthful governance through public remarks and social media outreach, presenting Punjab as a model for growth driven by welfare.
Political Repercussions Prior to Elections
Ahead of upcoming elections, recent announcements—such as increased financial aid programs for women—are also viewed as politically significant.
The more general conclusion, however, is the uncommon bipartisan support for welfare programs—a sign that these measures are improving people’s lives and influencing the story of a more prosperous and inclusive Punjab.
Bhagwant Mann: The ambitious “Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna,” which offers every family in the state cashless health coverage up to ₹10 lakh annually, was introduced by the Bhagwant Mann-led government.
The program covers a wide range of services, such as hospitalisation, surgeries, ICU care, and diagnostics, and greatly increases the previous ₹5 lakh cap. It ensures more people have access to high-quality healthcare because it is offered in all affiliated public and private hospitals.
A 98-Year-Old Patient Gets a Lifeline
Mukhtiar Kaur, a 98-year-old woman from the Moga district, recently received free cancer treatment, providing a striking illustration of the program’s effectiveness.
After the hospital validated her Sehat Card, she received cashless care that included advanced chemotherapy and ongoing medical monitoring. In addition to guaranteeing prompt care, the treatment relieved her family of a significant financial burden.
Bhagwant Mann: With more than 550 private hospitals already affiliated with all government healthcare facilities, the program is expanding quickly. To improve access even more, authorities hope to raise this figure to 1,000.
Using simple identification documents like Aadhaar or voter ID, residents can easily obtain their Sehat Cards through Seva Kendras, Common Service Centres, or online platforms.
Put an emphasis on inclusivity and dignity
The initiative, according to health officials, is intended to guarantee prompt and respectful treatment, particularly for vulnerable populations like senior citizens.
This program is universal in nature, benefiting all residents regardless of income level, in contrast to many previous schemes. It is anticipated that this strategy will close healthcare gaps and drastically lower out-of-pocket costs.
A Step Into Better Healthcare
The program is a significant step toward improving Punjab‘s public healthcare system because of its extensive coverage and inclusive methodology.
The Mann government sets a high standard for welfare-driven governance by combining financial protection with accessibility to guarantee that no resident is denied treatment because of cost.
Ustaad Bhagat Singh Box Office Collection Day 3: The box office clash between Ustaad Bhagat Singh and Dhurandhar 2 is becoming one-sided. While Ranveer Singh’s film is breaking records across India, Pawan Kalyan’s latest release is struggling to keep the same pace. Even with the Eid holiday advantage, the film did not show the expected jump on day 3, and its earnings remained much lower than its competitor.
Directed by Harish Shankar, the Telugu action drama released in theatres on March 19 along with Dhurandhar 2. The film opened well on the first day, but collections dropped soon after. Although there was slight growth on Saturday, it was not strong enough for a festive weekend. Trade experts believe the film now depends on Sunday numbers before the usual weekday drop begins.
Ustaad Bhagat Singh Box Office Collection Day 3
According to Sacnilk, Ustaad Bhagat Singh box office collection on day 3 was Rs 9.15 crore net in India. The film ran in around 3340 shows and recorded nearly 36% occupancy on Saturday. This was only a small increase from Friday’s Rs 9 crore, showing a growth of just 1.7%.
The film had earned Rs 34.75 crore on Thursday, but the sharp fall after that affected the overall trend. With the latest numbers, the three-day total stands at Rs 52.90 crore net in India. The film has crossed the Rs 50 crore mark, but the pace is slower than expected for a Pawan Kalyan release.
When compared with Dhurandhar 2, the difference is very clear. On the same day, the Hindi film collected more than Rs 113 crore. This means Ustaad Bhagat Singh earned nearly 12 times less despite the Eid holiday benefit.
The film is also behind Pawan Kalyan’s previous releases. Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which received mixed response, had collected Rs 64.65 crore in its first three days. Meanwhile, They Call Him OG (which opened to better reviews) earned Rs 121.70 crore in the same period.
