The Uttar Pradesh government is set to accelerate infrastructure and public welfare development in Chitrakoot with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath scheduled to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of 124 development projects worth over ₹951 crore in the Chitrakoot and Manikpur Assembly constituencies.

According to the state government, the projects cover key sectors including roads, bridges, education, irrigation and public infrastructure. The initiatives are aimed at improving connectivity, strengthening civic amenities and enhancing the overall quality of life for residents in the region.
The government said the projects are part of its broader vision to preserve Chitrakoot’s cultural and religious significance while equipping the district with modern infrastructure. Known for its association with the Ramayana, Chitrakoot is being developed with a focus on balancing heritage conservation and urban development.

Officials said the new infrastructure is expected to improve access to essential services, boost economic activity and create better opportunities for local communities. Enhanced road connectivity and upgraded public facilities are also expected to benefit pilgrims and tourists visiting the region throughout the year.
The programme will be held on July 8 at Chitrakoot Inter College, Karvi, where the Chief Minister is expected to address the gathering and review ongoing development initiatives in the district.
