Lausanne Diamond League: Neeraj Chopra makes history again with a superb throw

Lausanne Diamond League: On Friday, Neeraj Chopra created history again after winning the historic diamond league title. The 24-year-old announced his comeback in a styles Javelin thrower after he was forcefully thrown out of the Commonwealth Games 2022, Birmingham due to his groin injury. He suffered from this injury while winning a silver medal in World Championships last month.

To heal from his injury, the 24-year-old rested for over a month and came in form as if nothing happened. This history of 89.08m throw was Neeraj's third career-best effort. Before passing to the third attempt, his second throw was calculated as 85.18m.

After this historic win, Neeraj becomes the first Indian to win a Diamond League Crown. Prior to Neeraj, Vikas Gowda, discuss thrower was the only Indian to have finished in the top three in a Diamond League Meeting.