Interestingly, Ustaad Bhagat Singh did perform better than the Telugu version of Dhurandhar 2, which collected around Rs 5 crore on day 3. However, the Hindi film had fewer shows in the language, running in about 1178 screens compared to more than 3000 shows for UBS.
With Sunday still remaining, the film has one more chance to improve its weekend total. After that, a drop during weekdays is expected, and recovery may become difficult if the trend does not change.

About The Film
Ustaad Bhagat Singh stars Pawan Kalyan as a strong and fearless police officer. The film also features Sreeleela and Raashii Khanna as the female leads. Supporting roles are played by Ashutosh Rana, Gautami, Pankaj Tripathi and R Parthiban.
The film is directed by Harish Shankar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. It is made on a reported budget of around Rs 150 crore. The runtime of the film is 154 minutes, making it a full-length mass action entertainer.
There were rumours that the film was a remake of the Tamil hit Theri, starring Thalapathy Vijay. However, Harish Shankar clarified that the story was changed and developed into a new script specially written for Pawan Kalyan. According to the director, the similarities exist because both films are police stories, but the final version is not a direct remake.
With the weekend still in progress, it will be interesting to see whether Ustaad Bhagat Singh box office collection improves or if the clash with Dhurandhar 2 continues to affect its run.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that 1,228 nursing officers had been successfully hired across the state. The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission hired people for 13 government medical colleges and two other schools.
The move is a big step toward filling open positions in the public healthcare system and making jobs more stable.
प्रदेश सरकार की प्रतिबद्धता के… pic.twitter.com/k0g7Spy0GU
The Chief Minister personally gave appointment letters to 492 chosen candidates at a formal event at Lok Bhavan in Lucknow.
The other 736 candidates got their letters at the same time through live events at the medical colleges and institutions where they were applying. This made sure that everyone in the state could take part in the recruitment drive.
Help for Young People to Get Jobs
The new nursing officers will work full-time for the government, which will give qualified nurses job security and better pay.
The state government has made this program part of a larger effort to create jobs. This year, they want to give about 1.5 lakh young people in Uttar Pradesh government jobs. This effort should help job seekers a lot.
Making the public healthcare system stronger
The goal of the hiring is not only to fill jobs, but also to improve healthcare delivery across the state. Filling important nursing jobs will improve patient care, cut down on staff shortages, and help build up the medical infrastructure.
Officials say that hiring people with specific skills will help meet the growing needs of the healthcare system and improve the quality of care in government hospitals.
What This Means Going Forward
The recruitment drive shows that Uttar Pradesh is working on both improving healthcare and creating jobs.
The government wants to build a stronger workforce and fill in important gaps in public services by hiring more people in the next few months.
Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge Box Office Day 3: Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge is continuing its strong run at the box office and the film is showing no signs of slowing down. In just three days, the Ranveer Singh starrer has entered the record books with huge numbers, helped by the Eid holiday weekend. The film has already crossed several big milestones and is now moving towards another major record, with Aamir Khan’s Dangal next in line.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy action thriller released on March 19 and opened to massive collections across India. After a powerful start, the film saw a big jump during the festive weekend, which pushed the total much higher than expected. Trade experts believe the film could become one of the biggest Hindi hits in recent years if the current trend continues.
Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge Box Office Collection Day 3
According to trade website Sacnilk, Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge box office collection started strong with premieres on March 18. The film earned Rs 43 crore net from previews alone. After the official release on March 19, it collected Rs 102.55 crore on its opening day.
On the second day, the film saw a small drop and earned Rs 80.72 crore. This took the two-day total to Rs 226.27 crore net in India. However, the biggest jump came on the first Saturday of the Eid weekend. The film collected Rs 113 crore net on day 3, taking the total to Rs 339.27 crore net in India.
The occupancy also increased sharply. The film recorded around 81.6% occupancy on Saturday, compared to 62.6% on Friday. This shows that the Eid holiday and strong word of mouth helped the film grow even more.
