The CM Yogi Adityanath government has directed authorities across the state to maintain heightened preparedness in view of the severe heatwave and rising temperatures expected over the coming days.
According to the Information and Public Relations Department, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed officials to ensure strong coordination related to healthcare, drinking water supply, electricity services, and relief measures during the extreme weather conditions.
CM Yogi Adityanath: Special Arrangements for Heatstroke Patients
Officials stated that government hospitals have been directed to make special arrangements for patients affected by heatstroke and heat-related illnesses. Authorities have also been instructed to maintain adequate availability of medicines, hospital beds, doctors, and ambulance services.
The state administration said district authorities, health departments, and disaster relief agencies have been placed on alert mode to respond quickly to emergencies arising from extreme heat conditions.
Focus on Drinking Water and Power Supply
The government has also issued instructions to ensure proper drinking water facilities at public places and maintain uninterrupted electricity supply during the heatwave period. Officials noted that continuous monitoring is being carried out to avoid disruptions in essential services.
Authorities have advised departments to remain especially vigilant between May 19 and May 21 due to the possibility of severe heatwave conditions in several regions of Uttar Pradesh.
Public Safety Measures Prioritized
The Uttar Pradesh administration stated that precautionary measures are being taken to minimize health risks and ensure public safety during the summer season. Officials emphasized that timely medical support, relief coordination, and uninterrupted civic services are essential for protecting people from heat-related emergencies.
