PM Modi Israel Visit: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been conferred the “Medal of the Knesset” by Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana for his immense contributions to the Jewish people and the State of Israel.
Modi received the medal from Ohana after he addressed the Knesset – Israel’s House of Representatives – citing strengthening ties between Jerusalem and New Delhi.
PM Modi Israel Visit: Statement By Knesset
The statement by Knesset remarked cooperation in the segments of technology and security expanded during the tenure of PM Modi. It added that the Indian Prime Minister worked to deepen the cultural and political connection while strengthening the position of Israel as the central partner of India in the Middle East.
DON'T MISS
Ohana remarked this is a significant and historic moment for the entire state of Israel and the Knesset. Ohana also added that the award that is the first ever for any foreign leader expresses the deep appreciation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s work for creating a strategic alliance between India and Israel. It was also commented by Ohana that Modi’s policy is an expression of a consistent, sincere and courageous friendship with the state of Israel.
Implications For Pakistan’s Security Arithmetic
Islamabad views the embrace of PM Modi by Israel as a direct and consequential threat. With a shared anti-terror outlook, intel sharing between India and Israel could neutralize Pakistan-backed groups, amplifying pressure on the terror infrastructure of Rawalpindi.
Moreover, Hexagon proposal by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu explicitly targets radical Sunni functions, implicitly including Pakistan-linked outfits, forcing Islamabad to recalibrate amid its China-Pakistan Economic Corridor strains.
China’s Strategic Unease
Beijing watches warily as Indo-Israeli innovation hubs challenge its tech dominance, with joint ventures in Cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and semiconductors eroding the export edge of China to India. The visit of PM Modi to Israel endorses counter to “radical Shia axes” disrupting China’s Tehran alliances and Belt and Road ambitions.
