It’s Diljit Dosanjh vs Kangana Ranaut on Twitter

In a rare incident, Diljit Dosanjh on Thursday slammed Kangana Ranaut on Thursday for one of her tweets wherein she had identified an elderly woman as Bilkis Bano of Shaheen Bagh.

Diljit took to Twitter to post a video of the said lady and identified her as Mahinder Kaur of Punjab. “Respected MAHINDER KAUR JI Ah Sunn La Ni With Proof @KanganaTeam. Banda Ena V Ni Anna Hona Chaida.. Kush v Boli Turi jandi aa .. (Listen to this with proof @KanganaTeam. A person should not be so blind that you say whatever you feel like),” he wrote.

In her now deleted tweet, Kangana had shared a picture of Mahinder Kaur and called her Bilkis Bano while adding that she can be bought in Rs 100.

Meanwhile, reacting to Diljit’s tweet which was addressed to her twitter handle, Kanagana wrote, “Responding to Diljit’s tweet, Kangana wrote, “Ooo Karan johar ke paltu, jo dadi Saheen Baag mein apni citizenship keliye protest kar rahi thi wohi Bilkis Bano dadi ji Farmers ke MSP ke liye bhi protest karti hue dikhi. Mahinder Kaur ji ko toh main janti bhi nahin. Kya drama chalaya hai tum logon ne?”

“Tuneh Jitne Logon Ke Saath Film Ki Tu Un Sab Ki Paaltu Hai…? Fer To List Lambi Ho Jaegi Maalko Ki..? Eh Bollywood Wale Ni PUNJAB Wale aa .. Hikk Te Vajj Sadey Jhooth bol kar logo ko badhkana aur emotions se khailna woh toh aap achey se janti ho..” Diljit wrote while replying to Kangana.

Kangana then took to Diljit’s comment section and wrote, “Oh chamche chal, tu jinki chat chat ke kaam leta hai, main unki roz bajati hoon, jayada mat uchal, main Kangana Ranaut hoon tere jaisi chamchi nahin jo jhoot boloon, maine sirf aur sirf Shaheen Baag wali protestor pe comment kiya tha, if anyone can prove otherwise I will apologise.”

Diljit, in a separate tweet, wrote that he doesn’t ask for work in Bollywood, instead Bollywood directors come to him, asking him to work in their films.

Meanwhile, in what seems to be an attempt to cover-up, Kangana said that she did not comment on Mahinder Kaur but was Shaheen Bagh protestors who instigated communal disharmony in the name of protests. “I had only commented on Shaheen Baag dadi cos they instigated riots there even that tweet was deleted almost immediately, I don’t know from where they brought another elderly lady into the picture and now endlessly spreading lies.Vultures trying to instigate mob against a woman.”

Diljit Dosanjh has been supporting famers’ ongoing protests who have come out on street to oppose recently passed agriculture related bills.

Supreme Court directs installation of CCTVs in all police stations and Central probe agencies

The Supreme Court on Wednesday directed the Centre to install CCTV cameras and recording equipment at the offices of investigating agencies, including the CBI, the ED and National Investigation Agency (NIA), which conduct interrogations and have the power of arrest.

A bench headed by Justice R F Nariman said that states and Union Territories (UTs) should ensure that CCTV cameras are installed at each and every police station, making them imperative at all entry and exit points, main gate, all lock-ups, all corridors, lobby and reception area as also areas outside the lock-up room.

“Most important of all is the storage of CCTV camera footage which can be done in digital video recorders and/or network video recorders. CCTV cameras must then be installed with such recording systems so that the data that is stored thereon shall be preserved for a period of 18 months,” the Supreme Court said.

“As most of these agencies carry out interrogation in their office(s), CCTVs shall be compulsorily installed in all offices where such interrogation and holding of accused takes place in the same manner as it would in a Police station,” said the Top Court.

The court issued these directives while disposing SLP filed by one Paramvir Singh Saini, which raised issues regarding audio-video recordings of statements and the installation of CCTV cameras in police stations generally.

The court, while impleading the states and Union Territories, had noted that in Shafhi Mohammad v. State of Himachal Pradesh (2018) 5 SCC 311, it was directed that the first phase of implementation of crime scene videography must be introduced by 15th July, 2018, at least at some places as per viability and priority determined by the COB.

It was also directed therein that with a view to check human rights abuse, CCTV cameras be installed in all police stations as well as in prisons.
