The Mohan Yadav government has highlighted the benefits being provided under the Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana, aimed at supporting meritorious students in pursuing higher education.

According to the state government, eligible students securing admission in private colleges can receive financial assistance of up to ₹1.5 lakh under the scheme.

Mohan Yadav Government Focuses on Higher Education Opportunities

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said the initiative is intended to help talented students continue their education without financial barriers and provide greater opportunities for academic growth.

The scheme is designed to encourage meritorious students by assisting them with educational expenses and promoting access to quality higher education institutions.

Emphasis on Youth Empowerment Through Education

Officials from the Higher Education Department stated that the state government is working to strengthen educational support systems and expand opportunities for students across Madhya Pradesh.

The programme forms part of broader efforts to improve access to higher education, skill development, and career advancement for young people in the state.

Education Initiatives Remain a Key Priority

The Madhya Pradesh government has been promoting various education and youth welfare schemes focused on scholarships, technical training, innovation, and professional development.

Authorities believe such initiatives can help students pursue academic and professional goals while contributing to long-term social and economic development in the state.

Punjab Police officials reiterated their commitment to continuing strict action against narcotics networks while strengthening public awareness and rehabilitation programmes aimed at creating a drug-free Punjab.

Viral Video: Amid Twisha Sharma Case, Father Soothes Daughter’s Nerves Before Marriage, Says ’This House Won’t Stop Being Yours…,’ Internet Melts

Viral-Video
Google

Viral Video: India is still reeling from the tragic death of Twisha Sharma — a Noida resident who married Bhopal resident Samarth Singh in December 2025 and died on May 12, with her family alleging she was subjected to mental torture and dowry harassment by her husband and his family — when a heartwarming video emerged on the internet that struck an entirely different, deeply reassuring chord.

The Video That Stopped the Scroll

Amid the painful discourse surrounding Twisha’s death, a video has gone viral across Instagram, X, and other social media platforms, depicting a daughter having a deeply emotional conversation with her parents about marriage, social pressure, and whether she would always be permitted to return home if things went wrong.

The daughter asks her parents innocent questions about marriage, but the conversation turns profoundly emotional when she asks explicitly whether she could return home if she ever felt unsafe, uncomfortable, or emotionally disturbed after getting married — “Agar meri shaadi theek nai chali… kya mai wapas aa sakti hu?”

‘This House Is Always Yours’: A Father’s Unconditional Promise

The father’s response was immediate and unconditional. Her parents comfort her right away, saying, “Why can’t you come back? This house’s doors are always open to you. You own this house.” The father further reassures her: “You are my world. You can face any problem.”

As the conversation continues, the parents keep telling their daughter that her safety and happiness are more important than marriage, social expectations, or public opinion.

Why the Internet Connected So Deeply

The contrast with the Twisha Sharma case — where her parents allegedly tried to save her marriage by asking her to stay and compromise — has made the video all the more powerful for viewers. The emotional exchange has struck a massive chord online, especially in the wake of Twisha Sharma’s death.

After Petrol And Diesel, CNG Price Hike Announced, Will Increased Travel Cost Spoil Your Home Budget?CNG Price Hike

CNG -Price- Hike
Google

CNG Price Hike: May 26, 2026 · New Delhi, Four Hikes in Eleven Days, Indians who believed CNG would remain their affordable buffer against rising petrol and diesel prices have had a difficult fortnight. Since May 15, CNG rates have been revised four separate times upward across major cities. The latest hike of Rs 2 per kg took effect at 6 AM on May 26, pushing Delhi rates to Rs 83.09 per kg. Mumbai currently stands at Rs 81 per kg following its own recent revision. This pace of increase, four in eleven days, is among the fastest seen in years.

Why Prices Keep Rising

The root cause sits thousands of kilometres away. The ongoing West Asia crisis has severely disrupted gas supply chains into India, with the halt of movement through the Strait of Hormuz delivering a direct blow to the country’s imported liquefied natural gas procurement. Mahanagar Gas Limited, which supplies Mumbai, stated that geopolitical disruptions, rising crude oil prices, rupee depreciation, and increased dependence on expensive imported gas sources have all combined to push procurement costs sharply higher. Indraprastha Gas Limited, which supplies Delhi and the NCR, echoed the same reasoning when announcing its own consecutive revisions.

