CM Yogi Adityanath: Union railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced that Uttar Pradesh is all ready to complete development projects in the state worth Rs. 92,000 crore in its quest to reach its goal of Rs. 1 lakh crore.

Vaishnaw also commented that the Union Government has approved two new bullet train corridors in the state of CM Yogi Adityanath – Varanasi to Siliguri and Delhi to Varanasi – that would significantly cut travel time while improving regional connectivity.

CM Yogi Adityanath-Bullet Train To Benefit Which Cities?

The Delhi to Varanasi bullet train would cover a distance of 865 kilometres in 3 hours and 50 minutes. It would pass through Noida, Mathura, Agra, Kanpur, Lucknow and Prayagraj. The Varanasi to Siliguri bullet train would pass through Patna before it heads east, reducing travel time to less than 3 hours.

Vaishnaw remarked a significant majority of these high-speed tracks in the state of Uttar Pradesh would be elevated. This would help in reducing environmental impact and reducing issues related to land acquisition.

Seven high-speed railway projects have been sanctioned by the Indian government in the second phase, two in North and East India and five in South and West. This would help in creating a seamless, commuter-friendly and sprawling high-speed railway network across the country.

Vaishnaw commented that the state of Uttar Pradesh has shown other states a ray of hope and determination by achieving 100 percent railway electrification that is undoubtedly a special milestone contributing to both efficiency and sustainability. The Minister remarked 157 railway stations in Uttar Pradesh would undergo complete redevelopment under the country’s glorious Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. CM Yogi Adityanath: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that the much-awaited Noida Jewar Airport would be inaugurated this month by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In February, the Noida International Airport (NIA) would finally see the light of the day. CM Yogi Adityanath remarked that the Jewar Airport now only requires the aerodrome licence from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Adityanath remarked the Noida Airport would be inaugurated by Narendra Modi in the month of February 2026.

Final Clearance for Noida airport Awaited Before Launch

The Noida International Airport would be the state’s fifth international airport after Varanasi, Lucknow, Kushinagar and Ayodhya.

A review meeting is expected this week that would be between the airport management and led by Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu, the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security. Spread across nearly 1,300 hectares in Gautam Buddh Nagar, the Noida International Airport is the country’s largest public-private partnership (PPP) infrastructure aviation sector project. It would be Asia’s largest and the world’s fourth largest airport.

Growth Opportunities

The operational launch of Jewar International Airport would significantly boost regional logistics, employment, trade and tourism infrastructure.

The strategic location of NIA would help in fostering considerable economic growth, improving the overall business environment in Delhi NCR and attracting foreign investment.

The Noida International Airport (IATA: DXN, ICAO: VIND) would be complemented with out-of-the-box security features, thanks to an innovative blend of surveillance, automation and artificial intelligence.

Ajit Singh Yadav, project manager at ESEC Security Consultants, remarked that the crash-rated bollard system would make it impossible to make any kind of infiltration impossible, physically and technologically. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) would be entrusted with the task of managing the airport security operations. More than 350 high-resolution CCTV cameras would track unattended luggage, abnormal behaviour and unauthorized moments in real-time.

Bhagwant Mann: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s Mukhyamantri Tirath Yatra Yojana continues to make waves, offering fully sponsored pilgrimage trips for senior citizens and economically vulnerable residents. The initiative covers travel, food, and lodging, allowing pilgrims to visit revered sites such as Amritsar’s Harmandir Sahib, Vaishno Devi, Haridwar, and Varanasi without financial burden.

Since its inception, the Tirath Yatra Yojana has expanded steadily. Early phases saw buses flagged off personally by CM Mann from Dhuri and other key locations. Officials note that each new route is designed to maximise accessibility, ensuring that even residents in smaller towns can benefit from the scheme without logistical hurdles.

Hussain Ustara's Daughter Files Lawsuit To Halt Shahid Kapoor's O Romeo Release

Shahid Kapoor starrer O Romeo has landed in legal trouble days before its planned theatrical release. The controversy has emerged after Sanober Shaikh, the daughter of late Hussain Ustara, approached a Mumbai civil court seeking to stop the film’s release. She has alleged that the film is an unauthorised biopic of her father and that it presents his life in a false and damaging manner.

According to the lawsuit filed on Monday, Sanober has sought a permanent injunction against the makers of O Romeo, which is directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The Shahid Kapoor starrer is scheduled to hit cinemas on February 13. However, the matter is now set to be heard by the court on February 6.

