Hayley Matthews’ big hit
UP Warriorz started well with their decision of bowling first. The MI team could score just 12 runs in the 2 overs. Star opener Hayley Matthews took on her usual rhythm later and smashed a big six that has left everyone talking about it. The ball continued to sail further even after landing across the boundary rope with its bounce.
Grace Harris came to bowl down the fourth over of the innings in an effort to restrict the hitting. She was close to doing it perfectly as she gave up just 1 run in the first five balls. However, on the sixth ball, Matthews slog sweeped it across the square leg and hit a massive six. However, her innings was brief as she scored just 26 runs off 26 balls before being caught by Kiran Navgire.