Who Gets Hit Hardest

CNG Price Hike: The burden does not stop at the CNG pump. Auto rickshaw drivers, cab operators, school transport services, and office commuters who depend on CNG vehicles absorb each hike directly, and that cost eventually passes on. Uber and Ola drivers have already flagged the pressure on margins. Auto unions in Delhi have begun informal discussions about fare revisions. For families in metro cities who rely on autos and app-based cabs for daily movement, the cumulative effect of fuel price increases across petrol, diesel, and now CNG is beginning to show up as a genuine budgetary strain.

“I Have Nothing to Hide” Ranveer Singh Breaks Silence on Industry Ban Rumours Post Don 3 Exit

Ranveer- Singh
Google

Ranveer Singh: Fresh off the global success of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, Ranveer Singh found himself at the centre of one of Bollywood’s most public professional disputes in years — accused of walking away from Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 just three weeks before the production unit was scheduled to depart for the shoot.

Rs 45 Crore and 200 Workers Left Stranded

Farhan Akhtar and producing partner Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment sat before FWICE in a two-hour session — Ritesh in person, Farhan joining remotely from London. Their claim was stark: roughly Rs 45 crore in pre-production expenses, fully audited, covering hotel bookings, location reservations, and travel arrangements for over 200 crew members. Farhan had formally filed his complaint with the Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association on April 11, 2026. FWICE Chief Advisor Ashoke Pandit confirmed Ranveer had ignored multiple reminders to appear before the body — prompting the Non-Cooperation Directive that now bars him from working with any FWICE-affiliated professionals.

The Statement That Said Everything and Nothing

Ranveer’s spokesperson finally responded. The actor, they said, holds the highest regard for the film fraternity, has chosen silence because professional matters are best handled with dignity and maturity, never felt the need to respond to speculation, and wishes the Don franchise continued success. What the statement did not include: any explanation for the exit, any acknowledgement of the FWICE directive, or any mention of the Rs 45 crore claim. Grace, delivered in writing, with no actual answers attached.

Where Things Stand

The Non-Cooperation Directive stays active until Ranveer engages formally with FWICE. Don 3 sits in casting chaos — Kiara Advani has reportedly exited too, while rumours about Hrithik Roshan and even Farhan himself stepping in as the lead have circulated and been denied. Ranveer moves ahead with Pralay, his upcoming zombie thriller and debut production under Maa Kasam Films.

Beizzati! Donald Trump Shows Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif His Actual Place, Mentions Asim Munir On Abraham Accords, Leaves Out…

Asim Munir
Google

Donald Trump did not need to say anything out loud. A single Truth Social post did the work for him. While laying out his vision for expanding the Abraham Accords as part of a broader Iran peace framework, the US President listed the leaders he had spoken to over the weekend — Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Zayed of the UAE, Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey, and Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of Egypt. Each was named by their proper head-of-state title. Then came Pakistan. Trump wrote one name: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir Ahmed Shah. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was not mentioned. Not even in passing.

Every Other Leader Got Their Title. Pakistan Got Its Army Chief.

The contrast was impossible to ignore. Trump did not make the same mistake with any other country. Saudi Arabia got its Crown Prince. Turkey got its elected President. Egypt got its head of state. Pakistan got its military chief — a man who holds no elected office and answers to no civilian mandate. In diplomatic protocol, this was not a slip. It was a statement.

Trump’s Pattern With Munir Is No Secret

This did not come out of nowhere. Trump has been openly and repeatedly effusive about Asim Munir for over a year. He called him “a great guy” after hosting him at the White House in June 2025 — a meeting that took place before Shehbaz Sharif had ever set foot in the Oval Office. At the Sharm el-Sheikh Peace Summit, with Sharif standing just behind him, Trump publicly referred to Munir as “my favourite field marshal.” On other occasions, he described the army chief as “a great fighter,” “a very important guy,” and “an exceptional human being.” Munir, analysts note, secured direct access to Trump and his inner circle long before Pakistan’s civilian government did.

Ebola Outbreak: India Tightens Aviation Health Security As DGCA Releases New Directives, Is India At Risk?

Ebola
Google

A Rare Strain, a Global Emergency: The Ebola variant now spreading across Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo is the Bundibugyo strain — rarer, less studied, and without a licensed vaccine or approved treatment. By May 2026, hundreds of suspected cases and multiple deaths had been reported across both countries. The WHO declared it a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. India moved fast.

