Bhagwant Mann: Punjab Police continued its anti-drug crackdown under the ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ campaign, arresting 114 alleged drug smugglers during raids conducted across different parts of the state.
According to official information shared by the police and the Anti-Narcotics Task Force, authorities recovered 2.9 kg heroin, 75 kg poppy husk, 271 intoxicant tablets/capsules, and ₹3,625 in suspected drug money during the operations.

The action was part of coordinated raids carried out at multiple locations across Punjab as part of the ongoing campaign against narcotics trafficking and drug abuse.
Focus on rehabilitation along with enforcement
Apart from enforcement action, officials said 26 individuals were persuaded to undergo de-addiction and rehabilitation treatment, reflecting the government’s dual approach of strict policing and rehabilitation support.
Over 62,000 arrests since campaign launch
Punjab Police stated that the cumulative number of arrests under the anti-drug campaign has now reached 62,932 in 432 days.
Commitment against drug menace
The Punjab government led by Bhagwant Mann has repeatedly stated that action against drug trafficking networks remains a top priority, with regular raids and intelligence-based operations being conducted across the state.
