IPL News: Huge Trouble For Lucknow! Gautam Gambhir To Walk Out Of The Tournament, Find Out The Reason

IPL News
In the latest IPL News, Gautam Gambhir might leave Lucknow Super Giants for next season. Read here to find out the reason

IPL News: Lucknow Supergiants might face a huge setback in the upcoming IPL 2024 as Gautam Gambhir might be parting ways with the team. Gambhir is not joining another team but rather taking a break from sports.

Gambhir has been amazingly successful with LSG. In the two seasons he has been with the team, the team has reached the final both times and won once. They would have won IPL 2023 as well if it was not for Ravindra Jadeja’s heroics in the last over.

LSG had just appointed MSK Prasad as the strategic consultant and was looking really strong. But according to reports, Gambhir is considering taking a break from IPL next season due to Lok Sabha elections.

IPL News: A Break From Cricket

In 2024, IPL and Lok Sabha elections will take place during the same time. BCCI is also looking to hold the tournament outside India because of that. And former Indian opener might also miss the 2024 iteration of the tournament because of the same reason.

Gautam Gambhir is an important figure in the Delhi elections for BJP. He is the East Delhi BJP MP and has contributed massively to the party from his district. BJP won 21 out of 36 wards in East Delhi during the MCD elections.

That is why Gambhir will be a prominent campaign figure for the party. A report by News18 states that the sources have told them that Gambhir will not leave the Lucknow franchise but will only take a break for a year.

US Master T10 League

As of now, Gambhir is playing in the US Masters T10 League for New Jersey Titans. He will be playing alongside players like Yuvraj Singh and Yusuf Pathan in the same team. While Suresh Raina and Robin Utthapa are also part of the tournament.