What the DGCA Has Ordered

India’s aviation regulator issued a comprehensive Standard Operating Procedure on May 22, acting on the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare directions. Every airline running direct or connecting flights linked to Uganda and the DRC — including Air India, IndiGo, Emirates, and Air France — must now collect physical Self-Declaration Forms from all passengers and crew before anyone disembarks on Indian soil. In-flight announcements must prompt passengers to report fever, vomiting, rashes, or bleeding. Aircraft must carry triple-layer masks, PPE kits, disposable gloves, hand sanitisers, and bio-hazard bags as mandatory inventory.

Ebola: So, is India Actually at Risk?

Ebola: Minimally — but not zero. Health Minister J.P. Nadda confirmed no Ebola case has been detected in India. India has no high-volume direct routes from Uganda or the DRC, which limits the aviation transmission risk considerably. The greater concern is passengers arriving via connecting hubs, which is exactly why the DGCA extended its SOP to cover indirect routes. Anyone returning from affected regions is advised to seek immediate medical attention if symptoms appear within 21 days of arrival.:

Abortion, Insurance Money And Mysterious Death, New Twist In Twisha Sharma’s Case? As Husband Speaks Up, CBI Takes Over

Twisha- Sharma
Google

Twisha Sharma had every reason to believe life was on the up, and up. The 33-year-old model and former Miss Pune, a resident of Noida, tied the knot with Samarth Singh, a lawyer from Bhopal, in December 2025 after the couple connected on an online dating platform. Five months later, her body was found hanging on the night of May 12th. The post-mortem ruled hanging as the cause of death. It was a murder, said her family.

Dowry, Forced Abortion and Unanswered Questions

The complaint says the harassment over dowry demands started as early as February 2026, weeks after the marriage. Twisha’s family says she was regularly teased for her family’s wedding spending not meeting expectations, and was denied personal spending money as her father sent money to her account just to keep her afloat.

Then April came. Twisha became pregnant – and, from the FIR, her husband Samarth questioned the paternity of the baby, alleging an extra-marital affair. According to reports, Twisha underwent an abortion in the first week of May after sustained pressure from both her husband and her mother-in-law, Giribala Singh. And then a week later, she died.

Husband Talks, Court Orders Second Autopsy

As investigators closed in, Samarth Singh spoke out, but the details of his public statements have done little to dispel suspicion. Police have seized WhatsApp chats and are probing Twisha’s last hours in detail. The first autopsy confirmed the hanging was antemortem – she was alive when hanged.

Supreme Court Monitors, CBI Intervenes

Twisha Sharma:The Supreme Court, citing concerns about potential institutional bias. The FIR was formally re-registered by CBI, naming accused Samarth Singh and his mother and a Special Investigation Team headed by a CBI DIG was constituted and started its inquiry at Bhopal on May 26. Twisha’s family welcomed the development as their first real ray of hope.

From Diplomacy to Detonation, US-Iran War Crisis Deepens With New American ‘Self-Defence’ Offensive, Will Tehran Retaliate?

US-Iran- War
Google

US Iran War: May 26, 2026 · Strait of Hormuz / Doha: Bombs and Briefings on the Same Day. In one of the most glaring contradictions of the months-long US-Iran war, American bombs fell on southern Iran on Monday even as Iranian negotiators sat down for peace talks in Doha, Qatar. The timing has rattled an already shaky ceasefire and left the world asking: how long before Tehran fires back?

What the US Struck — and Why

US Central Command confirmed the strikes in a blunt statement, saying the military action was carried out to “protect our troops from threats posed by Iranian forces.” Targets included missile launch sites and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps boats allegedly caught laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz — the narrow chokepoint through which roughly a fifth of the world’s crude oil and natural gas once freely flowed before the war throttled it shut.

Trump Talks Peace, Drops Bombs

The action lands in peculiar diplomatic territory. Hours before the bombs fell, President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to declare that negotiations with Iran were progressing “nicely.” He also laid out his terms bluntly: Iran’s enriched uranium must be handed over to the United States for destruction, destroyed inside Iran, or eliminated at another agreed location. He simultaneously demanded that Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, and Jordan join the Abraham Accords as part of any final deal.

Tehran’s Response: Silence and a Warning

Iran’s parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf was in Qatar when the strikes hit. Tehran issued no immediate official retaliation, though Iranian state-linked outlet Fars News Agency reported that a stealth drone had been shot down over the Persian Gulf using a newly deployed air defence system. “No stealth drone can penetrate the skies over the Persian Gulf anymore,” an unnamed official was quoted as saying — a message clearly aimed at Washington.