Hussain Ustara’s Daughter Moves Court Against O Romeo

In her civil suit, Sanober Shaikh has named producer Sajid Nadiadwala, director Vishal Bhardwaj, and journalist-author S. Hussain Zaidi as defendants. Shahid Kapoor plays the character of Hussain Ustara in the film, which is inspired by a chapter from Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai.

Sanober has claimed that the film was made without her consent and accused the makers of producing it with the “intent of commercial and monetary gain”. Through her advocate, DV Saroj, she argued that O Romeo portrays her father as a gangster, which she says is misleading and harmful.

The suit states that the film’s release could cause “irreparable injury” to her and her children, adding that they have “every right to live in the world in peace and a good atmosphere”. It further mentions, “The release of the movie containing a false portrayal would have a serious implication on the plaintiffs’ family members.”

Sanober also argued that her father had helped prevent crimes across Mumbai and other parts of India by assisting the police in tracking criminals. She accused the filmmakers of “exploiting a human tragedy for commercial gain” and claimed that the film would “besmirch the character of a dead person”.

Clarification On Legal Notice

The lawsuit also refers to legal notices previously sent by Sanober to the filmmakers. According to her, the replies from Vishal Bhardwaj and the production house denied her allegations and maintained that O Romeo is a “work of fiction”.

However, Sanober submitted material to the court to support her claim that the film is directly linked to her father. This reportedly includes a podcast interview in which a former police officer connected the story of O Romeo to Hussain Ustara.

Sanober has urged the court to restrain the makers from releasing the film in theatres, on television, or on any OTT platform on February 13 or later. After the teaser release in January, she told Hindustan Times, “They are claiming and showing wrong things about my father. They are saying that we threatened them and asked for Rs 2 crore. That’s wrong. They are making such claims for publicity of the film. We have sent them a legal notice.”

Addressing the issue earlier at the film’s trailer launch, Vishal Bhardwaj defended his position. He said, “This film is from the book, Mafia Queens of Mumbai, by Hussain Zaidi, and I’ve taken the rights of this story. I didn’t think (of the permission). The germ of the idea and the characters are the same, but we’ve added a lot of fictional elements, which permission Hussain Zaidi sahab has taken or should’ve taken. I don’t think it was needed for me to take permission because it is based on a book.”

O Romeo is set in post-independence Mumbai and explores the rise of the underworld. Alongside Shahid Kapoor, the film stars Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Vikrant Massey, Tamannaah Bhatia, Disha Patani, and Farida Jalal. With the court hearing just days away, it remains to be seen whether the legal challenge will impact the film’s scheduled release.

Sanjay Raut: Sanjay Raut, the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Bal Thackeray) MP has casted serious doubts over the untimely plane crash and death of NCP leader Ajit Pawar.

The Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister died in a place crash while visiting a venue in Baramati.

Sanjay Raut On the Death Of Ajit Pawar

Raut, referring to the death of Justice Loya, remarked there are serious doubts about the plane crash and death of Ajit Pawar. The Shiv Sena UBT MP remarked Ajit was keen to join the Sharad Pawar faction. Raut alleged that some people were opposed to this uncle and nephew reconciliation as that would have “shut their shops”.

Raut went on to claim that Ajit Pawar wanted to make a comeback to the Sharad Pawar party but the Bhartiya Janata Party threatened him with Sinchan Scam files. Raut said Ajit died within 10 days of that and this reminds him of the death of Justice Loya.

Raut called for a comprehensive investigation into the Baramati plane crash in which Ajit Pawar and a few others died.

Raut also took a dig at Praful Patel by saying that the NCP is a party of Marathi people and must stay only with the Marathi people. He added that it should not go to the ‘Patel’ people.

BJP Responds To Allegations

Reacting to Raut’s allegations, Maharashtra Chief Minister said Ajit Pawar would have told him clearly if there was any intention to leave the NDA alliance and rejoin the Sharad Pawar faction.

BJP MLC Chitra Wagh blasted Raut and said it is sad to see that the Shiv Sena UBT MP was using the death of someone for his own interests by making unsubstantiated and reckless claims. Wagh, who is also the chief of BJP’s state women wing, commented Raut is even free to approach an international court as he does not trust anything that is Indian.

According to recent reports, Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are expected to tie the knot on February 26. However, a Mid-Day report claims that February 5 has been finalised as the wedding date.

A source told Mid-Day, “On February 2, the pre-wedding festivities will begin. The sangeet, haldi, and mehendi functions have been lined up, followed by the wedding and an intimate reception. The family astrologers suggested that the couple avoid February 26 as the wedding date, instead recommending February 5.”

