IPL Viral Video: On Monday in IPL 2023, Lucknow Super Giants achieved an exciting last-ball victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore by successfully chasing down the target of 213. Despite losing their star batters, Nicholas Pooran who hit 62 runs in just 19 balls and Ayush Badoni who scored 30 runs in 24 balls, in the 19th over, LSG’s chase had been progressing smoothly. However, the final over of the match, which was bowled by Harshal Patel, will always be remembered as one of the most dramatic ever.
The Most Dramatic finish ever
Jaydev Unadkat and tailender Mark Wood were at the crease as Lucknow needed only five runs to secure a win in the final over. Although Harshal Patel claimed two wickets in the over, Lucknow’s Avesh Khan and Ravi Bishnoi successfully managed to guide their team to victory.
Ball 1: On the first ball of the over, Unadkat played a yorker-length delivery to mid-off, taking a single and leaving LSG with only four runs to win.
Ball 2: Mark Wood was bowled by Harshal Patel, who claimed his 100th IPL wicket, leaving LSG with four runs to get.
Ball 3: Ravi Bishnoi hit a fuller ball to point and took two runs, leaving LSG needing two runs to win.
Ball 4: Bishnoi pulled a hard length ball and took a single, bringing Unadkat on strike. LSG needed one run to win.
Ball 5: Harshal Patel got his second wicket of the over, with Faf Du Plessis catching Unadkat at long-on with just one needed. LSG still needed one run to win.
Ball 6: In a dramatic turn of events, Harshal attempted to run out non-striker Bishnoi, who was backing up too far. Harshal fumbled but managed to hit the stumps with a throw, catching Bishnoi short of his crease. However, the run-out did not count as Harshal was through his bowling action. LSG still needed one run to win.
Ball 6: Harshal bowled again and beat Avesh Khan, but Dinesh Karthik fumbled at the worst time and LSG completed a bye run and eventually won the match by one wicket. Avesh celebrated the victory by throwing his helmet on the ground, something rare to see because the batter had scored zero runs off one ball.

This win was a historic one, as it marked the fifth time that RCB had lost after scoring 200 or more runs while batting first in the IPL, the most for any team.