After NEET, irregularities now surface in CBSE evaluation; Prime Minister must sack the Education Minister: Arvind Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal

After the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) paper leak controversy shook the country, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Monday demanded the immediate dismissal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over massive irregularities in Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) evaluation, saying lakhs of students were being pushed into trauma and uncertainty because of an “incompetent and ineffective” education system.

Flagging widespread complaints over blurred scanned copies, non-functional portals, failed payment gateways and the controversial OSM (On-Screen Marking) process, Arvind Kejriwal said the Centre had pushed the future of lakhs of children into darkness and must immediately allow free manual re-evaluation while scrapping the current revaluation process.

In a post on X, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal stated, “After the massive scam that has now come to light in CBSE evaluation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi should immediately sack Dharmendra Pradhan. Dharmendra Pradhan is not fit to remain the Education Minister of this country for even a day or a second.”

Arvind Kejriwal added, “First there was large-scale irregularity in NEET, and now a major scam has surfaced in the CBSE evaluation process. Lakhs of Class 12 students across the country are under immense stress and depression. Their parents are also deeply disturbed and anxious.”

Raising the demands being made by students, Arvind Kejriwal said, “Students are demanding that every child seeking re-evaluation should be given manual re-evaluation. Secondly, the re-evaluation fee should be waived. Thirdly, the entire OSM process should be scrapped. Fourthly, re-evaluation should be completed at the earliest so that students’ admission process is not affected and they can secure admission to colleges on time.”

Highlighting the technical failures being faced by students, Arvind Kejriwal said, “It is being reported that the portal has not been functioning properly for the last four to five days and students are unable to log in. One of my friends told me that his daughter managed to log in only after trying 40 times. The payment gateway is not functioning and all the scanned copies uploaded by them are blurred. Is this how they plan to build a 21st century India? They should be ashamed.”

Arvind Kejriwal asserted that the Prime Minister must act without delay and remove the Union Education Minister immediately. “At the very least, the Prime Minister can do this much. Lakhs of children in our country cannot be pushed into trauma because of an incompetent and ineffective Education Minister. Prime Minister Narendra Modi should sack Dharmendra Pradhan within a minute,” he said.

Kang reiterated that the people of Punjab should support honest and development-oriented politics by electing AAP candidates and further strengthening the Bhagwant Mann government’s mission of progress and public welfare across the state.

Highest electricity supply in the state’s history at present, Yogi government ranks first in the country in peak demand supply

CM Yogi

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s government has delivered remarkable performance in providing electricity to the people of the state. Under the Yogi government, Uttar Pradesh has surpassed Maharashtra in terms of peak demand supply.

On May 24, Uttar Pradesh met a peak demand of 31,824 MW, while Maharashtra supplied 29,463 MW during the same period. This is not only the highest electricity supply ever recorded in Uttar Pradesh, but also the highest by any state in the country so far. Earlier in 2025, the highest peak demand was 31,486 MW, recorded at 12:45 am on June 11.

Despite severe heat conditions in the state, the Yogi government is ensuring the highest electricity supply in the history of Uttar Pradesh. The state achieved a major milestone in the power sector by successfully meeting a record peak demand of 31,824 MW at 10:29 pm on May 24.

The objective of the Yogi government is to provide uninterrupted and quality electricity to every home, village and city, and continuous efforts are being made in this direction. Beyond the fixed roster, efforts have been made to ensure uninterrupted power supply on a large scale across the state.

Electricity supply stood at 29,933 MW at 1 am and 30,569 MW at 3 am during the night of May 24/25. Similarly, 29,573 MW power was supplied at 5 am and 27,392 MW at 10 am on May 25.

In the same way, electricity demand of 29,616 MW was met at 2 pm. The Energy Department is continuously maintaining supply.

UPPCL Director Distribution Gyanendra Dhar Dwivedi said, “According to information provided by the State Load Dispatch Centre, 24-hour electricity supply was ensured on Sunday in urban areas, tehsils, nagar panchayats, metropolitan cities, divisional headquarters and industries. In Bundelkhand, power supply was cut for only 22 minutes.”

The Director Distribution said, “Rural areas were also provided electricity for an average of 22 to 22.5 hours, while the roster for rural areas is 18 hours. This has provided major relief to the general public, farmers, traders and industries.”