The wedding is reportedly set to take place at a heritage property in Udaipur, with strong buzz around the City Palace being the venue. Adding fuel to the rumours, a viral video had surfaced online showing preparations at the location. Two women in the clip claimed that Rashmika and Vijay would be getting married there, suggesting that arrangements are already in progress.

Reports also state that the couple held a private engagement ceremony in October last year at Vijay Deverakonda’s residence in Hyderabad. The event was reportedly attended only by close family members.

Guest List, Reception Plans And More

Unlike big Bollywood weddings, Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are said to be opting for a limited guest list. Only close friends, family members and a few industry insiders are expected to attend. Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga and select actors and directors Vijay has worked with are reportedly on the invite list.

After the wedding, the couple is expected to host a grand reception in Hyderabad. The event will reportedly bring together close friends and extended family members.

Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna was recently spotted at the airport, adding to the wedding buzz. Dressed in a beige top and light-blue jeans, the actress kept a low profile as she walked towards her car with security around her. Despite the rush, she paused to sign an autograph for a fan, winning praise online.

Amid the growing speculation, both Rashmika and Vijay have chosen to remain silent and have not reacted to the reports.

On the professional front, Rashmika is gearing up for Cocktail 2, where she will be seen alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. The Maddock Films-backed romantic drama is expected to be released in the second half of 2026.

On Tuesday, the makers finally unveiled the Dhurandhar The Revenge Teaser (Dhurandhar 2), giving audiences their first official glimpse of the next chapter in the spy thriller.

The makers of Ranveer Singh starrer shared the teaser on social media, and it quickly grabbed attention. Expectations were high, given the scale and success of the first film.

Dhurandhar The Revenge Teaser shows Ranveer Singh returning as Hamza, once again taking on India’s enemies in Pakistan. The clip is packed with explosions, gunfights, and intense action sequences. Ranveer is also heard delivering the powerful line, “Yeh Naya Hindustan hai Yeh ghar mein ghusega bhi Aur maarega bhi.”

The teaser also offers brief glimpses of Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan and Sanjay Dutt, signalling that the sequel will feature a strong ensemble cast. Visually, the makers make it clear that the sequel aims to go bigger and darker. The violence feels more brutal, and the stakes appear higher.

Why Fans Feel ‘Scammed’  By Dhurandhar The Revenge Teaser

Despite the hype, the Dhurandhar The Revenge Teaser did not impress a large section of viewers. Many fans felt disappointed and even “scammed” after watching it.

Fans who stayed till the end of Dhurandhar quickly noticed that the teaser contains no new footage. Instead, it is the same montage that plays during the post-credit scene of the first film, complete with the same Night Rider-style background score.

This realisation triggered strong reactions online. Read some user comments below:

Gold Silver Prices: The prices of gold and silver have reversed course much to the disappointment of traders and investors worldwide.

The yellow metal and silver saw a steep decline as investors start piling into safe haven assets in the wake of geopolitical tensions, Greenland ambitions of Donald Trump, stubborn inflation in major world economies and the role of Iran in regional conflicts.

Gold Silver Prices-Federal Reserve Chair Nomination

Donald Trump nominated Kevin Warsh as the next Chairman of the US Federal Reserve. The nomination of Warsh is seen by the markets and investors as a great sign as someone with economic crisis-era experience would be replacing Jerome Powell.

The nomination of Warsh is seen by the markets as an excellent choice. Warsh has been the most hawkish on inflation.

Raised Margin Requirements

The Chicago Mercantile Exchange recently raised margin requirements on silver and gold futures. CME raised gold margins from 6 to 8 percent for standard risk and from 6.6 to 8.8 percent for heightened risk. It increased silver margins from 11 to 15 percent and from 12.1 to 16.5 percent.

The increase in margins would raise trading costs that would force leveraged traders (often longs or shorts) to liquidate their positions. This would amplify selling and depress the prices of futures that have an influencing impact on spot markets. Additionally, the margin hikes can prolong volatility and reduce speculative participation.

The Future Ahead

Despite the recent sharp falls seen in the prices of gold and silver, gold is till up by approximately 65 percent while silver is up by more than 120 percent.

Analysts at Deutsche Bank said they are still highly hopeful that the yellow metal would hit $6,000 this year. Jateen Trivedi, VP Research Analyst, Commodity and Currency, LKP Securities remarked the yellow metal is expected to stay volatile for a while. Trivedi commented that gold is still likely to be relatively more stable when compared to silver that is likely to notice exaggerated swings.

Manoj Kumar Jain of Prithvi Finmart, remarked that both silver and gold are presently noticing widespread patterns of extreme price swings. Jain remarked that the ongoing geopolitical developments and dollar index movements are likely to cause volatility in both silver and gold.