With these numbers, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has already crossed the lifetime collection of Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s War, which earned Rs 318 crore in India. It has also beaten the total of Salman Khan’s Tiger 3, which collected Rs 282.79 crore net.
Now the film is heading towards another big milestone. It is expected to cross the lifetime collection of Aamir Khan’s Dangal, which earned Rs 387.38 crore net in India. Looking at the current trend, the film could reach this mark today itself (Sunday, Day 4).

Sequel’s Success Gifts Ranveer Singh Big Box Office Milestone
The strong performance of Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge box office collection has also helped Ranveer Singh achieve an important record. With this film, the actor has crossed the Rs 2000 crore mark worldwide in the post-COVID era.
Before the sequel was released, his total global collection from films like 83, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Cirkus, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and the first Dhurandhar stood at Rs 1951.79 crore. With the success of Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, his total has now gone past Rs 2000 crore and is expected to grow further.
Trade experts believe that if the film continues at the same speed, Ranveer could even reach the Rs 3000 crore milestone in the coming years.
About Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge
Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is a high-octane spy thriller directed by Aditya Dhar. The story follows undercover agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi, also known as Hamza Ali Mazari, who works inside Karachi while carrying out a dangerous mission connected to national security.
The film has a big star cast including Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun. Akshaye Khanna appears in a flashback role, while Yami Gautam has a special cameo.
Made on a reported budget of Rs 250–300 crore, the film had already recovered a large part of its cost through digital, satellite and music rights before release. After coming to theatres, it became the first Hindi film to cross Rs 100 crore net on opening day in India. By the end of its first weekend, the film crossed Rs 550 crore worldwide, making it one of the fastest-growing hits of the year.
On March 21, 2026, the Reputed CM of MP, Mohan Yadav, spoke with some of the most successful businesspersons in Jaipur during an interactive session. The event, held at ITC Rajputana, focused on strengthening investment ties between states.
The Chief Minister got investment proposals worth ₹5,055 crore through one-on-one meetings for the future growth and youth employment of the state.

Focus on the Most Important Growth Areas of the state
The suggested investments would cover several fast-growing industries, such as textiles, electric vehicles, cars, food processing, and tourism. These areas are expected to be very important in helping Madhya Pradesh’s industrial output grow.
Officials estimate the projects could create about 3,530 jobs, which would be a significant boost to the area’s economy and job market.
Yadav talked about Madhya Pradesh’s business-friendly environment, which includes 26 sector-specific incentive policies. These include new fields such as space-related industries, renewable energy, and artificial intelligence.
He also talked about the state’s strengths, including extra power and low electricity costs, which make it a good place for manufacturing and industrial growth.
Creating a Strong Value Chain in the Region
The Chief Minister stated that it was very important for Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh to work together. He said that the strong business base in Rajasthan and the natural resources and infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh could work together to make a strong industrial corridor in Central India.
The most recent proposals add to the state’s growing investment momentum after its 2025 Global Investors Summit, which drew huge commitments.
The new investments are also expected to help agri-business integration, which will make the state’s economy even more diverse. 2026 has been declared a focus year for agriculture.
Viral Video: Asitya Dhar’s Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge is making waves worldwide, not just for its box office success but also for sparking heated debates online. A viral video of a Pakistani family reacting to the film has grabbed attention across social media.
The clip shows a Pakistani family living in the UK standing outside a cinema hall, clearly frustrated after watching the film. While they had praised the first Dhurandhar in 2025, the sequel left them unimpressed. They called it GHATIYA (third-class) and criticised its portrayal of Pakistan. At one point, the family chanted “Pakistan Zindabad” while calling Arjun Rampal‘s character Major Iqbal their “hero.”
The family referenced Major Iqbal’s dialogue – “Hum phir se aayenge, phir ghusenge, phir maarenge.” They also expressed disappointment over Akshaye Khanna’s absence, who played Rahman Dakait in the first film, saying it made the sequel feel inferior.
