Bengal Assembly Election 2026: “EC In Studied Silence”, Death Threats Issued To Mamata Banerjee By BJP? Will WB Rewrite History Tomorrow?

Bengal Assembly Election 2026: Trinamool Congress (TMC) has alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has issued death threats to the sitting Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The state of West Bengal goes into the second and last phase of state assembly election voting tomorrow. Many political experts believe that this may be the end of TMC and the start of BJP in the state.

TMC has alleged that the Election Commission of India (ECI) is in cahoots with the Bharatiya Janata Party to help it win the state assembly elections.

Bengal Assembly Election 2026-Truth Behind TMC’s Allegations

TMC alleged that Ajay Alok, the BJP spokesperson, issued death threats to Mamata Banerjee. In fact, Alok had posted on X that people who are too arrogant and bully others need to be taught a good lesson using a popular Hindi proverb. This was deliberately manipulated by the TMC social media team as a threat to the sitting Chief Minister.

In a reply, Ajay Alok urged TMC not to play the victim card and avoid intimidating people from its goons.

Extension Of 24×7 Citizen Helpline

The first phase of polling in the state of West Bengal was held on April 23 with a record voter 93.2 percent turnout like never before. Meanwhile, Lok Bhavan West Bengal announced that the 24×7 citizen helpline has been extended till May 1 for ensuring fair, free and fear-free elections in the state.

The helpline helps voters in the state to report grievances, facilitate timely institutional support and seek guidance.
