Wimbledon 2023: A new king of the center court has arrived. A new era is upon us and we should be grateful to be part of the history. Those who missed this match must be regretting their decision.
After a hard-fought exhausting yet one of the best Wimbledon finals ever, a new winner was crowned. As an exhausted 20-year-old Spanish kid fell on the ground, it was a sign that a new champion has been crowned.
A very calm and composed Djokovic, was enraged while the exhilarating and always emotional Carlos was keeping his cool. Maybe the resilience of these two was the only difference that decided the winner.

After losing the first set by 6-1, Carlos made an amazing comeback and won the next two sets. The second set was a hard-fought victory as Djokovic did not let him go till the last second.
But the third set was evidence to everyone that this 20-year-old kid is ready to take over the world. He dominated the ace of center court and won the third set by 6-1. The match looked finished at that moment, but it is the king we are talking about.
He won't go without a fight, will he? Djokovic won the fourth set and forced the fifth set to be played. And a match that looked really close throughout was suddenly opened up. Djokovic started getting exhausted, and frustrated and meanwhile, Alcaraz grew in confidence with each point.
Finally, as he fall down to the ground with the score of 1-6,7-6,6-1,3-6,6-4; a new era was ushered in the Wimbledon.
Djokovic was really close to matching Roger Federer's record of 8 Wimbledon titles. But he fell short and as Carlos won the finals of Wimbledon 2023, the Serbian is still at 7 Wimbledon titles.
He will be back next year though and you can never count him out, can you? But with Alcaraz rising, it is hard to see anyone dethroning him now.