For the unversed, Major Iqbal is a ruthless ISI mastermind in the film, responsible for terror attacks in India, including the 2008 Mumbai attacks. The character is inspired by real-life militants such as Ilyas Kashmiri.
How Indian Users Reacted To Pakistani Family’s Viral Video On Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge
Reacting to the viral video, a user wrote, “Dhurandhar 2 is doing what Indian cinema rarely achieves: forcing uncomfortable conversations across the border. The fact that a Pakistani family watched it, got frustrated, and still could not stop talking about it proves the storytelling hit exactly where it was supposed to. This is soft power at work.”
A user commented, “They r praising a terrorist, and saying hum dubara ghusenge, ghatiyan pan toh dikhana hi hai.”
A third user said, “That means the movie completed its purpose.”
One joked, “Burnol Lijiye.”
A user wrote, “This hate and they forgot that, Mumbai attack was planned by the individual they are shouting Zindabad. That’s pure evil mentality. The whole Pak Com is mentally retard.”

Ban, Piracy And Controversy Surrounding The Sequel
Despite being banned in Pakistan, Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge has caused major disruption there. Within 12 days, the film recorded over 2 million illegal downloads, surpassing blockbusters like Raees and 2.0, making it the most pirated film in the country’s history. Even journalists and prominent figures openly admitted to watching it, embarrassing local authorities who tried blocking it through VPNs and internet blackouts.
Critics in Pakistan called the film “blatant propaganda” and “anti-Muslim” due to its depiction of Pakistan as a “terror state” and its focus on real events like the 26/11 Mumbai attacks and Lyari gang wars. In response, the Pakistani government announced a film titled Mera Lyari to offer an alternative perspective.
Despite bans, backlash, and controversy, Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge continues to dominate conversations globally. The spy thriller also features Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt and other notable actors.
Airfare Cap: The aviation industry in India is facing new cost pressures after oil companies raised the price of premium petrol by as much as ₹2.35 per liter. The rise is in line with global crude oil trends caused by tensions in the Middle East, even though regular petrol prices haven’t changed.
Airlines are more worried about aviation turbine fuel (ATF), which makes up almost 40% of their operating costs. As fuel prices rise, airlines have no choice but to raise fares to cover the costs.
Airfare Caps Have Been Officially Taken Away
The Ministry of Civil Aviation has said that the caps on domestic airfare will be lifted on March 23, 2026. These caps were put in place after the IndiGo operational crisis in December 2025 to stop sudden fare increases.
Officials say the market has stabilized, which means airlines can go back to dynamic pricing. However, the government has told carriers to be open and honest and not charge too much.
Airlines Start Charging Extra Fees
Air India and Akasa Air, two big airlines, have already added fuel surcharges. Prices for domestic tickets have gone up slowly, but prices for international long-haul routes have gone up much more quickly.
Experts in the field think that other airlines, like IndiGo, will soon do the same. Starting in April, ticket prices will probably go up to reflect the full effect of rising ATF prices.
What Travellers Should Expect
Domestic airfares could go up by 10% to 30% because there are no longer fare caps, and prices are going up.
Passengers should book their tickets early, compare prices on different platforms, and look out for hidden fees. Competition between airlines may keep prices from going up too much, but the fact that fuel prices are still very unstable around the world could keep ticket prices high for a while.
Saiyaara director Mohit Suri has shared his opinion on the ongoing debate about fixed working hours in the film industry. The discussion started last year after Deepika Padukone reportedly supported the idea of eight-hour shifts for actors, which led to strong reactions across the industry. Now, Mohit has spoken about the issue and said the conversation should not be limited to actors alone.
The filmmaker recalled his experience from earlier shoots and explained that long working hours have always been a part of filmmaking. He also said that the debate should focus on the entire crew (not just the stars), because technicians and assistants often work longer hours without recognition.
Mohit Suri REACTS To 8-Hr Shift Debate
In an interview with Variety India, Mohit Suri spoke openly about the discussion around fixed work hours on film sets. He said that during his career, there have been times when actors had to work continuously because of tight schedules and expensive locations.