Additional Chief Secretary (Energy) and Chairman of UP Power Corporation, Dr. Ashish Kumar Goyal, said, “In compliance with the directions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, efforts are being made to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to everyone in the state. All officers and employees have been deployed on a war footing for power supply works.”

Energy Minister Arvind Kumar Sharma said, “Uttar Pradesh has now become the state providing the highest electricity availability in the country.”

He said that local disruptions may occur at some places due to technical, natural or human-related reasons, but officers and employees of the electricity department are working day and night with full dedication and commitment to resolve them.

The Energy Minister appealed to the people of the state to boost the morale of electricity workers, as they are continuously working in severe heat and difficult conditions to provide better electricity facilities to the public.

Punjab Boosts High-Risk Delivery and Neonatal Care Through Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana

Punjab news

Punjab is significantly strengthening high-risk maternal and neonatal healthcare through the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana, ensuring that complicated deliveries and critical newborn care are accessible to families without financial burden.

A major study based on India’s National Family Health Survey (NFHS-5) survey found that nearly one in every two pregnancies in the country is high-risk. Factors such as poor education, poverty, short gaps between pregnancies, previous birth complications and caesarean deliveries increase dangers for both mother and baby. Researchers say women from vulnerable backgrounds face the highest risks, highlighting the urgent need for stronger maternal healthcare and awareness programmes

The Sehat Card has emerged as a critical support mechanism for women requiring surgical intervention during childbirth due to complications such as prolonged labour, maternal health conditions, fetal distress and previous cesarean deliveries. According to official data received from the State Health Agency (SHA), as on May 25, a total of 7,300 maternity and neonatal care cases were treated under the scheme with expenditure amounting to ₹7.04 crore. Of these, 5,300 were high-risk caesarean deliveries accounting for ₹6.37 crore, reflecting the growing role of the scheme in supporting high-risk pregnancies and emergency obstetric care across Punjab.

Speaking about personal experience, beneficiary Deepika, a 28-year-old woman from Patiala who faced pregnancy complications including anaemia, shares that she underwent a successful caesarean delivery fully covered under the Sehat Card. Her husband Manoj shared that they were very happy that the procedures went smoothly and stress free with the cashless card.

Similarly, another beneficiary, Diksha Sonkar, aged 31, received timely maternal and neonatal care during the birth of her third child at PIMS Medical College Hospital, with all treatment expenses covered cashlessly. Her husband Vikas Sonkar said, “We have two daughters and we were worried if there would be any complications in the third delivery.”

Vikas further says that life becomes deeply stressful the moment someone in the family has to be taken to a hospital. “Even the mention of hospital instills fear in us,” he says. Working as a daily wage labourer, he explains that medical emergencies often push families like his into debt. “Anytime there is a medical emergency, we have to borrow money on interest,” he says, reflecting the harsh reality faced by many low-income workers struggling to afford healthcare. “But with the Sehat Card, everything has been taken care of,” he adds.

Alongside maternal care, the scheme is also providing extensive neonatal treatment support for critically ill and premature newborns requiring specialised medical intervention.

Official data from SHA, Punjab shows that 2094 infants received neonatal treatment under different care packages covered by the scheme. Basic Neonatal Care, which supports newborns managed alongside their mothers, covered 881 infants with treatment expenditure of ₹5.82lakh.

Similarly, 777 infants requiring short-term ICU admission benefitted under the Special Neonatal Care Package with expenditure reaching ₹28.27 lakh. The Intensive Neonatal Care Package supported 207 newborns requiring CPAP support, ventilation for less than 24 hours, or treatment for conditions such as neonatal sepsis, with treatment costs amounting to ₹15.65 lakh.

Official data further revealed that 116 highly vulnerable infants weighing between 1,200 and 1,499 grams or requiring prolonged ventilator support received Advanced Neonatal Care under the scheme at a cost of ₹9.30 lakh.

Critical Neonatal Care for babies suffering from extreme prematurity, multi-system complications or severe medical instability benefitted 64 infants with expenditure of ₹7.88lakh. In addition, prolonged chronic neonatal care support was provided to 18 infants. Also, chronic neonatal care included 17 infants, who required prolonged treatment for conditions like bronchopulmonary dysplasia and necrotising enterocoloitis, worth ₹56 thousand.

The Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana is emerging as a major healthcare safeguard for families across the state. So far, approximately 44.8 lakh registrations have been made under the scheme.
