Indian Railways: On the occasion of Navratri 2026, good news has emerged for lakhs of Indian Railways running staff (locomotive pilots and guards). Recently, a 50 percent hike in Dearness allowance (DA) was announced. Now, an in-principle approval for an increase of 25 percent has been granted by Railways in the Minimum Guaranteed Kilometerage Allowance (KMA), according to Shiv Gopal Mishra, General Secretary of the All India Railwaymen’s Federation (AIRF).

Mishra remarked that the development is a result of long-standing struggle and unity among the employees of Indian Railways. The AIRF General Secretary said he recently had a discussion with Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and raised the issue. The Railways Minister assured Mishra that orders for the same would soon be issued for the benefit of locomotive pilots and guards.

Indian Railways-What is Kilometerage Allowance (KMA)?

Kilometerage Allowance (KMA) is provided to employees who are posted on running duties, i.e., those operating trains. Unlike regular office staff, running-staff employees who travel continuously during their duty are not entitled to receive a daily allowance (DA). Therefore, a fixed amount for every 100 kilometres travelled is paid to them. This includes a minimum guaranteed Kilometerage Allowance.

KMA is decided by the Indian Ministry of Railways via bilateral discussions with the concurrence of the Ministry of Finance and the Railway Federations (National Federation of Indian Railwaymen and All India Railwaymen’s Federation).

When Will The Order Be Issued?

The Railway Board is likely to issue an official order on the matter within the next 1-2 business days. In a post, AIRF General Secretary said this is a long-awaited and important victory for running staff members. The 25 increase in KMA for them has now been secured.

In a statement, an OpenAI spokesperson remarked that the sales team would be led by Chief of Applications Fidji Simo while President Greg Brockman would temporarily oversee the responsibilities of product overhaul and associated organisational changes.

According to posts on social media, many people in Pakistan managed to watch the film at home. The situation quickly went viral online and triggered strong reactions from users.

Pakistanis MOCKED For Watching Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge Via Piracy Amid Ban

The controversy started after journalist and research consultant of the film, Aditya Raj Kaul, shared a post on X. He reshared a tweet by a Pakistani journalist who claimed he was watching the movie in Lahore at his house. Kaul wrote, “Sadly Dhurandhar – The Revenge pirated version has reached Pakistan today itself. Below is a Pakistani Journalist confirming the same and enjoying the film on his Home Screen. Pakistanis can’t live without Indian Cinema even if it’s about crushing Pakistani terror! (sic).”

Several users commented on the viral post and shared their views about the film being watched despite the ban in Pakistan. One user wrote, “Let them watch how India ghar mai ghus kar har bar marta hain and let a few more tv screens be broken.”

Another commented,  “It was for sure that the pirated copy will get circulated within the hours of release, As they can’t stay without watching it. After all, they also want to see their own reality.”

A third user said, “They just can’t live without Indian cinema, that’s the truth …..because they can never make a film so superior.”

One more joked, “Karachi today is ranked safer than Delhi. They should be grateful to Hamza Ali Mazari for cleaning up the city (laughs).”

Some Indian films are officially banned in Pakistan, but incidents like this show that the demand for Hindi cinema still exists there. Even the first part of Dhurandhar was watched in the country through pirated copies after its release.

A weak Indian rupee could “force” foreign investors to pull money out of India, resulting in high market volatility and unstable markets. Jobs and businesses in India may get impacted as companies would face higher costs, resulting in hiring slowdown and pressure on small businesses.

In the immediate short term, the Union Government would deploy a series of tools to control inflation to ensure Indian economy is relatively stable. RBI intervention is also likely and it may resort to the sale of US dollars. However, risks could prevail if war continues for long. It could then lead to supply disruptions, continuous rupee fall and prolonged high oil prices.

According to the US Senate Appropriations Committee, a sum of $838.5 billion has already been approved by the Congress in defence funding for the 2026 fiscal year.

According to media reports, the funding request would likely stage a severe political battle in US Congress as Democrats have been sharply critical and public support for the Iran war remains tepid.

Iran Mocks War Joined By Donald Trump

Iran immediately mocked the funding request saying the United States is burdening its own citizens for serving an ‘Israel first’ agenda.

This is not the first time that the Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has taken a dig at USA for being involved in the war. A few days back, Araghchi had commented that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dragged the United States and Donald Trump into “his war against Iran.”

It was after Trump had commented that the United States was not a party to the Israeli operation on the South Pars gas field in Iran. The Islamic Republic of Iran soon retaliated by targeting a series of gas facilities in the Middle East.

Trump went on to comment that Israel would not be launching any more attacks on South Pars unless Iran provokes by hitting Qatar facilities.

About The Film

Ustaad Bhagat Singh follows a fearless police officer, played by Pawan Kalyan, who fights crime and political corruption at the Mahankali Police Station in Pathar Gunj. The story traces his journey from a tribal boy, shaped by a teacher who names him Bhagat Singh, to a determined man standing against injustice. His main adversary is the villainous CM aspirant Chadala Marri Nalla Nagappa, played by R. Parthiban.

LPG Shortage: The Indian Government has invoked the Essential Commodities Act amid the ongoing global energy crisis because of Middle East crisis. This would make it mandatory for all oil and gas organisations in the country that are engaged in processing, production, storage, refining, import, export, consumption, transportation, marketing and distribution of natural gas and petroleum products to furnish their real-time, granular data to the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC).

LPG Shortage-Turn Of Events

Sujata Sharma, joint secretary in the ministry of petroleum, remarked that a Gazette notification has been issued by the Union Government designating PPAC has the nodal agency to collect, compile, analysis and maintain information. Previously, PPAC was entrusted with the task of compiling oil & gas sector data but now it would seek real-time, granular data to plan proactively for emergencies.

Any order violation under Section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act would be treated as a criminal offence and could result in imprisonment.

The release of the Bihar Board (BSEB) class 10 and 12 results in 2026 is nearing completion. Key processes have been completed, results are now anticipated “soon” to be released. 

Result Date: When Will BSEB Declare Results?

According to the most recent updates, BSEB’s 10th Class Result 2026 is expected to be released on or about March 27 at 11:00 A.M.; If Class 12 results are forthcoming this could also occur very shortly after BSEB classes 10 release results.

LNG Shortage: The Islamic Republic of Iran has struck several Middle East countries, disrupting approximately 17 percent of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) export capacity of Qatar. Saad al-Kaabi, QatarEnergy’s CEO and state minister for energy affairs, remarked that the air strikes have caused an approximate $20 billion in lost annual revenue.

The State Minister remarked that the repairs would sideline 12.8 million tonnes every year of liquefied natural gas for 3-5 years. This would translate to threatened supplies to many Asian and European countries, including Asia and China.

LNG Shortage Disruptions

Saad al-Kaabi commented that he would not have imagined in his wildest dreams that Qatar and the Middle East region would be attacked by a brotherly nation in the Holy month of Ramadan. Over the last few days, more than 14 LNG trains and one of Qatar’s 2 gas-to-liquids (GTL) facilities were damaged by strikes in Iran.

State-owned QatarEnergy has remarked that it has no choice but to declare force majeure for up to 5 years on long-term contracts for LNG supplied that are bound for China, Belgium, Italy and South Korea because of the 2 damaged trains.