He said, “I have had actors work 24 hours when needed. When we were shooting for Awarapan and we had a really expensive location in the presidential suite of the Intercontinental Hotel on the terrace, we had it only for 24 hours. I remember Emraan Hashmi shot 24 hours with me… We are making it an ego argument. Why should someone dictate the shift? But let’s look at how quality of work happens, right? I mean if a unit is working 12 hours on the shift, they are actually working 14 hours because they are loading and unloading. They’re getting paid only for that 12 hours. I mean it could be even 15 hours. Then they go home.”
The director said that the issue is being looked at from the wrong angle. According to him, the focus should not only be on actors’ comfort but also on the people working behind the camera.
He added, “We are making this more about the actors and thinking they are demanding it. But let’s think about the unit because I’ve been an assistant director who, after the shoot has packed up, is waiting in the bus while the unit wraps up in the rain, while the lightmen wrap up, to be dropped at the station. And I know how difficult it is for the rest of the unit. We are getting egoistic about the fact that an actor has suggested it. But let’s think about the humanity of this also.”
Mohit also said that the debate sometimes becomes unfair because people only talk about actors’ schedules. He explained that if a shoot finishes in eight hours, it is fine, but the industry must look at the bigger picture instead of turning it into an argument about ego. He added that people are “just giving too much attention to the beauty sleep of actors”, while many crew members continue to work much longer hours.
How Deepika Padukone’s Exit From Spirit Sparked The Discussion
The debate around working hours became bigger last year when Deepika Padukone reportedly stepped away from the film Spirit, which stars Prabhas and is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Reports suggested there were disagreements over creative terms and the demand for an eight-hour workday. After her exit, Triptii Dimri joined the project.
The incident led to a huge discussion on social media about professionalism, work-life balance and payment in big-budget films. Since then, many actors, including Kareena Kapoor, Ananya Panday and Divya Dutta, have shared their opinions on having fixed working hours on film sets.
Mohit Suri Work Front
On the work front, Mohit Suri recently delivered one of the biggest hits of his career with Saiyaara. The film received a strong response from audiences and added to his successful track record as a director.
At present, Mohit is busy writing his next project. The filmmaker has not revealed much about the film yet, and the cast is still being finalised. Meanwhile, fans are also waiting to see when he will collaborate again with Emraan Hashmi.
As global energy routes are disrupted by geopolitical tensions in West Asia, particularly in the vicinity of the Strait of Hormuz, India is seeing early indications of LPG supply stress.
Since imports account for almost 60% of India’s LPG demand, any disruption in supply chains has an immediate effect on the country. According to reports, distribution is being managed with precautionary measures and tighter availability.
PNG and CNG Supplies Are Stable
Officials insist that piped natural gas (PNG) and compressed natural gas (CNG) supplies are currently running at full capacity despite worries. Distribution networks are operating normally, and earlier reports of CNG shortages have subsided.
In order to stop panic buying and guarantee a fair supply, authorities have also started anti-hoarding campaigns. There is currently no verified widespread PNG shortage, providing urban households with some respite.
Adoption of PNG Gains Traction
The government is accelerating the transition to PNG connections in order to lessen dependency on LPG. In recent weeks, piped gas systems have already been installed in thousands of homes.
New LPG connections for homes that already have PNG installed are prohibited in some places. This plan seeks to maintain continuous access to cooking fuel while reducing the strain on LPG supplies.
Clever Cooking Substitutes for Families
Households are looking into other cooking techniques due to the uncertainty surrounding the availability of LPG. A more affordable alternative to unsubsidized LPG is electric induction cooktops.
Cooking time and fuel consumption can be greatly decreased by using pressure cookers. Easy ways to save energy include soaking grains before cooking. Microwaves, grills, and rice cookers are examples of appliances that provide easy substitutes for everyday meals.
As India navigates a difficult global energy environment, consumers are encouraged to use fuel efficiently, think about alternative cooking methods, and keep up with official advisories.
