Adidas: The Indian cricket team's new gear sponsor has been announced as German sporting goods company Adidas, according to Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah. Killer Jeans manufacturer Kewal Kiran Clothing Ltd, who stepped in as a temporary sponsor after the original sponsor Mobile Premier League Sports (MPL Sports) withdrew from the agreement in the middle of it, will be replaced by Adidas.

Adidas Takes Over as India's Cricket Team Sponsor from Killer Jeans

After Killer Jeans' current sponsorship agreement expires on May 31, Adidas will become the new sponsor. Before Killer Jeans, MPL sponsored India's uniform. A clothing company named Killer took up the kit sponsorship from MPL, who desired to end its 2023 commitment. The MPL paid the Indian board 6.5 lakh each match and 9 crores in royalties for a three-year contract.

BCCI in Search of New Principal Sponsor amid Byju's Contract Concerns

Following allegations that the current sponsor, Byju's, was prepared to quit its contract before the deadline in November 2023, the BCCI is also seeking for a new principal sponsor. The ICC Cricket World Cup will be held in India this year from October to November. The World Cup year means that fans may soon get to see India's brand-new ODI uniform.
